There was once a pokemon MMO but it seems to have disappeared even though they had tons of players. |

"alot of people tend to forget that the main reason that alot of the popultaion is gone is bacause alot of the gold framers have left." I can tell you this: There may have been many gold farmers, but I doubt 140,000 were on every day. I know this because all but 17 of my friends have quit. They are all over level 90 so the only ones left on my list are a couple of lvl 20-60's and only one lvl 97. He is planning to quit next month. I had 200 friends, and after the update, 17. I was formerly a Runescape Player Moderator, and was kicked out due to these bogus reports. I report everyone that was a macro to this day, so I can assure you, my other 183 friends were not macros.

I have 8.1 black marks on my account. The problem is, none of them were even logical, never mind the fact they weren't true. Let me give an example: I was talking to someone. I asked what country he lived in, and he responded: Russia, then reported me. Mmkay, yes, I'm going to search through the largest country in the world and find him and stalk him. Very logical. I would probably die from old age before I found him. My appeal was denied. So my question is: Is Jagex trying to kill their game and company on purpose? They have been making the crappiest updates and banning everyone they get a report on. Their average number of players has been cut from 300,000 to 160,000. way to go Jagex, you've effectively cut your population in half. That's a loss of... oh... somewhere around... 5 million dollars a month? Aka 60 million a year! Ownd.
Edit: For those of you that wish to disprove my math, My calculation is this: Jagex stated they have 1,000,000 member accounts. Assuming half quit, 500,000x5 dollars a month is 2.5 million dollars. That leaves us with the approximately 5 million non-member accounts. assuming they make 50¢ per player, from ad revenue, that's another 2.5 million dollars a month. Though the price of members is stable, this works. But the ad revenue is based on the number of clicks on an ad and is also limited to a certain IP to prevent click bombing to gain more revenue. In addition, there's an unknown amount of stable pay to Jagex for the people that don't click the ad, but the ad still is viewed, so they are paid for just that. This makes ad revenue more unstable, so my calculation could be very far off in this case. Then again, maybe not. ----- If you're going to ban every player that appeals, why allow them to appeal at all? -----

"How many high levels do you see wearing chainmail?" The only dragon body armor is chainmail, stupid.

I don't understand... What does the Wilderness and Teleblocking have to do with high alching?
And no, merchanting is not totally dead, although much harder and more risky. If you can anticipate the prices of an item you can make money. The only problem with this method is if you're wrong, you can make a big loss.
I have come to the conclusion that Jagex's formula for all the prices in runescape is based on the Grand Exchange - If there is alot of an item in the exchange, with few buyers, the price goes down. In contrast, if there is more buyers than sellers, the price goes up.
The only problem I can see with this is if somebody buys up all of a certain item, than they can swing the market price o.O

My name is a RuneScape account name, my account. I am level 112, and have been playing for a while. After the grand exchange came out, I dropped from playing once every 2-3 days to nearly once every 2 weeks. Now that they have announced that they wish for their game to die, I have finally had enough. I don't care that I'm basically loved by other players, I am rich, have decent stats and would have to start over at another game. Doesn't matter to me any more. I have come to MMORPG.com purely to find another game. And in response to has anyone ever rioted? who cares, rioting won't make any difference. Jagex is a company and we are it's clients as players. if they choose to shaft us, that's what they'll do and theres nothing we can do about it. ~Simi~ |
