Weirdly enough, today my free Planetside - Core Combat trial ran out. After some discussion with me & myself I decided it was time to come back and start fresh with Lord of The Rings Online - Shadows of Angmar.

I purchased the digital download of the game around 6pm central time, and it is now 10:30. The game download is currently at 90% so i'm hoping that quite possibly I will be able to get the game atleast to the starting point so I can type in all of the names I enjoy using that will most likely not work because of my long lost evil twin who always uses the same names. 

So yes, I agree it was/is a very long download time. Hopefully the digital version is updated.

EDIT: Also, if anyone plays on the Elindilmir server give me a shout.

The server seems to have a nice forum community and in-game RP community, so it is where I will reside.

I suppose it is understandable that you call it a WoW clone, seeing that Warcraft itself is in fact a poor spinoff of Warhammer lore. I am sure you knew nothing of Warhammer before you started wasting your time with WoW and this is the cause of the misunderstanding.

Fighting a Disciple of Khaine

The best way to deal with a Disciple of Khaine is to keep them out of arms reach. A Disciple’s true power can only be enacted if they can lay blade upon flesh. Deny them this and you deny them the advantage in a fight. If you find yourself facing one of these Dark Acolytes in close combat you must attack with reckless abandon. Feverishly attempt to overcome them before they can drain you’re very strength to use against you. Disciples must be watched carefully and their fell magic countered in short order, or you will find your very essence trapped in servitude to Khaine.

Gore is more or less hacking your foe to pieces and having a bloody mess at your feet.

I am pretty sure they will have blood when you strike your foe, so don't worry about it.

They have great artists if you havn't noticed.

 The artists produce the concept art and after getting the OK from Games Worshop, hand it over to the rest of the team so that they can create the in-game models of the art.

Good animations and blood are completely fine and what they should aim for.

It's when you start hacking limbs off that people get upset. While it also helps immersion to add gore effects like such, it also ruins it when you respawn moments after dying with all limbs intact.

If you want gore I suggest looking into a forum or site dedicated to such things.

Pixelated gore doesn't make the game any better, atleast not for me.

Let's assume that everyone who has previously played a Mythic MMO, as I did with Dark Age of Camelot, comes over to WAR... DAoC had a peak subscription of 250,000 four years ago and is now down to 50,000. Let's say all of us from 2004 come and add a bunch more who are fans of the Warhammer world... 300,000 sound about right? or are you putting a lot of stock on the 600,000 applicants for beta? 600K willing to play for free that is...how many will cough-up the cash on a monthly basis?

LOTRO had ~ 200,000 at launch... and the end result was a net INCREASE to WOW... I'm still having a hard time seeing WAR and AOC combined putting much a dent in the 10,000,000 WOW comunity... a comunity which, by the way, is more than half from places where neither WAR nor AOC will be available (China and vicinity)

Notice which are the only 2 games that come anywhere near remotely close to WOW? Lineage (~3,000,000 at peak) and Lineage II (~2,000,000)... hmm.. I wonder where those games are most popular? North America? Europe? Oh, wait! Those are also mostly asian numbers.

Think of WOW as Windows and all the other MMOs as different versions of Linux and you'll get the picture.
