Before I start this, I want to say Im not pointing at anyone in particular, this is just a general thought and amused opinion.
For a very long time now Ive been thoroughly amused by "men" and their rampant sexual insecurity. And then along comes HKO, and its like a wildfire in California. Comments everywhere about how guys wont play this because if their friends found them playing it, they would have their "man card" taken away. Wtf? Who uses that term anyway? Thats like my dad talking about "this mans army". lol Seriously, what is it about this IP that threatens your sexuality? It's like "manly men" being confronted with Ru Paul or something. xD Hello Kitty is a girly thing, so what? God isnt going to come down to earth and bitch-slap you for being a closet gay... pink isnt a sin, and liking something cute doesnt mean youre going to... well I'll keep that PG and not finish that thought. hehe.
Also, why isnt this game linked yet in the forums list? >.< |

Obviously because warcraft is not filling that void that HKO is apparently filling for the players. That and Hello Kitty owns everyones souls since childhood. xD |

Finally an answer to our prayers....

Yeah the first time I needed help in VG I Had someone party me right out of the blue and help out, everytime I had a question to ask, there was 3 or 4 people responding. I had someone help me out with Diplomacy, and then he sent me 5 really nice cards! Small server sizes arent good for business, but they sure do make for a good tight-knight community in game. :D |

Actually, even letting family members play your account is considered a bannable offense according to the terms of service (Blizzard even explicity states, for example, you can't let your childern create alts on your account - you're supposed get them their own). Of course people do it all the time. However, I know people that were banned because they shared an account. When one of them moved across county and they continued to switch off - Blizzard flagged them for repeatedly logging on from different parts of the country (it's pretty obvious that somebody isn't flying back and forth between the East and West Coast several times a day).
Blizzard is only hurting themselves when they expect a family to pay for several accounts. Why would I pay 45$ a month to play thier came for 3 people if one account would work just as well? If they ban us, then they must not want my business too badly... |

All I want to know is how they knew someone else was playing it... just because the person had a different IP addy? Well that doesnt mean diddly. You could have been playing from a friends house, or playing in a hotel room, or have even moved! The person didnt sound the same in chats? Hardly since how would the GMs know? Unless the persons in-game friends could tell the difference and reported the guy for hacking... maybe the OP posted on the forums that he used it? Im not defending the use of p-leveling services or anything of that nature, was just curious how Blizzard could know to ban if someone else was playing his account. So if a girlfriend of mine hopped on the game at my house, then Blizzard some how magically knows its not me? O.o?? But then again Blizzard is creating its own problems by making the game grindy... I had often wished I could get someone else to level up my character past the slow-spots in the game. Especially 55-60. Yeesh... and then 65-70. lol 68-70 was the worst spot in the game... I think we can also help out the devs and gms by ganking the gold sellers and bots. :3 |

Oooooooh... I didnt know about that, thanks! ^.^

Ok, everytime I see this mentioned, I get fanboys screaming like schoolgirls that it will be awesome, it will be great, and it will rock. lol But why? Whats in it that its going to be so freaking cool it will rock your grandma's socks? xD |

Diplomacy is both frustrating and fun at the same time. If youre not careful, you can find yourself playing the game the whole night and not get anything else done. lol Also, when you first start out, it sucks as your opponents will have a better deck than you. And you only have 5 slots for cards. |

That depends on your expectations. If you want raiding or want to do tons of instances, good luck. I doubt they are thay low on people that you couldnt get an instance done though. Im not a raider, so that doesnt affect me. |

A bit of history first. I loved the idea of this game back before it came out, I followed it closely. I wasnt hyped about it or anything, wasnt a fangirl. My comp wasnt spectacular like it is now, but it did its job well enough. So when I spent the 40$ on it and got it installed. I was hugely disappointed that the game was flawed, didnt run, crashed and was full of bugs and lagged so bad it wasnt even playable. To this day Vanguard was the only game I regretted wasting 40$ on, and wished I could have the money back.
Until recently...
I got a better comp put together, and whatever SOE did to Vanguard, they did well. It runs! its fun! Its actually quite pretty once you can take the settings off of "amorphous blob" lol. Crafting blows EQ2's crafting out of the water, I liked EQ2's crafting and until this I thought it was the best, EQ2's crafting always made me sleepy... this is more interactive, youre not just spamming buttons. Although Im not sure I how I made wood with just solvent. hehe Bards in this game are awesome! The singing spells are composable, and the attack animations are pretty cool. I'm loving my wood elf bard. Low server populations mean not much lag, GMs arent harried to get everyone answered, obnoxious trolls arent lurking everywhere. Im sure there are some there still, but they arent as noticeable (yet).
My few complaints are: Theres no dressing room, theres no maps for the towns, and Caial Brael makes the Undercity and Kelethin look like a walk in the park.... I NEED a map! lol I also wish I could make my elf's face not look like it was hit with an ugly-stick. She's cute, but she looks a bit inbred. >.>
If Vanguard had been released in the condition it is now, and my comp had been able to play it, I would have never left the game. It's just that good.
And that's my new opinion of Vanguard. ^.^ |

Im interested in this game all of a sudden.

I admit, the first time I looked at Warhammer screenies I thought they looked similar to Warcrack too. Mainly because the graphics were simplified for beta-testing... and then the more I looked at movies and stuff the less it looks like Warcrack in art-style. |
