Hell's yeah you should come back. It's a great game, good solid fun. I had an absolute blast whilst playing. Only problem is, no matter how much I love an MMO I just cant seem to continue playing after a month or two. Maybe I just overplay them early, thus getting sick of them quickly. Or perhaps I just wasn't meant for MMO's in general. :( Aaaany way if you are going to play any MMO or come back to one or whatever, I recommend this to be the one :)

Well as people have said, it's all personal opinion in the end. Your new to GW so im gonna say Prophecies because it's the first. I have yet to player EOTN but I guess you could get that along with Prophs. I suppose if you absolutely love the game, you will probably get them all soon enough in any case. Thats what I did hehe. I actually started off with Factions. I have yet to talk to anyone who agrees with me on this but I find Factions to be the best. Just love the theme and environments. Also the music is great and im a big ritualist fan. Hate the assassin class though hehe. Overall Factions is much easier than the other campaigns and MUCH shorter. Not really a bad thing for some people. I sure dont mind if it's short and easy, it's definately the one I have had most fun playing. :D Anyway hope you enjoy the game. Let us know which one you choose first and your thoughts on the game. :)

Too, Too many. Bioshock, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 at the moment.  Once done with the single player ones, going back to the online shooters. Team Fortress 2, Enemy Terrirory: Quake Wars, Call of Duty 4 and Frontlines: Fuel of war. Also playing Condemned 2 and Army of 2 on PS3.  Only usually play one or two of these a day though.

Hehe. Yeah in order to have a chance at making millions more social and healthy, you'll have to stop a lot more than just this game.

Same music I listen to when playing pretty much all my games. Amon Amarth, Type O Negative, Slayer, Testament, Rammstein, Sepultura,  Moonspell, In Flames and maybe Pantera.

Nah I dont and never will feel cheated, as I cancelled my pre-order today. Also, Harafnir, just out of curiousity, do you report every single forum member who has even the slightest negative thing to say about a game?

Thanks for posting the shots Avery. Im aware this is beta footage but im still very surprised with these screenshots. They dont look too flash. Obviously very different to the other screenshots I have seen. Almost looks like a different game heh. Im guessing it was being played on a beta tester's lower end pc on very low graphic settings or something. Thats definately what im hoping. Oh well wait and see I guess. Thanks again. :)

Holy crap. There have been so many insane announcements from many game companies today. It all gets me very interested but I then find, these topics are just lies/jokes. What the hell is going on today!?

  Geez I know it's april fool's n all, but im getting pretty sick of all these lame posts with all this bull____ info. I aint laughed at a single one yet. So many on just about every mmorpg forum site. Cant wait till it's over. My little outburst of anger for the day.

I will not be playing WAR because at the moment I believe Age of Conan will be better. I also think it wont be able to top several other upcoming MMO's as well as MMO's currently out. Might still be a good game though.

Wow......I decided to give it another shot and I actually got it to work. Im in shock hehe. The big reason Playonline was telling me the FFXI games were not installed was because I had the wrong Vista version of POL. I kept trying the EU version everytime which is supposed to be the right one for me. Problem was I got my copy of FFXI via ebay and in the item description, it was not displayed that the the copy I bought was the US VERSION!!! Anyway got the US version of POL and game works fine. Pffft. After all that trouble and frustration I went through, and the solution was as simple as that. Oh well not the first time something like that has happened. See some of you FFXI fans in game hopefully. : ) Im thinking im gonna have to drop EQ2 now....

I play EQ2 on a DELL XPS M1730. Runs almost perfectly on Very high quality. Get a few memory crashes here and there in the really busy zones but thats common for many players. The laptop is expensive, but definately worth it in my opinion. Then again, it all depends on how much you are willing to spend.

I have yet to try making contact with the support team. Thought perhaps I could sort it out myself by checking some of the forums,etc. Seems to happening to quite a few people with Vista. Looks like phone contact with the support team is my last hope.

Yeah I definately still love FFXI and cant help but really want to play again. I managed to get the playonline account onto my laptop. The big problem is now it says I cant play FFXI because it is not installed. But it IS installed. The game and all of it's expansion are installed on the laptop. It was driving me nuts so I gave up. If anyone here has had the same experience plz let me know if you found a solution. Btw I have two seperate copis of Vanadiel collection 2007.

Thanks for the responses guys, but I have deciced to give up on the game. Really enjoyed it and like the FF world but it's just too much trouble. Already hit WAY to many problems and havent even started playing the friggen game yet. Guess FFXI and laptops/VISTA just dont mix. Doesn't matter. Ive still got two of the greatest games ever -EQ2 and GW. Also got AoC on pre-order. Think thats enough gaming goodness for me. :)

Guild Wars now of course!!! GW 2 wont be out for a long time. Why wait when you can already play a great game with 3 campaigns and an expansion. Also no monthly fee's so it's not a massive money commitment. Cant go wrong with GW. Been playing for 2 years now and it's still on of the top 2 mmorpg's, and it aint even considered a REAL mmorpg hehe. Tons of fun, still really good graphics in my opinion and it can run on lower end systems. Just my opinion though.

I was in the same situation as you OP. Wanted something awesome and pretty top of the line. Also wanted the process to be quick and easy. I just went on DELL.com and got the latest gaming xps M1730 laptop. It's "packed to the max". I have heard many people say things like 'Dont waste your money on a DELL and dont get VISTA, etc, etc. However I have not encountered a sinlge problem with it so far. I am extremely happy with my purchase. Already spent hours and hours gaming on some top notch graphical games on max settings, (The Wicher, EQ2, Quake wars just to name a few) Now I cant imagine not having this machine hehe. Looking very forward to Age of Conan and from my research, I believe it should run really well on around high settings at least. (I hope) Unfortunately it's a little more expensive than your spending limit. Yes indeed they are extremely expensive but in my opinion it's worth it. You get what you pay for. A damn fine machine :) I believe it's possible to get the same system for about the price you are looking at, but it wont be as 'packed'. For instantce it'll be a 8600 rather than a 8700, 2 gig rather than 4, possibly no SLI tech. Im not certain of these things specifically but you get what I mean. Anyway do what you will and I hope you get a great gaming machine. You should post again if you end up getting a laptop soon and let us know how it turns out. :D

For me until Age of Conan, it's Everquest 2 and Guild Wars all the way!!! Absolutely love those games. Was also going to subscribe to FFXI once again but that plan fell through, plus I figure two great online games is more than enough to keep me satisfied until AoC. Great thing is im still very new to EQ2 so if AoC doesn't turn out a success for me, I'll be more than happy with what I already have. : )
