I gave options for a reason. My options were different possibilities of a classic server versus no I do not want one. You have some flawed math on this one.
Besides I think there is a enough interest for Sony to profit in making this type of server for the untapped niche market that exist. Gamers such as myself are not interested in the dumbed down shallow easy games that are out today, we want some depth and challenge. Vangaurd was basically our only hope for a game that isn't catered towards children and it sadly failed to deliver with the buggy, performance issues at launch. Now Sony has it's paws on it and are determined to turn it into EQ2 or WoW like it could compete on that saturated easy type game market. We all learned what is in store for Vanguard via their Podcast.
There has been alot great ideas that come up in these topics on how a classic server could be successful and stay classic. The one I like mainly is once the cap is reached people have the option to transfer to Sony's live servers. If it was done this way, players that love classic could stay and others that grow tired and want to advancer further could move on. It would be a win win situation as it would be a great place for new players to start and bring back alot of veteran players as well. Progression servers were wrong in many ways and that is not what we been asking for. They did not make it classic, all the current changes were still in the game, they just disabled expansion packs. The updated graphics for zones and player characters were in. Even the god awful PoP books still were in ruining the experience with such a reminder of the pain to come.
Once Sony wakes up and realizes a classic experience is what so many people would come back for they would breathe new life into that dying game.
