Started EQ the day it went live and played it way too much.

I finally quit when I realized just how much content I would never see because of the endless camps to get keyed and flagged and such.

I have thoughts of going back, but I just can't bring myself to the camping issues.

The graphics are not an issue.

I quit playing WoW awhile back myself.   I just didn't like the rule changes they were making.  Too me, it was no longer enjoyable.

They have how many millions playing though?  It is kind of hard to say the model "isn't working".  Clearly it is.  But like everything else, it will eventually fade out.

It is a shame that nothing truely new and original has come out in awhile.

In some ways it was more of a MMO than GW and DDO but since it had private servers it isn't really a MMORPG.

128 people in the same instance do beat many games including AoC so it is really close to be a MMO.

 I stand by my point that it was a single player game. People used it to create persistant worlds that you could call MMO's but each of those would be a MMO that used the NWN "engine" so to speak.  NWN was marketed as a single player game that could be modded.   You are right in that there were large pop's on some of them, and I had a great time playing some of them.  The price was definitely right - lol the first FTP MMO's.

I believe you are thinking of the wrong game. 

Back in the early early days of  America Online, they had Neverwinter nights.  It was a true multiplayer game, but kind of limited by the technology.  You paid by the hour also and it was rather expensive.

Neverwinter Nights on AOL if you want to count it.

It was multiplayer at least.

Then "The Realm"

Then EQ starting the day it opened.

Have moved through several since then.

If they are working in Community Relations for SOE, the only real requirement is a comeplete lack of personal integrity.

This is the same kind of garbage $OE tried to pull back with EQ and the raiders and then with SWG/NGE.

Who is going?   There is absolutely NO way to get a representative group of players involved.   And how are they going to "audit" the operations?   Will they even know what to look for?

This is a waste of time and money.   I hope the article turns out to be a hoax.

It would be nice if CCP would just enforce their own rules fairly across the spectrum.   Sadly, they haven't yet, and this is just another sign that they don't intend too.
