and i thought Vanguard took a while to patch...
General Discussion « Lord of the Rings Online 3/12/08 10:25:56 PM
Weirdly enough, today my free Planetside - Core Combat trial ran out. After some discussion with me & myself I decided it was time to come back and start fresh with Lord of The Rings Online - Shadows of Angmar. I purchased the digital download of the game around 6pm central time, and it is now 10:30. The game download is currently at 90% so i'm hoping that quite possibly I will be able to get the game atleast to the starting point so I can type in all of the names I enjoy using that will most likely not work because of my long lost evil twin who always uses the same names. So yes, I agree it was/is a very long download time. Hopefully the digital version is updated.
EDIT: Also, if anyone plays on the Elindilmir server give me a shout. The server seems to have a nice forum community and in-game RP community, so it is where I will reside. |

Before the Game and after the Online.

I made a few on purpose. "I see babies crying" - The Empire soldier yelps "Bright blessed days and dark sacred nights" - Warrior Priest Last vid sounds like the orc yells "YEEEEAAAHHH!" The rest is just coincidence |

Probably a stupid question: sex for buffs?
General Discussion « Age of Conan 3/12/08 12:53:00 AM
Ehem, the sexual dictionary has an interesting definition of Buff.
Buff: Informal term for 1. The bare skin ; nakedness; nudity. 2. In the buff , the state of being nude ; nudity. Swimming in-the-buff . See naked for synonyms. 3. One who is enthusiastically devoted to and knowledgeable about an activity or subject. 4. In teenspeak, muscular, having a well-toned body. 5. In teenspeak, to make oneself more attractive. 6. Brownish-yellow color; tan.
There are other definitions, but I am sure posting those would get my post deleted due to explicit terms. |

I am sure you knew nothing of Warhammer before you started wasting your time with WoW and this is the cause of the misunderstanding. Therefore I forgive you, and thanks for the concerns. omgktnxbai! |

I am sure they will add Battle Groups/Raid Groups similar to those in DAoC. |

The Disciple of Khaine
The chosen dark priests of the bloody handed god, The Disciples of Khaine, can be found on the frontline of any Druchii assault. Using wicked ritual blades, a Disciple harvests the essence of their enemy and offers it to Khaine in exchange for fell blessings and dark powers. These dark gifts allow the Disciple to tend to the needs of the Dark Elf host, mending bones, suppressing pain, and even raising critically injured warriors to fight again. The Disciple of Khaine is the shepherd of war, ensuring the bloody slaughter can continue in the name of their dark god. Disciple of Khaine Speciality The Disciple of Khaine is a true master of murder. Trained in the dark rites of Khaine, a Disciple can steal the strength of a soul with just a nip of their razor sharp blades. With the essence of s soul taken from their opponents, the Disciple can enact dark rites, calling upon Khaine’s favor to bless Druchii warriors. This can make soldier immune to pain and even raise the dead to fight once more. A Disciple is also a consummate fighter and skilled torturer for Khaine relishes the essence taken from a slow agonizing demise over that of a quick well placed deathblow. Playing as a Disciple of Khaine The Disciple of Khaine must be in close range of his opponent as he requires the blood of the enemy to enact their dark rites. As such, a Disciple is trained both with the blade and the dark arts, capable of weaving the two into a staggering blend of offensive and defensive power. In small fights, the Disciple is a master of shifting the balance of a fight; what they reap from their enemies they give to their allies. What was once an opponent’s strength will soon become their own. Fighting a Disciple of Khaine The best way to deal with a Disciple of Khaine is to keep them out of arms reach. A Disciple’s true power can only be enacted if they can lay blade upon flesh. Deny them this and you deny them the advantage in a fight. If you find yourself facing one of these Dark Acolytes in close combat you must attack with reckless abandon. Feverishly attempt to overcome them before they can drain you’re very strength to use against you. Disciples must be watched carefully and their fell magic countered in short order, or you will find your very essence trapped in servitude to Khaine.
Taken directly from the main Warhammer Online Website. EDIT: Of course if you are looking for a Caster DPS / Melee DPS class, keep dreaming. |

Battle March, Mark of Chaos, and Age of Reckoning.
Also, I just tossed the Youtube link up for any of you "rapidshare-haters." |

Oh what a wonderful world it is! Here is a video I made moments ago in response to the recent "humor" threads, and talk of WAR being full of rainbows and sunshine. Hopefully you all like it and have a nice laugh in the process. I am pretty sure they will have blood when you strike your foe, so don't worry about it.

Here are a few starting points.
Find a "Tome of Knowledge" in another game. Find Siege RvR in another MMORPG other than DAoC (which was made by Mythic). Find another Trophy System. Find another form of Warhammer Healer Gameplay. EDIT: Thanks poster below - Find another form of Public Quests.
Have fun, and you get bonus points for these I have listed. |

Ever since SWG chopped down the main player base by introducing the NGE, they havn't been able to recover from the weight of the fall. They have been failing for months on end. - Nothing New

Good animations and blood are completely fine and what they should aim for. It's when you start hacking limbs off that people get upset. While it also helps immersion to add gore effects like such, it also ruins it when you respawn moments after dying with all limbs intact. |
