LOTRO is a great game to play! The only thing i didnt like about it was enormous amount of chain quests.

There is no WOW killer. Wow is a great game, but will fade in time and something else will step in. Nothing lasts forever.

Wow! I have a lot to say but ill try to sum it up........

Relationships in games doesnt work! Ive seen it, seen what it does to guilds and RL relationships, and unfortunately ive been apart of it. Even though its been over a year Im still trying to regain my wife's trust....

if you and your RL wife/hubby play to gether cool! You and your RL boyfriend/girlfriend play together cool! You and some some other person in another state saying your in a relationship online..not cool and not real.

Play the Gane for the game!. if you want a relationship go to a online chat thing. or better yet...get a real relationship going with someone in your area.....

By the way...in my opinion only there is no "role-playing" anymore. That term lost its meaning along time ago. By this i mean for instance: you are taking about something or something using, ole english, talking about strategy then someone suddenly says for instance. That burger i had at mcdonalds gave me the hershey squirts...im not eating there anymore. The Rp aspect is now completely gone. Real role playing is being on stage in a production for instance. You have to stay in character. PPL always never stay in character. In online games or not for any lenght or period of time at least. Now im not saying that ppl arent staying in rp or its not happening but simply its never enforced or never stay in "character".

Look its just my opinion based off  experiences playing MMo's. Ive seen friends and others hurt because they take something the wrong way, send the wrong messages, being coy,  just just wanting attention, or just wanting ppl to help them w/o helping others.

its just my opinion only.

You also dont want marathon sieges either! LOL ppl have to go to bed some time! :-) I personally cant wait to participate in sieges!!!

Great points Doomkitty! I was just giving an example is all. :-) 

from what i understood early on is that they wont have many emotes due to issues with other games.  While many of the emotes are funny and entertaining to me it takes too much away from the game. Sometimes the emotes are unwanted like in WOW when your playing a female and some dude walks up and flirts with you. You tell them your a guy and they send you hate whispers. (this is why i dont play females characters anymore). This is just an example.  Im not a fan of emotes anyway.

Anyway i agree with forced grouping thing. When i played wow I and many other ppl encountered the following:

1. PPL AFK constantly

2. They didnt get the item they wanted and bailed forcing a 20 min search for another person.

3. They bailed because things didnt go the greatest.

4. PPL being generally slow not really wanting to be there and only because they've been there 20 times b4.

5. Personality conflicts was another one.

6. ANAL RETINTIVE raid guilds that forced you to have your toon a certain way to raid or not letting you in because "they are full" (we know that they were being selfish in trying to get tier items)

Im not bashing wow but these are some of the things ive encountered when i played it and if war corrects them outstanding! They'll have my monay any day.

I plan to have 1 character not raid or pvp/rvr just to try it out.

2. how many times you died being afk

3. how many times you died jumping

4. how many times you died in pvp or city siege mode.

5. items youve crafted

6. how many times you afk.

7. how many times you left pvp/rvr while afk

8. how many times you were killed by same person/toon

and all reverse benefits for you also!

WOW was very easy to learn. The first few levels are easy and allows you to enjoy the environments! You dont have to read huge texts to figure out what to do as far as gameplay. I would would say the learnign curve is only baout 2 hours tops to get the basics.

You also figure out quickly to relegate your tactics when you start to pvp or group up!

COH/COV was the 2nd easiest to pick up and learn.
