Want feedback from fans? Hold a Fan summit in REAL LIFE.. Make the fans who wish to input, give themselves a name and an image.. Know who you are talking to.. Not some shadow over lines..

2 Fan summits a year (one east coast, one weast coast), open up the floor for questions and suggestions and go from there..

(The republic player isn't dumb and instead of feeding himself to the daily counts of enemy players decides that he'd better hit that queue button on the bottom right or call it a day)

The game isn't that bad.. Maybe it was worst during launch (which most mmo's are, yes, even your beloved WoW)

but of course..

Well besides the fact they are spending so much time on basically one part of the game, which also happens to be the part that I am least concerned with atm..

Son, I am dissapoint..

it was fun while it lasted, but for clocking in at 4 weeks more or less, it ranked right behind Aion for the quickest mmo I quit..

There is absolutely nothing to do atm, as I have never been an alt roller..

If they had an off-line mode, I would perhaps play through each class storyline, but that and only that is not worth the sub for me right now..

I still think the dev. was on the right track with this game..

The game had bugs when it released, but the world, the way you interacted within the world and the way the world gave you an image of being quite large (massive actually) is what the industry needs these days to break up the "streamlining" we got going on these days..

F2P will work.. Not sure on their plans, but they need to consider it..

Personally I think they ultimately want to throw everything that makes the game different into EQ2 and just shut it down completely, which would be very silly, but when they opened EQ2 F2P and kept VG P2P even though EQ2 was doing better sub wise at the time it really said to everyone that "we want THIS to be the game you play"..

This is how i feel too.. and I still get "o.0" whenever I tell someone that I never once subbed to WoW (played Beta and that was it)

As much as people claim to hate the game though, it's too late.. We had our chance to determine the path for the industry.. We could have fed EQ tens of millions of subs, or even Ultima.. We could have even fed Anarchy Online millions of subs and created a different standard as to which mmo's are blueprinted these days..

But as a force, we have already spoken with our wallets (well not mine, but yours)..

Stop all the BS.. Nobody wants WoW to die.. Many of you spent years working on your characters and there is nothing they could release these days that would make you wanna give them up for good..

When Blizzard has taken enough sub dollars, they can transfer the game to F2P and once again rack in millions more dollars..

It's here to stay and so are all the games that want to be it..

Reality > Pride..

No one wants the stigma of having to re-brand their product as a F2P after being released a P2P, but whatever works, works..

They may still attract a few more people going F2P, but I think they might have hurt themselves a little by re-releasing this game as P2P after it had fell off the radar previously..

Had they returned it to people as a F2P game as G1 did APB, might have had a different story to tell right now..

I still think the game is doing well enough; I certainly wouldn't call it a failure... but I do hope alot of those folks who used to argue that "dynamic " content and events would put other MMO's OoB have sobered up a bit.  Like anything else, some people will like it, some people won't.  and still others really don't give a crap whether it's dynamic or static, so long as they have fun playing.

 

Every single MMO after the pop culture boom of WoW has had this type of hype (As well as hate)..

It's expected... But I personally don't need to be re-assured that millions of other people fill hundreds of servers to enjoy the game..

Release new Flashpoints? People only run the same 3 as it is already.. Only seen 2 guilds even organized enough to attempt an operation..

They could of just released the PvP and bug fixes and saved the FP and OP for later.. More content for people to avoid, especially since they are re-using the existing gear wheel which can be obtained in previous "quick run" FP's such as HM BT..

I'm glad to see them pushing new content but I think it's the wrong type of content.. Or maybe I'm just being yet another PvP douchebag.. Then again maybe I am..

I tried this for a while too.. But then you look around and notice that this is what the internet has become period.. There is no hiding.. No running.. When you open that browser, you click accept on the terms and agreements that includes belly flopping into tons of feces as you look for whats important to you and information that may interest you..

No matter what forum you run to, you will meet these and people like these people everywhere..

Perhaps in 2021? At the earliest, when we are all virtual avatars strapped in with full body suits and visors..

VG was onto this pretty hard before the updates stopped...

If they ever get that game straight and turn it F2P, many of you guys will see how a world is done..

You actually had to buy your land in a housing area in the main world, then you had to really build it with supplies from crafting.. Just like boats.. It takes work, but you could have a house right there...
