I see where you are coming from OP. The only real problem with your reply was the opening. It's a personal attack. Most of what is said around here are opnions and no matter who it upsets or who disagrees, it is allowed ,as it's an opinion. Just as long as it's not something offensive or negaive towards a member. Everything else in your posts are just fine and I can agree with a lot of it, but abusive comments like your first are flat out attacks and wont be tolerated by many people around here. I jusr felt it would be a shame if you were banned or something as a result because I would probably enjoy discussing MMO's such as Vanguard with you.

Whether you agree with the OP or not, there was definately no reason to report them for that post. I completely agree with the OP. I indeed love the idea of Darkfall and do hope it one day releases as something great, but with all that has happened, it's completely understandable that people will be skeptical of the games existance. There have been far worse post's around here that do deserve reporting but not this one buddy. :(

If people feel the game sucks, that's fine. Let them post their opinions. Thats what forums like these are meant for. Troll posts are the main reason I keep coming back to forums such as this. I can see how this game was such a big let down to so many people. It sure did come up lacking in the end. Many broken promises from funcom so yeah, in that way the game does kind of suck. Dont really like your post OP :(

I'm looking at it and it's still isometric. And it is no more an mmorpg than the original 2 were. It's just Diablo 2 with a couple extra classes and better graphics. Other than that, same ol' same ol'.

But I like the Diablo games for what they are, so I'm fine with it. Just don't expect to ever see D3 listed here.

 

It looks full 3d to me just a fixed isometric camera.

To me, and most people I'm thinking, full 3D means 1st/3rd person view, not top-down view only. If you notice, Waterlily asked if it was "isometric or full 3d".
 

 

Well 3D is 3D, and seeing as the character models are 3d (and probably the landscapes though this is harder to tell) it is 3D.

Yep, full 3D means you can turn your character and see everything around you as you do.

Also, if they host D3 on the Battle.net servers for free like D1 and D2, Blizzard just killed Flagship Studios game Mythos.  And further destroyed Hellgate: London, since Flagship stupidly tried to market it off the Diablo craze.

Yes, very true. I hadn't thought about that yet. So long Hellgate. I have now lost complete interest in mythos also haha :D

Just finished watching the gameplay vid. Looks brilliant and a hell of a lot of fun. Cant wait. Gonna be hell just waiting for an official release date. By the way, the wall of zombies is fantastic, and the end battle where the boss eats the barbarian male (I think), is fricken awesome!!!

I just re-joined Vanguard, and it's one of the best MMO gaming choices I have made in a long time. I always liked it, but with the massive performance improvements, I know love it. Btw OP thanks for posting your thoughts and experiences with the game. Good to know many people are joining/re-joining this great games and having a blast! Hopefully I'll see you guys in game. :D

Thats your opinion, fair enough, but I have never bashed age of conan, I just didn't choose to renew my subscription for it. Thanks for the reply though.

Hi all. Extremely happy with my decision to return to Vanguard. The game now runs great on very high graphics settings and as all of you know, many fixes to the game have been made. Hopefully soon enough the game will become even greater and we get more content, fixes, updates, the lot. Anyway I just made a new charatcer on the Halgar server and would really like to join a friendly, active and helpful clan. Please let me know if you are looking for  a new in-game friend and adventurer, and if any clans would have me, I would love to join. Thanks for reading. :)    Oh, and the name is 'Issyl'.

Well yeah MMO's do tend to get patched on a regular basis. Get used to it buddy. : )

Hi. I'm not a Vanguard veteran but in my opinion all of the classes are quite unique. Obviously I have not played them all but as far as I know, there are no classes that are strikingly similar. In terms of class balance and if they are all useful to a team, I have no idea. Sadly haven't been far into the game and only ever play warrior class. Only MMO I have played that has a ton of classes, many of which are VERY similar to one another is EQ2. Hope this helps and hope you enjoy Vanguard. I think it's awesome. :)

So what MMO's are you playing at the moment Deadly? Did you lose interest in AoC? Playing EQ2 and Vanguard still? I too hope Aion is a success, as it looks great. Hmmm, very good review OP. I enjoyed the read. Just may have to re-install and re-subscribe tonight. I always really liked Vanguard. Just never ran great on my machine, but it will probably run a whole lot better now. Thanks again :)

Very interesting. I too have noticed some changes since the latest patch. Was going to start a topic about it but wanted to first see if anyone else had experienced changes. Before the latest patch, the game would run very smooth on high settings. It would only get a bit slow when in busy towns. Now after the patch, the game is struggling and running like a slideshow on medium settings. I mean COME ON. Now a little frustrated about the whole thing but guess all I can do is wait and see what happens. Perhaps there are not many who are affected by this and we are just a small minority. I hope not because then things probably wont change for us :(

I voted happy with the free month and not minding paying the initial cost for the game. Still quite new to MMO's and have yet to last up to over a month with any of them. The first month I think im in love and play for many hours for most of the week, until some new game comes along,  then I just seem to forget about the oldies. But I always consider re-subbing to all of them a few months later though. Who knows, maybe I will soon discover MMO's may not be for me :( Just wanted to add that I think this is an excellent thread. Very nice work OP. Threads like this  I do not see very often, it's a unique one, as far as I know. Look forward to discussing further topics in the future,
