Please post the time you validated the open beta key and also the time you received the email - this will give peeps a good idea as to the response time etc.

All I want to do is enter my damn Open Beta key - How about opening the servers so people can do that?

Since very early this morning there have been recurring problems with the open beta servers. This is an issue that affects all servers equally and so we have been working with Mythic to resolve this. Currently all of our servers are down with the exception of Athel Loren while our team works on a solution. We expect to have an update on this situation within two hours.

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Is that a French server? if so how can all servers be equally efftected when Athel Loren is fine?

Can some of the sorry souls who are so upset by things going wrong in the BETA phase tell me what they actually expected? Did they want it all to be perfect at this point? If so, then why would this phase still be classified as a BETA phase? Im actually astonished that EA/Mythic/GOA have actually elected to apologise at all given the knuckle-dragging buffoonery that is the general make-up of the vast majority of the 'complaints'. I get the impression that they are so eager to avoid the mistakes made by Funcom on the communications front that they will actually readily apologise for absolutely anything, whether it is justified or not.

I hope all of you cretinous neanderthals who are already whining realise that the upshot of what you are doing is that future games companies will not let anyone, who hasn't been carefully vetted for BETA, near their games until they are in the shops. I suppose on the other hand, this does prepare the WAR developers for the inevitable avalanche if idiocy that will come their way on general release if there is like one bug, or HEAVEN FORBID, a server crash or something!

If this was one month before release I'd agree with your comments, but the week before doesn't sit well with me, especially since our US counter parts are having so much fun!

Personally I think Mr Hickmans comments should have been kept to himself rather than spouting stuff about his customer base.

Right or wrong, there will be a massive uproar about this blog - the only valid point he has made is regarding death threats - being angry and venting is part of any customers right, otherwise change would be something of the past.

Open beta or not, part of the lure for buying CE/SE was to get access to Open beta and hence this is something we have paid for.
