BC was by far the best expansion.  Beautiful zones  Challenging dungeons, TEN levels and a ton of stuff to do besides grind dailies.  No lfd/lfr and no CRZ.  And a real talent system.  Anyone who thinks otherwise needs their head examined.  And there were two new classes - the paladin and shaman.  It's not opinion.  It's fact.  WoW has been declining ever since.   And MoP looks to continue in that direction.  It's sad, really.

Wrath of the Lich King was indeed the worst. We got a rehashed Nax and were stuck with that for MONTHS before any new content. This expansion also added the looking for group tool, which while extremely convenient, was the catalyst that caused much of the community to become uninvested douchenozzles with no fear of reprecussions.

Burning Crusade was absolutely the best, mainly because of Karazhan, arguably the best raid Blizzard has been able to generate. Beyond that, the raid content in comparison to vanilla, and in fact all other subsequent expansions, was extremely high quality. Many of us will never forget the intensely complicated fights such as Kael'Thas and "Hot Potato" Lady Vashj.

Cataclysm made for a great leveling experience, but raids, at least initially, were a bit too challenging for too long and caused many players to quit due to an inability to progress or guilds to fall apart because of the intense focus required to down the initially un-nerfed bosses.

Vanilla was extremely buggy and grindy for far too long.

Who is this writer?  There were some very awkwardly phrased sentences in this review. I'm beginning to lose confidence in this site's integrity. No sooner do I start to trust a reviewer or columnist then they are gone with the wind, never mentioned again. Then some new unknown writer with questionable credentials shows up for a couple of weeks and is gone just as soon. Who are these people?

Considering this probably passed through a copy editor and maybe even a managing editor, I am sure this article was in far worse shape to begin with.

I do agree that some of these sentences are not ordered correctly and do no have a nice grammatical flow. As someone who has copy edited hundreds upon hundreds of articles I can say that these are issues I would personally correct when editing, but depending on the sites style and editing policy, as well as their workload, sometimes such sweeping changes are not feasible.

Combine this with the fact that it is likely difficult to get people to devote time to a game like this, especially with GW2 out, and here we are.

You do get compensated, with their microtransaction currency. Did you miss that?
