after i played zelda phantom hour glass and megaman battle network, i find mmo's kinda the same- all u do is grind. quests r grind. all u do is pointless clicking - ur character and mobs taking turns to hit each other.. BORING

now dont hate on me, i dont mean all mmo's, i kinda like the mmo runescape and dungeon and dragon cuz the quests are require more thinking.

After playing many mmo im starting to get the sense that all (or i should say a lot) of mmo are just the same! 
 

-Quests that tells you to kill stuff and collect stuff with not a great plot...the quests are starting to look the same

-grinding for hours to level

-jobs like warrior, ranger, mage, theif..or why cant it just be all one character? or maybe something where everyone r not warriors

The ONLY games i find quite unique, at the moment, are Runescape (where quests are actually FUN to do...not just replicas) , DDO and a lot of FPS games (at least is is different than point and kill)

MMOs (execept P2P MMOs..since i never tried it)  are just characters standing on a flat map and taking turns hitting each other with no reaction...im starting to notice the same

--ALL F2P MMOs dont seem to grab my attention since the features are nothing NEW.--

is there a MMO that is not a replica? i dont care if it is free to play/pay to play. i just dont want paying for a game for the SAME game that is free. :)

Runescape is one of those games i've played and wont ever forget! the adventures r more than other games! it makes this game very unique! NO installation required means you could play this game almost on any computer- rather at school, libeary, home, office- it is has amazing graphics for a game that dont required download. Quests r all fun that required a little thinking rather than time spend on the game. THIS GAME IS MORE THAN COMBAT!!!! mining, fishing, woodcutting, cooking, hunting, and a loooooot more! you dont have to select a profession/job at the beginning, just create a character and play freely!
The down fall to this game is that Jagex, the creator of runescape, took over the economy. Thus, you cant trade "freely". You had to mouse click to walk (if that is a downfall). Well...cant say all of it until you try the game!

u should try Jade Dynasty! there are legal bots and super easy to level. and quick!

It will be finished in august. The game is fun as hell. They don't level you like most games though, You gain Ranks... there are like 4-5 ranks you have to go through (your exp bar has to fill up that many times...) and then you can go to your class trainer and level up. I honestly have found myself worrying about my level very much because all of the action, and you can redo any dungeon you'd like. You can also (depending on connection) start playing in about 15-30 minutes. Graphics won't be great until you get downloading the full game because its a tiered download.

Also their cash shop looks to me like it will be very fair for the game. You can't buy any of the best weapons. All those are in game. You can buy "Mission Packs" with X number of quests and dungeons for so many Turbine Points. All in all it has been a hoot playing it so far and I'm only like lvl 2 rk3. Just be patient and wait till august 6th. In the meantime though I guess I would suggest trying to play Jade Dynasty or Runes of Magic....

DDO isn't in beta - the Eberron one is. DDO: Stormreach just went free.

Others: Anarchy Online, Dungeon Runners (WoW clone that's fairly well done).  Check gameogre's free MMO list.

oohh really? cuz i just went to ddo.com and sign up. then i read a little more and it says beta :(

i had just quit maple story because it takes forever to level..it force me to do party quests over and over again. it is very very sick.

that is what makes runescape unique! it is not like some boring games with quests that tells u to kill monsters and collect from their drops! the game is not all about killing mobs! there are much much more to do than kill mobs, and to tell the truth, I HATE doing the same thing over and over again-like maple story PQ or killing mobs. i love the way that runescape have other levels instead of combat. i also hated the trade update =.= . so im looking for a game that is like runescape now...

good things about rs

1. it is web browser

2.constant update, as in more than monthly

3.unlike in many other mmos, you dont need to constantly spend money for clothing. just 6 bucks each month can buy u unlimited clothing (unless u ran out of money in the game). members also have a much better game play- clue scrolls, mini games, full screen mode, your own house to construct, more quests, never-before-seen monsters in free to play, bigger bank, a larger world to explore, pets and more!

4.quests arnt just "kill this, kill that" or "collect this, collect that" what is the difference with just killing mobs- all you get is a little more exp, but it is still boring to do the same thing again and again. instead, runescape's quest has a story line to it!

5.you can be a mage, archer, or warrior at the same time and change your race(or watever it is called), gender, skin color, default clothing, etc. now u dont need waste time creating millions of accounts to try different races

6.there are other skills to do and level in runescape instead of combat, for example: farming, cooking, fishing, mining, smithing, summoning, wood cutting, aglity, runecrafting, hunting, fishing, cooking and much much more.

7.most games usally offer less space for your items

8.i really like how the clothing in this game doesnt have striping clothing ;)

9.they have pretty good service. i know that they took away wild PVP and freedom of trade, but if they dont, then the gold farmers will use more stolden credit cards and will cause the game a 'you know what'. how do they have good service? well, when everyone tells them to do something about the bots, the did something. it killed a lot of botting. then people wanted pvp, then they made PVP worlds. finally, there are a lot of customer service. i would had asked a question yesterday, and it would be answer today or tomorrow (comparing to maple story, they take a week a 3 days to answer my question).

10.finally, the game is fun. why? because there are a lot more to do than killing monsters. with over 100,000 people playing each day, how would it be boring? the reason why i dont play games with less people is because there isnt anyone to talk to. bored of training? then play mini games. bored of mini games? then do quests. bored of doing quests? go PK. lost a PK (lol)? design your house or train other skills.
