WoW: dumbed down the content a lot, made all the classes the same and raiding was borring. Also ruined world PVP with Battle grounds.

Lord of the rings: Got bored at end game though it was fun for a long time. Just decided to wait till the expansion came out.

Vanguard: I have yet to quit >: D its too much fun!

I just started playing Vanguard again recently and I have been having a blast. The sheer variety in classes and races can already give you a hint at the vastness of the game! 19 races each with their own unique lore that you learn throughout the game and then 13 unique classes.

I play a Gnome rogue and am only level 10 but I still see a good bit of people. The general chat is always buzzing with conversaton so I don't think this game is even close to being dead.

The devs are working very hard and they still believe in the original Vision of this game. Just because they added Rift Stones does not mean you HAVE to use them! They are there so newbies can get around from continent easily so they can GROUP. I do not think people want to wait an hour or so just to get together, some of us have real lives to tend to.

SOE is not dumbing this game down by any means, sure Sigil makes it a tad easier for newbies to group together but isn't that just good game design?

This game is wonderful and I suggest everyone to check out the free trial when they release it in August :D

SOE saved Vanguard and I do not care what you say Vanguard is a great game! They have yet to even really dumb it down so SOE can't be all that bad >>

Perhaps..but he put a lot of work into this game before they scrapped it and started over with what we have today. He worked on this game for..how long? 5 years? and after about 4 years of work he just threw it all away and started over. That is pretty crazy if you ask me.

I don't believe he made this game for pure profit...it just got a little messed up when they were remaking it..

Why did you find it to be nearly a "perfect" MMO? I am just curious. Also what is a perfect MMO? Does it mean it has a huge immersive world with plenty of dungeons and creatures to kill? Or does it mean that its very polished and high quality content? Or does it have amazing character customization, awesome graphics and crafting!

Because I know Tabula Rasa lacks a good bit in those departments. I enjoyed it for about a month but then I got bored because all you could do was..combat. There was very little variety in the content too, also there was a significant lack of content!

Good MMO..but perfect? Not by a long shot..

I was just claiming that your accusation that it take a long time to get to 20 is wrong because it does not take much time at all since they lowered how much XP is needed to level.  I was able to get some group son seradone at lower levels on my Dread Knight by joining a newbie guild. Perhaps you should do the same? Find a group of like minded individuals and you could group together at lower and higher levels : D

Not zoneless, you Hitch everytime you pass a zoneline. There is zones in Vanguard just u dont load u skip for 2 to 4 seconds as u pass a line.

1. ) Performance is improved but hitching is still there. Takes 5 - 10 seconds to i guess load your area becauase thats all i can think its doing to cause this. You Hitch all through town to a point where if ur not a vanboi your gonna hate it.

2. ) Just amount of things you can do. This game can still years from you, but it will be a lonely one most of the time. The pop is low and you will prolly need to be 15 to 20 + in levels before you even get to see a group. And that is a long road in Vanguard you level up so damn slow even with quests.

3. )....to be discovered.

All i can think anyone would want to know about a game is performance and game experiance.

The population isn't too low and you will probably see other plays and communicate with others from 1-20. Also, 1-20 isn't that long of a raid, they decreased the amount of XP needed to lvl sadly. Seems you need to get your facts straight.

Also Ships, flying mounts and none-instancing is a reason to play this game for many people. Sure there aren't any activiies that REQUIRE a boat but it is still loads of fun to gather a party and get on a boat to adventure new places! It adds to the experience!

2. 12 unique and fun calsses

3. Content! Diplomacy, adventuring and crafting! Also amazing crafting system!!!

Note: I hear endgame isn't too but replayability in this game is crazy because you outlevel a lot of the content so making an alt if very viable. Hell, People have told me they only leveled up 1-50 on ONE OF THE CONTINENTS (there is 3 in all) and never even saw the other 2 O.o. There is plenty of content for diplo, crafting and adventuring from 1-50 so that you could go through 3 times and still do all new dungeons, quests, areas..everything XD

But Silius ( the lead dev) said they are working on end game by adding Pantheon of Ancient ( new raid) and they plan on a whole new end game continent that focuses on using flying mounts and boats for transportation! That sounds fun > :D

station pass is a great thing and they games they offer are very good as well! Vanguard, EQ2, SWG and POTBS are all quality games....

Vanguard has none-instanced housing and you can decorate it anyway you want.

WoW has horrible PVP its not even balanced at all for PVP and when they TRY to balance for PVP they ruin PVE as well..

Try LOTRO if you want PVP they change monster classes to balance PVP not your PVE class.

If you are looking for a very none-instance oriented game that has a huge world then I suggest you check out Vanguard. There are plenty of nay-sayers out there but if you just wait till august then they are going to release the free trial: D Game has a lot to offer for PVE, has around 12 classes and plenty of dungeons that are surprisngly well designed. It probably has some of my favorite dungeons in any game. Very, very fun game. Also has little side things like DIplomacy and the crafting is fantastic if your into that sort of thing.

LOTRO is awesome as well, very well written, awesome graphics, fun classes...it has everything. Though most of the dungeons were only decent to me..with an exception to a couple.  Very fun game overall, played it since release and still having a ball!

World of Warcraft...ehh skip this one. I played it for 2 years (Donno how I lasted) but it went downhill drastically after BC....so yeah. skip/

From what I understand is that when they combined the servers RP went "underground" because there were people who didn't really enjoy it.

Now I dont really understand this much because the community in vanguard seems really fine and I do not see why RPers would have to go "underground" and only RP in guilds >>

In LOTRO Lots of people RP and lots of people don't...but they co-exsist and everyone is happy. Why can't they just do that in Vanguard? I really miss  just walking around and seeing people RPing everyone : [I want that experience in vanguard : [
