the ingame ads in AO are in no way disturbing, actually u wouldnt notice they are ads.. they are just sweet movies of ingame events or to advertise the ao expansions which are not f2p :p the little movies which are placed in some billboards in shops with nice sound effects fit in a science fiction game like ao.. conan is another case... maybe they can put posters (or something) in the big cities but thats about it :s

This update really sucks. It'd be much better if they'd complete and polish the game before adding more stuff/bugs.

who said aoc deserves 9+ apart from those reviewers? like i said i agree with 7.8 or near that.

yougamers stinks, piece of crap site. and im not saying that cause they gave aoc a low rating, good for them... the site contains a invisible iframe launcher and the staff isnt professional at all. IGN is better, and they even didnt give that high a rating
 

and thats bad? ^_^ im not saying its fantastic or anything..

if it was paid beta then it wouldnt deserve these high ratings, at least i thought 7 is more then enough 0_o
gamerankings: 83.3% and ign (imho the beste site) gives it 7.8... thats above "just another average game"

what they are now promising for fall, they were basically promising for the gold version.

 

this game right now has no meaningful PvP, the world is not a tenth the size they've promised for release (4x the size of the "competition") and so on...

I think Funcom is full of shit and this just proves we are paying for a beta now.

the ratings show the game IS NOT paid beta, everyone whos complaining completely fell for the hype cause they expected so much yet every normal human being knows u cant expect too much of an mmo at launch. u all make me laugh

and im glad that everyone cancels their subs maybe i can chat about something else then how much aoc sucks cause every topthread at the main page consists of that, all the same to me

IGN.COM rated the game at 78%

ALL MMORPG's of the last years got bigger scores with IGN except for Tabula rasa and D&DO.

All the other MMORPG's had a greater score.

Of course IGN.COM are just Wow fanboys aren't they?

The higher the number of players in an instance the more FPS drops.

They are now beta testing how much further they can raise the limited number of 40 players per instance (10 in reserve to allow grouping) to at least have a Beta trial of Siege warfare

It reminds me of the first days of open Beta where everyone (including the GT8800 cards) came out crawling in the cities.

Suddenly the third day "the miracle patch of a few Megagytes "solved" the problems.

They just reduced the number of players in instances to 40+10.

If the FPS just go down now: it is proof they are changing the code to the instances. The greatest victims will be the mid to low range of computers.

a lot of mmos have less then 40k, next to that vanguard has 4 servers i heard only the pvp server is dead the rest has very healthy pops. AO has 12k subs over 3 servers and i know 2 of them are very busy dont know about the other one... so.. dead? noooo :)

but yes, there are many many fixes but nothing big so far, they really need to do that within a month. but some people think its really easy to fix the greatest bugs/missing content :s the bigger the issue the longer the fix.. that goes for every game/mmo so stop complaining? lol @ aoctester, i laugh every time i read your crusade like posts

reviewer didnt say there is no content at 40+, just less..

anyway.. IGN really is the best quality gamesite out there imho, and this "review" proves it, no hate vs love but a more balanced opinion (thank god). im not expecting them to do a full review soon
