Like the OP, i have many survivors and have seen every part of every map and have taken down every boss, that was until they sprung EotN on me, where i said "wow" what game need's to do this? people would have been fine ending with nightfalls, i was, it gets to be too much - i just.. gah.. i quit after eotn came out, but i reinstalled it today after a few months of lineage 2.. i cant bring myself to keep it on my computer, wasting space, i know if i ever go back on there is no new content, no amazing new monsters... maybe new names with larger prettier colors, but the same graphic, some new weapon names, but nothing spectacular... same fow armor.. same pvp.. same stupid names like one that i saw as i logged on today "I have big tyts" seriously, learn to restrict yourself from belittleing your nation.. i just feel bad that i spent so much money and time on something that when i look back on shows me nothing but "wow i really sat at my comp playing THAT?!?!?" |

when you guys say things like housing do you mean obvlivion houses where everyone can see them? or do you mean PSO houses where you just click the house button and it ports you to a room that no one knows about? will it have any use or just like.. storage? will it cost alot like a mount or will you start out with one like some generic PS2 game that you only really use once or twice until theyre useless |

This game is amazing, breathtaking graphics and an abundance of new or tweaked features from older games, but...
the leveling in this game after level 30 is totally based on parties and getting into a DP Dungeon Party, which if you get in one, almost requires you to stay for hours at a time to even gain some experience, i give this game an 8/10 but be warned, dont expect to be casual and get good :P |

Let's take a quick look at what Lineage II has to offer shall we?
5 playable races, Human - DarkElf - Elf - Orc - Dwarf an equipment system only shown in Lineage II, (no grade, D, C, B, A, S) over 20 classes to chose from all with special abilities Thousands of monsters with over 12 GB of gaming to explore The most dreadful grind anyone who has ever played a game could experience, Now im not saying that to make people think ive gotten to levle 20 and said "icky sticky" i have a level 68 Necromancer and decided to quit due to the fact that it takes hours for some percentile that wont mean anything :( I dont like the 5% enchant rates or the fact that being PKed = you lose exp, or how quickly karma accumulates, this is a fun game and has shown that through its members but come on people, to make it so hard to have even a little fun and by having fun the risk is so great that you could lose what youve worked weaks for? it's sad, but yea -- this game is a 6/10 for me
how bout you? what do you think of this game? |

Elikal's MMORPG prediction for 2008 ;)
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 11/23/07 9:12:14 PM
I beleive WoW has met it's match in the PvP region of War, and sure many people will migrate from one to the other just to check it out, whilst doing so the whole "wow im wasting so much time" idea will def. pop into their minds but who knows? this is what happened with me and WoW, when i have an urge to go slaughter some monsters or fly on my netherdrake i log on and shout out "nakama's here!" and their are other times when i feel like pvping, wow cant handle the pvp needs of people, strat's have been set- whereas Guild Wars on its what? 3rd year, still hasnt died in population, WoW is becoming a shadow, one that i wont ever leave, but still - it's just one of those things people say, i personally know friends that have never played WoW but whilst on forums say things like "this is just a WoW wannabee" it's like the 2 days after Paris Hilton first said "That's Hot" well that isnt that hot now is it? WoW seriously is just a title that i think games are trying to hard to reach, which they almost HAVE to. War wont be anything after a few years, i never see them reaching the level where they need hundreds of servers like WoW, or even the massive queue for some servers. but it will be SOMETHING... just not very noticeable, who here still remembers rune scape? that was the shit, the pokemon of the internet world when it came out, now it's almost an insult to gamers if you call them runescape players, what's the deal? all these games will fade, but no where near 2010, maybe 2020, i mean come on, look at dungeons and dragons |

I dont beleive this game will be anything greater then any one of the new games coming out, if you have ever played any of the games made by NCsoft, youll see it's just going to be another seamed game with very little necesity of interaction - a soloers haven? sure, but what of it? a casual game is not what we need right now, we need the topper - the game that will get mature players, one that requires commen sense not like the Tantra online esque - "what is 10 + 7" question every time you log on but the more realistic necesity of quests, not grinding - anyone can click and sit, whilst a character does all the work - but where is the RYL esc game? one where each click is one move, maybe an RPG like rakion where you dont spend thousands of gold on skills but more or less gain skill, just the actual meaning of skill, not "thunder press lv 10." but more or less, becoming good! this is just another cookie cutter game, hopefully you realize this before your hopes jump too high |

im level 87, i quit though ~ not enough english speaking players to enjoy myself, decent graphics though, i'd say if i were to compare it to another game --- SilkRoad Online, or a much quicker version of Knight Online
Not worth the download though, but maybe that's just because im bored of it, it obviously kept my attention for quite some time though |

i attempted the game, am very confused on why it is so high on the list, very few inventive things about this game at all |

This game would have been amazing 2 years ago as a free to play game in the middle of the WoW Saga of dominating the internet, but to even assume it will get anywhere as a pay to play game in america is idiocy ~ it will get the same 20-30 game hoppers and a few hard core people that whack it out 15 hours a day, and im happy for those few people but seriously? Too little too late, and im really dissapointed because i assumed this would be the next big thing when they announced it around 3 years ago :( Kinda like Seal online lol, have you tried that? awful - would have been amazing though if they released it on planned timing... cya all, thanks for listening to me bitch |
