Did you even read it? He said they're having a public beta preceding the actual launch with a few weeks, which is more than possible if the 'have a complete game at open beta release"-philosophy holds up.

You're making the mistake of thinking in terms of 'levels' instead of a skill-based system. Until you can free yourself from that, all your ideas will suck.

I can relate to how you feel, all the MMORPGs right now are rather boring and static. Currently I've pretty much given up on them and am just waiting for Darkfall.

This is amazing, and everyone who has been following the game for 1-3 months or more knows how good of a Dev journal this is. I have to say that the confidence he displays is great, it's good to see an honest challenge to the horrible games out there. Barring the obviously superior game features and the huuuuge open world, I think that the straight up honest way of presenting the Beta date and the screenshot-policy is a ton better than releasing unfinished games, pushing back the announced Beta date again and again and pretending the graphics are a billion time better than they really are. You are free to disagree of course. Either way, I applaud the Darkfall Development team.

I didn't mean for this topic to be a place where people mistake Darkfall's style for bad graphics, and then further in another discussion about whether Darkfall is vaporware or not. Sigh.

The graphic engine seems acceptable to say the least, hopefully we wont have more Vaporware trolls claiming that it will be outdated. Warcry promises a Dev journal next friday.

HAHAHAH, playing a game is wasting time!   Why such a need for a rush to the cap where most times there is little to do, or just raid for sets of gear....so lame and so very boring!

 

Even if I only got 1xp a kill and needed 1mil xp a lvl, I'd rather grind it out then sit at the cap with nothing to do!

Are you under the illusion that the only purpose of every game is to grind your way to the level cap? And you find that entertaining?

I don't understand why people who claim the game will fail unless it's dumbed down are reading these part of the forums in the first place.

So apparently you can only PK someone every 3 hours? That's what I read on the forums anyway. Does anyone have any information on this game or is it just another Asian MMORPG that plays exactly like the others?

This is the stupidest post I've read in a while, and I read these forums regularly. There's no way this is an attempt at a legitimate discussion.
