OK this game is offering nothing new to the MMO genre so lets put this one to bed with a lethal injection.

Theres nothign to do in the game, just press the same 3 or 4 buttons, theres not strategy, nothing.  Theres more strategy in a bad game lilke Dungeon Siege. 

The way the game plays now, is unplayable to me.

Could someone describe the combat in this game please. Is it shitty EQ / WOW style or more freeform like Darkfall / Mortal Online? If it is a button masher then I will forget this game. If you do not know how Darkfall and Mortal Online play then it is anything like Oblivion?

I am sure the new MMO by Blizzard will not be any ground breaking thing. They are into the money not making ground breaking ideas like Adventuring or Star Vault (Darkfall and Mortal Online).

I think it is time to give it up on this post, AoC will never really be anything because if you want real combat like this proposed you would be playing Darkfall or like me and waiting for Mortal Online. 

This is just another level based game with lovely graphics, button mashing semi (very semi) FPS combat and it adds nothing to the MMO field what so ever.

I think a lot of companies are planning XBox MMO releases inconjunction with a PC release. The stumbling block seems to be getting the PC and Xbox versions to match.

I have not heard of any MMOs specifically for the Xbox though. 

I would suggest that if your interested in this game that you buy it now. When RV2 is released the price will go up again. 

Can we get this thread removed? Marker is a highly unstable young man that after playing a game for over a year and getting banned because of his weirdess is using this site to bad mouth a game.

It is damaging to the game to keep untrue threads like this on this forum.

You guys that are playing this crack me up. Why would you play yet another shitty collect X of these, kill x amount of those. For god sake play something with a bit of orginality to it....

1. Remove the shitty combat

2. Add Darkfall style combat

3. change the level system to a skill based system.

Well it is more a bunch of men and women that used to play PlanetSide and are now looking for the next MMO. We think that we have found that in Darkfall.

Please drop by our forums and join in the chat regarding life and at present Darkfall. We are hoping to make a chaotic good clan and go raiding and one day set up our own town. 

I played in Beta and know a fair bit about how Darkfall works from that.

My question is has anyone been able to purchase the game today? I keep trying but to no avail. The main forum is down a statement and the account page just does not load.

I really hope there are more spaces available today.

Oh and what is with all these people trying to shoot this game down? What is there problem, I have not heard some much hate for ages. If any of the haters had actually tried beta then they would shut up as this is the best thing to happen to MMOs for years, many many years. There are post after post of teenage hate driven shite on these forums. Stop it. Actually no please continue as it might put people off and therefore allow myself and others to get in.

Avdenturine are completely new to this business and have made a completely revolutionary MMO. Good for them.

As a beta player it is really sad to know that I may not get to play this game for months until they release new servers.

But...

I think this shows how good the game actually is and how much people are hungry for this type of game.

People that are bashing the game know absolutely nothing, some of the posts on this forum are just pathetic hate driven nonsence.

I wish Adventurine could have made the game more widely available but I think after all these years of development they just needed to release. As I said I played in beta and know that this is best thing to happen to MMOs since PlanetSide. It puts a rocket up the ass of the old style EQ clones and hopefully will be the game that changes the way future MMOs are made.

It is just sad that myself and thousands and others can not play this into retail.
