This Editorial explains exactly what I think is wrong with Warhammer.

The problem I have with posts/articles like these is that for people who are in well orginized guilds, like myself, a lot of these claims are wrong. I can get a PQ, BO, Keep, Scen group anytime I need and there is plenty of chat in both guild and alliance chat. I also talk to many people over region chat depending on the situation especially if they arn't in our alliance. So I definatly blame the people if other servers are having this problem, the game just needs more good guilds. |

Guild wars- The only honest frree 2 PLAY game out there.
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 11/29/08 3:00:54 AM
I say its not a true MMORPG, it's an Online Role Playing Game, they even advertised it as such when first making the game. The reason for it not being an MMORPG instead of ORPG is the fact that even though the game is "massive" and its "multiplayer", its not "massive multiplayer". This means having a massive amount of multiplayer, which it does not have outside of towns. This is not saying it's bad in anyway, it's just stating what people believe. |

This is something I found funny when people complained about Warhammer's PvE. "It's nothing but quest, quest, quest, scenario, quest, quest, quest". I would like someone to explain to me how this is different from any other MMO, PvE or PvP one it's all the same. People just like to complain. |

ORvR is still going strong on Azazel in T4. |

Lvl 40 - RR 33 - Warrior Priest Lvl 19 - RR 13 - Shadow Warrior Lvl 18 - RR 12 - Swordmaster Lvl 12 - RR 10 - Engineer Lvl 10 - RR 10 - Bright Wizard I have more alts but I don't think they are worth mentioning, after hitting 40 with my WP I havn't been doing much while waiting for the Knights to come out. The alts were mainly made out of bordum since I wasn't really interested in waiting for scen pops and ORvR only recently started getting good on Azazel. |

I can tell you that Azazel has a decent ammount of action and balance in T4. I don't know how it is in lower levels but I can assure you that in going to increase in a week with the new classes head start going on. |

I would suggest a good way to play without a trial is to find a good warhammer guild and develop a friend in that guild and they will more then likely help you in someway of trying out the game. |

I agree with this game probably being the best new MMO out now. The game does have flaws and Mythic knows of them and are working on them. Like all MMOs, the game needs to be polished more.

Nice responces to my little flamer topic. The things I say from what I saw anyway.
If most of them are retarded, statiscally speaking, wouldn't that give you a pretty good chance of being in the short yellow bus group as well? Never claimed I wasn't and never will because we all say something stupid on the internet one time or another. This was mainly suppose to be a joke topic based on real feelings I have towords WoW vs WAR argument. Exactly this. It's amazing how many people will say " We never said warhammer will be the wow-killer" after the fact. I was in war beta and I did see people say that, and I hated that people said that since I knew this situation was highly possible. Let it be the start to the WoW version of "the funny thing about people". Um... duh? I don't know why people keep saying this like they're surprised. If a game is not as good as or better than the game I am playing now, I have ZERO reason to want to play it. It's that simple. I frankly don't care if the game is "new and shiny" if it's still a crappy game. Why should I pay to play a game that is clearly not finished? That's not the way the system works. Because MMOs never come out fully finished and polished. All MMOs take time to develop since a lot of the greatness of them comes from the playerbase, if there is no establish playerbase to help the game be good it wont be good. A weird thing is that if more people had T4 characters, the game would be a lot more fun but they are too lazy to get that far or actually go out and RvR. One thing a lot of poeople overlook is that most "wow fans" complaining here are really just dissapointed Warhammer players. The problem I am having is that even though this was suppose to be a funny topic, people would get the real out of me. Anyone who has played a lot of MMOs knows is that no MMO will be as good as your first and a lot of people WoW was there first. Another issue is that people are already established in WoW and don't want to go back to having to relevel a character in another game. They don't have all the areas memorized and know where to go in quests and it takes time and they get bored unlike in WoW that have already leveled a few characters and can do it with there eyes shut. This is going to happen with any new MMO and I hope people see through this like I did cause I am sure this is an issue with some not all mind you but some even if they don't want to admit it. So, lets say you go out for dinner and order a burger. It comes and you eat it and you think to your self damn that was a good burger. A week or month or year later you return for one of those great burgers, you order, it comes and it tastes like crap nothing about it is as good as the last one. You call over the waitress she says, "oh" the normal cook is not here tonight and that is a good burger you have, if you think its bad that is just your opinion, youll just have to settle for it, but if you want what you think is a good burger come back in a couple weeks and the other cook will be here. Would you tell your friends about this resteraunt, would it be in your top ten. Is this acceptable service in your mind? Is it not fair to compare burgers, should we have to eat the crappy burger with the hope that in a few weeks they will be good burgers? What do you think? I love this one, kind of puts it in a more realistic purspective but there are a few flaws. By this would mean to assume that I think that the 2nd burger is bad as in WAR is bad. I don't feel that way I feel is though the 2nd burger cook is giving me the wrong toppings on the same good burger. Like Mayo, but then thats not to say that the first cook isn't trying to throw mayo into his version of the burger. The burger is still good by both chefs is just I don't like the mayo, so changing the toppings on the burger would make it a better burger and thus be recommended to friends. That's what I think. |

WHY IS IT SO EXPENSIVE TO PLAY? 300 HRS limit in a month? come on
General Discussion « Aion 11/25/08 4:55:11 AM
I don't mind a time limit at all but this is clearly a korea thing only. I played War as much as I was willing to level up to 40 fast, I was the 15th person in my guild of almost 200 to get to 40, it was almost a full months time with the SE early start and I only spent 10 days and 5 hours to get there for that month with head start. 300 hours = 12 and a half days total. So I would be fine with it. |

is that most of them are retarded.
People will say "omg! WAR fanboi better watch out, he will flame you." then it happens because anyone who likes something will want to defend it and what happens? They get flamed back but no one says "omg! WoW/DF/whatever game fanboi! GTFO!" People will complain that they want a new game and that they are sick of WoW, yet they will go back to playing it which gives Blizzard a reason not to change anything. Good going! I love your thinking! People expect new games to be as good as older and more established games. This goes with anything in comparison to WoW. Instead of waiting 4 years and actually play the new games to see them actually evolve let's just sit and say "This sucks, change it." People will bash games to living hell and then say "I would consider going back if they ..." then why are you trying to tell people how much it sucks if you would consider playing it again? You think telling random people your problems will fix it? Did creating MMOs become therapy? People will say "This game is exactly like WoW" then later say "This games PvE sucks, it's nothing but quests and killing stuff" Hmm ... sounds exactly like WoW to me. These are they same people that fit #2. People will complain that they didn't get what they were promised when they bought the collector's edition of a game before even playing it. So, it's the game companies fault for you wasting money on a game you never played ... I love it!!
I could come up with more but I don't feel like thinking. Let the flames begin!! |

The last few days have been insanely fun on Azazel. People have actually been going out in open rvr and taking keeps and objectives and actually have huge battles. This is what warhammer is all about and what the trolls and haters are missing since they wont level past T3. |

sounds more like your on a server that had free transfers. think it's time to move servers. |

I am wondering when and if the beta keys we got there are actually going to let us in. I have read on the website that gaining a key does not mean you get into the beta. so I wonder standing in line for almost 2 hours was really worth it other then the 15 mins of RvR gameplay. Go Order at Phoenix Gate!

There are quite a few games in beta or in development that arn't listed even on MMORPGs game list. Mainly cause no one wants to take the time to submit the games they find to the website which is why you don't see forums based on them. |

Warhammer and AoC have such a huge fanbase already that even if they are bad that people will still play them cause everyone does. |
