OK I will check it out and see.

Wow... the same old stuff over and over again with a new name. This so called new MMORPG looks awful, no dedication to the art of development what so ever. This game look like it was made with in a few months. This angers me because I come here everyday to hope for something good and we get this cash item bull crap! or web browser games that are garbage. I am sick of this so called free to play money draining mess its its like a damn virus. Where are our true game developers? are they in another country like South Korea or Japan helping them make great MMORPG? look at C9 online, Tera, Blade & soul even there f2p MMO are better but they send us the gimps.

Comon seriously do they ever stop making mmos lol i mean some are great but there are about 30 that all look the same eg. this looks exactly like silkroad so wtf please they need to try some new icons and models seriously.

SUN is nothing like SRO not even close. SUN got a good story, good game play and no grind. The models are well done dude, what are you talking about?  looks nothing like the toons on SRO mess.

In my opinion the cause of the recent drought in MMOs is due in large part to the promise of millions of subscribers and making enough money per month to buy your own island in the sun. After seeing what WoW could do, everyone thought to themselves that they wanted to be next in line to be swimming in money. This led to all the unimagined games that feel so much like WoW but can never deliver the polish or content because of how long WoW has been going.

All the MMOs the people talk about loving so much, like EQ, DAoC, UO, and SWG pre-NGE were all made, I feel, out of a real desire to make a fun game for a tight knit community. These new games all try to target everyone, and in doing so impress no one. I think soon the developers are going to realize that WoW was a one-off success and will hopefully get back to making games for one community or another, not trying to blend all the things different people want into one game.

Like Runes of Magic. They wanted to have everything for everyone but didn't do all that great with that idea. Like you said, they need to make a good amount of MMORPG  fitting for the gaming community, not trying to cramp everything in one.  WoW still don't have housing but people still enjoy playing it, they just need to listen to us and stop trying to KILL WoW.  Korea MMORPG is doing what we should be doing and I am not talking about the F2P ones here.

Because I really wish I could understand what you're saying.

You really don't understand?

I don't understand the point you're trying to make. I'd love to discuss it with you, but please clarify it first. I have a feeling it has to do with lackluster MMO releases recently, and the dominance of the asian market.

Yes.

That opened yourself to more grammar attacks... and caps. Just take it easy.

Anyway we should unleash a UO2 worthy of the UO name and dominate the world... hell, it's about time, and it's not SC2. /dream

There are many western decent titles, you just shouldn't play these F2P 10 year-old korean games that get some american servers (with support way inferior to their korean versions) and they go all "NEW BESTEST MMO released... play free!" ("bestest" is on purpose, though the English used in the game translation may be poor) if you dislike them, although that will probably take out the majority of the F2Ps out of the potential games list for you. Quality > Quantity anyway, plus if you wish to be good in a MMO you can't really take more than 2 at a time unless you play 8+ hours a day... these are time consuming hogs.

If they keep doing it... that's because both American publishers and Korean developers are getting profit from it.

Thank you. Now why most of the members here really don't give a crap on what is going on? I made this thread for us to talk about this stuff and I get bs from most of them. It is like what I type made them mad or something. Sorry for the caps but that is what people do when they are angry and I had a reason to be.

Wow I  get the /thread... that is very wrong but why ? I don't want to feel like this place is a joke for any type of MMORPG discussion.

We are really slacking on making MMORPG here in our home of the USA, like we are getting really put back by all the over sea MMORPG coming out by the day that we all actually play, and damn near all of them are boring so-called F2P that we all kind of like flock to because of our lack MMORPG here. But hold on, we also see new MMORPG out in Korea that is actually better than our own here like C9, S.U.N, B&S, and TERA that we are banned from even trying to play... that angers me because here we do not have all them damn IP blocks, we actually like to share our games "from what I have seen I may be wrong"  we are getting owned in MMORPG Development and need to amp it up, it is to the point Korean MMORPG company's and other east MMORPG are laughing at our games! This is how I feel about what is going on, these are my thoughts. Here is a list of things on my mind.

1. Yes we got AION here but is it the real one?
2. Yes we got S.U.N but we all know it is not a complete version, like a bootleg copy!
3. All the other crappy f2p games that we actually play is just money in the east pocket.
4. The really good "EPIC" like MMORPG is just there for us to see but cannot play.
5. We are not aloud to play their games, even if we understand Korean.
6. They can play our games even if they don't speak English.
7. WoW is the big dog over here but over there it is really... LOW! and it was once a Korean game "told by a Korean friend on PS3net"

8. WE are being lazy to the point we just pay for copy's of their MMORPG instead of making our own.

From ricefarmer

koreans are leading the mmo industry, they are now in real time combat while western mmo still look ugly ass fuck and ugly ass combat.. I dont? give a dam what bioware is doing, all of them fail!

From tokencuzcrip

These are the next Gen MMO games from Korea that will make our MMO look like Walt Disney movie production made. Although Walt Disney with it's respective name have nothing to do with this. All I'm saying is that this is the real deal a consumer can get their? hands on from famous Korean game developers from the East. I'm just sad that America is so caught up with foriegn games. Where are the Americans in the gaming industry? We need more American wooting for home games. Not foreign games.

Many more all over the web.

WE all need to get into game development and bring it! I am working on my KEY as of now. Our Ideas be hitting the roof when we all be trying to help change a game but our idea just get  thrown away, so the only way to make our ideas happen we need to get into the DOOR!.

We are really slacking on making MMORPG here in our home of the USA and being flooded by F2P MMORPG while they keep the real deal.

Yeah being killed with a clean name by someone  with dirty name should not make you drop your goods, only they should drop there items if killed. It is kinda backwards cause when I kill the bad names they drop jack sht.

Need to try it before saying it's not a grind, ether saga is quest based also and dungeons mobs give crap exp so it's not worth fighting them unless you have quests. The more you leveled the longer it took you to level (of course but wait for what I'm gonna say)

There were events weekly to boost you exp and dailies which is something that I liked (apart of invasion event that starts at 1 am at my time and ends at 2 am) but once I reached my 40s in the game events always give you less exp after every level till a certain point that is useless doing them anymore (getting 3% exp from an event it's not worth it imo)

So my only way on leveling was getting quests and do them (there's a hell lot of quests) many kill 50 of x mob there were even higher ones I think and when you went to finish quest you would get like 5% of exp and to add to it mobs exp suck.

So I got bored trying to level and eventually stopped playing it.

What the hell are you talking about? you must be playing a different game man. There is no kill 50 mobs or higher O.o and the quest xp is worth the time spent. In S.U.N you level good by doing the quest with an actual small script of a story, each quest ends with you having to killed a leader or captain. The game is fun and have a good in game community with a few jackasses. The community on the forums of ijji need some serious help.  This is by far the best korean MMO out even thou we get the half stick of the US version.

I was talking about ether saga online a f2p mmorpg that is quest based haven't tried sun yet.

ROFL ok... um LOL... hey man its all good.  I was like... what the hell??? I kind figure you was speaking a different game but I wanted to put my info on SUN out. It is a good  MMO man but IjjI is kinda wrong, its like they don't know what to do when it come to fixing bugs and stuff. Cant play Webzen version.

have you even read up on my other post about SUN? I don't need to try it.

LOL, Yes there are doors you must interact with to open them, there are traps as well as trap doors you must interact with to move on. SUN is good not great but just good, it is quest driven to the fullest no grind!!. The best asian MMO out but have not made shine yet in scores here. New update on the way with new class levels and skills + content to help you all the way to level 120, max level as of now is 70, content stops around level 58-59 so from there you must repeat "NOT GRIND" just repeat boss missions to lvl 70.

Don't forget about the reward system in the AC menu, that is something to work on for sure. and yeah... the dam casters just blow there way out of anything, kill very fast, it is insane to see with my slow bazerker. The open world in this game has no pvp truth. It is PK that equal to murder and killers get punish harshly as a reward, it is your own choice.

LOL Webzen sent our asses to the ijji "Reactor"

Yup no grind what so ever. The item shop don't have to be use as well, its all up to  you. Starting to get hard as hell right now, now that i am level 52 and harder to group, cost a lot of helm "gold" to +gear now so...yeah SUN is bringing the heat at 50+

Update: Level 50.

Level 50 now and boy this is where it gets harder. I have 2 mission bosses to kill and the mission maps are so huge and hard as hell because traps and ambush. Trying to get team for these boss mission is very hard to do, its not like before when I was doing boss missions from the start when teaming was cake. At this point now it is time to +up your gear and get ready to blast your way to the max level of 70.

I could hit 50 right now if I want to but it is time for a break. SUN gets hard around lvl 32+ and harder for most classes. The game gets packed with mobs, so many mobs players most of time just aggro everything by running to there location, takes hours to killed them all at each turn you take . SUN is still good so far if you ignore the small bug/glitches.

10/25/09 Level 42

Down to my last reset LOL..... Leveling up your char stats can be confusing as hell and all the other stuff like leveling up your actual class, I could not figure how to become a Berserk or a Defender. Gear that require the right stats to use is kinda tricky as well so be careful.

Crafting is weird, it is kinda scary to look at so I will wait till I am lvl 65 to test. No info  about crafting, no hints, no guide it is kinda just thrown at you. The quest system is deep and long very long at some points but the xp is very rewarding. Once you hit lvl 20 you will hit level 30 in 1 hour by doing the flooding quest that actually have a story. A lot times you will get on full teams,  when it is time to do boss quest, very short wait time. The rest of the game can be soloed but you would run into people asking to join you at some areas.

Player killing is not really a problem yet, after playing for hours I have only been killed once by being afk. The dude ask did I have any class gear to trade him, I did not answer him so he killed me. Other than that a lot of players seem friendly even with blood shot red names.

And the last thing, The User interface not being friendly to the players that like to move things around to see better is a pain in the ass and it is clunky, crowding and awkward " FIX IT!!"
