Sub all the way baby. Bethesda is a big AAA company, and (afaik) is funding it in-house (meaning no venture capital guys to pay off in a quickie F2P scam). No cash shop, but if you must, keep the microtransactions to a minimum and only cosmetic (and also available with in-game money), and I'll start thinking better of Bethesda.

"Hater" is one of those words like "racist" and "date-rape"--words bandied about so much for the minorest of infractions that the words have lost all power. It's more like a personal prayer--it makes the guy saying it feel good, but it doesn't (or at least shouldn't if your head is screwed on right) phase the people it's lobbed at.

The ganker we love to hate has not updated his blog My Loot, Your Tears since October and pretty much lost interest in the game. Did he land on another game? Anyone know his whereabouts?

PoE is hyped #1 = proof of MMO stagnation

Yeah, when Call of Duty and Texas Hold 'em appear on the games list, then you can wet your panties about games not being mmorpg.

I found USB keyboard and mouse hooked right up and worked without a hitch, so that's nice. Not so nice is micromanaging 6.023x1023 skills and loadouts just to play an fps.

Obviously, more power to anyone who manages to enjoy this game. The beef was, and why it is a front-running candidate in 2012's most disappointing game, was all this boundary breaking and paradigm shifting it was supposed to do and didn't deliver.

To reiterate what I said earlier, while refunds can generally be done quickly, when we are talking about Paypal and credit cards, a dispute process can take thirty days, sometimes more. It seems he is due a refund assuming there are no other mitigating facts hiding in the bushes, so if he doesn't get it, then I will join in the boos at the devs. But as far as being banned, nope. A company has to do that because otherwise people would just enjoy services rent-free by abusing the dispute process.

Why do "some" people enjoy an MMO being shut down or doing badly?
