Fucking stupid.

Read three posts up from yours.  Or the original article.  Either one.  You're making a hugely mistaken assumption here.  :)  (Well, along with the 'GW2 fans are ex-Aion fans' assumption, but that's so hilarious, I'll allow it. :) )

My point is not that GW2 fans are Aion fans, my point is that MMORPG.com forum users have tendencies to hype any game which has a cool feature list and a nice trailer.

And usually, the game is either okay or a huge dissapointment.

So you guise are going to hype GW2 just as much as you hyped Aion?

I hate world of warcraft.

And I have to write about it on this forum.

Damn I have a life now, achievement unlocked guys.

Pandas?

This isn't a joke?

lol I swear I'm not being sarcastic or snarky... I'm just wondering how we go from Cataclysms... to Kung Fu Pandas...

The Pandaren race comes way back from Warcraft 3.

Grind is a part of all Final Fantasy games, it that does not fit you, go and play your precious world of warcraft.

An MMORPG that is all about sodomi! Brilliant!

Last Chaos.

So, why would a Darkfall fanboy quit his subscription for a subscription to Xsyon?

In a Real Sandbox only players can kill you(perma-death), they will have to hunt you down and take everything back that you stole and take your life as you took another.

You don't understand that this is what a real sandbox players wants to have.

I'm not sure that wanting limitless griefing is the way you can identify a sandbox player.  :D  Might be a bit hard to prove that's the case...

In a real sandbox there is no real limit to griefing, maybe some kind of bank that can't be robbed but otherwise it's not a real sandbox.

Let's take Minecraft for instance. I never played it but I hear a lot of my friends  every day saying OMG SOMEONE GAME IN OUR SERVER AND GRIEFED ALL OF OUR STUFF.

UGH! this game took me over 17 HOURS TO DOWNLOAD! It is very SLOW. The website doesnt tell what the attributes mean. I had to press HARD on the left click button to click, "Confirm, Exit, Settings, ect". And my GPU didn't meet the requirements. Great. That made the graphics and everything look ugly. I had such a hard time with the account making, logging in is not supposed to be that difficult! It would not log me into the forums at all, and no one could help. Oh my...I have wasted so much TIME, EFFORT, ENERGY, SPACE, and I lost sleep for this horrible game. The only good thing about it, and the only I enjoy  A LOT about this is the Podcast. I love it a lot. I will still listen to every single Podcast he does. ("He" is Swag, the Community Manager). So I will try to find a new MMORPG that is not so complex. Preferably with a Podcast, Forum, fast, and fast download. Most likely, most MMORPGs will have a forum on their offical site.

My rating for RoM is a 1 out of 5. It scored 1 star only for the Podcast.

Worst MMORPG I ever played.

It's funny how you rated your computer and not the game. Do you know what? All of the things you complained about is not in any way related to the game itself.

This is my contribution to this thread.

This is a terrible WoW copy with extremely little content.

Dual class is of course arguably good and bad at the same time but it is the only thing that is good with the game, but there is a problem with this too, the content lack is making you level your second class in the same content as you just did with your main class.

Graphic is terrible, skill set is terrible and a big part of the community is terrible.

as with 90% of all f2p games.

There is no game out at this moment that beats World of Warcraft in its own field.

Wrath or the Lich king just destroyed WoW, TBC was the best expansion and it still is.

However, cataclysm is way up there as well.

The graphic card is everything in gaming, the CPU doesn't change a lot is long as you have a decent dualcore (a seriously bad one will of course change this fact).

Buy an ATI HD 6000 series, preferably 6800+ and you can run this game on high.

I run an 4870 and I can play on ultra with minor issues, so I play on high and I get no stuttering ever.

200$ or something like that

IT'S WORTH IT!

I love games where you fight crowds of monsters at the same time, there are aoe skills and non aoe skills for all classes. The game does not have to have classes, but I don't care about that too much. You run pretty fast and the downtime is very low. There must be quests or some kind of objective that doesn't consist of purely killing monsters. I love when you can upgrade gear and I also love the fact that something is OP for every type of character gear wise. I love to farm bosses and if there is an option for PvP I consider that to be a plus, I love PK but it is not a must. I played MU online which has the combat and PvP, but there are without joking, 10 quests in the entire game. You have to be high level or farm a lot to actually gain something from the game events, as they are expensive to participate in. I don't care at which rate you level up, as long as it doesn't kill the game and I can participate in boss killing and other fun things(not limited to higher levels). If some content is locked until higher levels it doesn't matter (just a plus).

I know that this does describe Diablo a lot :P

It's a plus if it's top view or 2D platform, but 3D is fine as long as it doesn't ruin anything.

IT MUST HAVE AN OPEN WORLD AND A MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER ONLINE GAME!

I believe we can think a bit more outisde of the box.

If there is a quest line that one "has to do" then that is not a sandbox. if there are quest lines that are optional and players can pick and choose whether they want to experience some story or just go out and experience the world then that is a good sandbox.

Remember, allowing players to pick and choose their game play and direction is a good thing. It goes back to the idea of "toys in that sandbox".

I don't recall people going up to kids in their sandboxes and yelling at them for using the starfish mold over scultpting it with their own hands?

I think people are using this free form definition a bit too rigidly.

But if the majority of the games content are quest lines that you do for exp and gold, sure you can grind if you want to!

But this doesn't make it a sandbox.
