1st Target wont accept returns of opened games.

2nd bioware failed in putting bad codes, or no codes in some cases, on the shelves.

3rd Bioware has a horrible CS, they have one way to contact them in real time. By phone. Still holding.

4th No I am not some dumbass who doesnt know what code I am putting in.  {mod edit}

Oh and as for going digital...yeah probably should have, I just remember how long it took to download the beta client.

    So I bought 2 copies of SWTOR today from Target. Brand new, wrapped up boxes. Got home, installed & setup 1 account for me went smooth no problems, setup the other account, for my son, and it says the Product Reg key has already been used! And good luck trying to get hold of CS. I should have stuck by my gut and avoided this launch. You suck Bioware!

         Here's an idea. Why don't you quit hoping someone else will buy it for you and go out get a job, save some money up and buy it yourself.  If you can't afford it then you don't need it. That's life Jr. Now you can learn from this or go occupy something and whine some more.

Break the lore? If you think LA or Lucas himself cares anthing about the lore then obviously havent been keeping up with the Star Wars Universe. Lucas has the lore so chopped up now that it is getting hard to even recognize Star Wars! Sweet mercy man, there isn't a thing Lucas (or LA) has touched that hasnt in someway screwed up the core lore of Star Wars.

    As long as you don't post on the forums this doesn't effect you. How many of you use facebook or twitter, but let Blizz suggest this and you act like the world will crash around you. This is just more thing for all you WoW haters to cling to. Get your tin foil hats out boys and girls Blizzard is settiing up to control us all. Get off the forums and go read the real news you idiots, there are real issues to be concerned with, real invasions of our rights, real issues that need attention, bad things are happening out in the world, and you know what, Blizzard didn't cause any of them!

    Though I hate to post on subjects such as this I have little else to do this afternoon so here I go.

    The main problem with PVP is the lack of consequenses for your actions. In real life if you wack someone in the head with a hammer, you will become public enemy number 1. You will be hunted down and prosecuted. In game world all the  wanna be's, who arnt even able to walk the block with out getting winded, can become super killers with no worry that they will be thrown into a cell and quickly be made into someones toy. There need to be something in play that makes a person really think hard before commiting a in game murder, just as in real life, then we will see a balance I think.

  I finally quit when the game became more about the gear then the game. When your gear score determined what kind of player you were. Add that to many of the issues already voiced in this thread and the game was no longer enjoyable to the player who didnt want to spend all of their time just grinding or making sure their lives revolved around a guilds schedule. Worse thing that happend to WoW is it became popular.  I was their at launch, and yeah it wasnt perfect, but I would take it over what the game has become.

 I had played WoW since it hit the shelves, never had trouble. Three months after the battlenet switch my account got hacked. I think there is something going on there, to many people are having the same issues. And a complete system dump isnt always the best answer for most people who actually use computers for other things. My system is secure, and I hadnt logged in to my account in 3 weeks, I dont think this is a user end issue. Blizzard needs to look into what is going on.

 Just for the record SOE didnt invent the zombies, they took it from the EU.  And there is no concerted effort on SOE's part to put 'come back to the game posts' here so take off the tin foil hat Burntvet, no black stormtrooper choppers coming for you today.

 At any rate I didnt want this to turn into a SOE slam fest. I was just hoping to suck a few RP'ers into the game to make it more interesting for the time it has left. Once Old Republic goes live I wont be in the game, nor would i spend money if i were a new player and buy the game.

 So for the rest of the thread, if your a disgruntled old player, I feel your pain and I know where your coming from, but there is no reason to post it here anymore. But if your a Star Wars fan, if you have the game sitting around, and you wouldnt mind hanging out in the Cantina and then shooting up some Ties, then give the game a try. If your not in that category, what joy do you get in posting the same things said for the past 5 years over and over again. Just move along let the thread run its course and go about your way, obviously these arnt the droids your looking for.

Dude chill out. I was playing the game shortly after it came off the shelves so I have been there, but I haven't played SWG in a few years. SWG isnt what it used to be but it is on par with other options. But that is my opinion, expressed for those who might want to try the game again and that is the reason for this thread. Try not to take it so personel.

 I agree, the Jedi class becoming a starting class was out of line. A lot of things SOE did were out of line and way off of canon. I know Star Wars, trust me, and the game is a bit off. But people say the same thing about WoW, STO and other games that try to create off of an established work. Go and re-read Star Wars books published before Epsiode 1-3 were released, alot of the material is no longer valid based on what we now know.  It happens. If it was ok for people to be able to unlock jedi through grind what is the difference in haveing them as starters. the game has it problems to be sure, but name one that doesn't.

 My point is that I hated SOE for what they did to us also, but i like Star Wars, and others out there are like me may be on the fence about the game. And as for this game being on its death bed, we have all been saying that for years and despite it all this game is not dead, mabey that should tell us something. Will Old Republic kill it? Mabey. But that is still at least a year away.  Leave the baggage behind you and try the game with a fresh and open mind. I have played 95% of every MMO out there and this game is no longer the rotten apple in the barrel.

However, this is my opinion, and for some this game will never be, but those on the fence...you never know.

 Ok I will admit I never thought I would say it, but after coming back and playing SWG for about a month I must say I am loving it. Is it what it was when the game launched? Sadly no. But neither is any other game out there. I have found in SWG I can actually RP, I can live in a universe, visit planets, fly ships. In short I can do the same things I did 5 or so years ago when I first started up. So why do we hate this game? Because they jerked our chain by pulling that CU crap and taking away the freedom and joy we had prior to the NGE? I was pissed then also, but it is time to move on. SWG offers more freedom, more "sandbox" then any other game out there if you allow it. I ignore the PvP crowd, I do the quests and meet the people who are in the game because they enjoy Star Wars, not just cool gear. What I am saying is forget what you have heard, forget the past and give the game a try. It looks like a whole year till Knights of the Rep hits the shelves. SWG has potential, it just needs the player base to come back and give rise to a community of dedicated fans. Well that is my view at least.  OP must not be playing the same game as I if he isnt experienceing any bugs. With that said I think the game has some potential, but I thought the same thing about POTBS, a very similar style game as STO. But to say this is the best ever? Not by a long shot. And for those not playing the game, LT 3rd rank (OP states this is where he is in the game) occurs very early into the game. So once more we see a user's thoughts on a game (good or bad) before any logical or well thought out arguement can honestly be established.

 I have yet to see a Lego theme game fail, so I think this game will do good. Perhaps this will finally be the WoW killer all you trolls have been hoping for. I actually look forward to playing this game with my kids and I expect it will have a more mature audience then any of the MMO's I have played recently.

 Yet another "my life sucks so I think I will bitch" post. Dragon age isnt an MMORPG, it isnt a precursor to Old Republic. Not even sure why we are talking about it here. It isnt even geared to the same twitchy crowd. There is a reason Bioware decided to return to their roots and do a nice indepth RPG game, because they have always worked well for them and people enjoy them. The game as gone super smooth, no problems. OP needs to get a life.

I think this is step one in Blizzards plan to make this game F2P with a cash store option for better gear. There is no point in keeping WoW running when they release their new MMO. Plus WoW has had a good run and the expansions arnt so much as reviving the game at this point, but are simply breathing life into it to keep it alive a for as long as they can.

Makes a person wonder if the cake will suck as bad as the game.

Most boring- Eve followed by PotBS.

Most fun- Pre-CU SWG followed closely by WoW
