Oh, and EnB still kicks ass, even with the old graphics. If you don't believe me go play it yourselfs.

First i would have to say Earth & Beyond, damn that was a good game. Thank god the emulator is almost 100% up and running...

Second i would say Tabula Rasa because it had a kick ass combat system. A few tweaks here and there and that game would beat the crap out of almost any game out there... Oh well

Yesterday I installed and started playing Requiem and although it is probably early to review it here go what I thought about it:
The game was recommended by a friend of mine a few months ago but only I could only try it now.

The graphical aspect of the game is pretty good although a bit dated; it still uses volumetric shadows so I recommend you just turn the shadows off. The rest of the game is graphically pretty good and the players characters are very well designed and rendered and so are the weapons, very impressive. The game is definitely still a eye candy. The Ragdoll effect that you get from the Havoc engine when you kill a mob is just awesome, really gets you in the mood to go kill some more and the gore… oh the gore… probably what I liked most about the game was the gore, I’ve played MMORPG for 10 years now and I never found one with this level of gore… I’m not just talking about the blood (which is already a big “OH YEAH”) but the fact that you can literally cut the mobs into pieces.
The biggest problems I can find with this game are the badly designed quests with little or no lore and plenty of “go there and kill this” quests and the excessive lag the game has, I don’t know where the servers are located but I am from Portugal and I can tell you it lags a lot which is a pity and takes off some of the emotions of the game because you are unable to execute the special moves on time. It takes a few seconds after clicking the icon to the executions of the move and that breaks a little of the momentum you get when you’re fighting a mob.

Overall this game is a real keeper and one of the best free games I ever seen. If in the future the lag is resolved and the game is pushed up at least to use a good pixel shader for the shadows then it will become a great game. If the game was launched a few years before it would be up there against AoC/LotRO/WAR/WOW

Don’t take my word for it, try it out, after all… its free!!

I played EU from the beginning and I agree the game was much better before... Although I usually pass several months without logging in to the game I was able to duplicate the money I have put in it (I wasted 20$ on the game (200 PED) and now I have more than 500 PED in my game account) and that proves that you CAN make money from it although if you play like I do you will probably die of old age before you get rich with it.

Even so, the game is still fun and I still play it whenever I need to relax a bit from normal day to day stuff.
EU will die soon though if they don't improve the game, it's graphics engine is really old and I doubt it is attracting any new players and the amount of time and patience required for you to evolve you char past the "newbie" point is so extreme that it makes the game unplayable to anyone used to the normal hack & slash games.

P.S- What is this about AfterWorld?? How come I haven't heard of this game before and why is it not in the MMORPG.COM game list??? Definitely gonna try it out!

I decided to try it and all i can say is that it kicks ass and could teach somethings to other MMORPG's out there.

It may not have the graphics of EVE but in terms of content, replayability and community it is one of the best space-sims around right now.

You should try it!

I am really having fun with this game.

I was sick of fantasy games already and this game is really good. It has bugs and some problems, it could use a forum and perhaps more replies from the dev and community crew but the fact is i log in to the game and have a lot of fun blowing trax around.

The quests are very good and "in game".

I am currently on the first month "free one" but i am really thinking on paying up and killing on.
