that sounds terrible, games where gear doesnt mean anything makes skill something much LESS important, because the newbs run around looking just like you, there is no distinction, time lined events do things like everything is the same everyday, it'd get so repetetive that no one would play for more then a month, /failboo

no matter what people say about how succesful ffxi is, it's not compared to any non-grouping game, the games fail because groups become a hastle and pre-build settup such as if you have  this, this, this and this in your group you cant fail, otherwise you always fail. the system doesnt work in the same sense that not every active gamer plays at the same time so grouping becomes half or moreso of your played time

it contains the 30 free days that come with world of warcraft , no other time is added with burning crusade but i suggest you just but the 2 games, the strategy guides have to be updated so frequently that the battlechest books are so out of date they wouldnt be of any help

i hope with the release of lineage 3 they dont dumb it down for babygamers like world of warcraft did, that seems to be the fad this year, "how dumb can we make our games before feeding it with a spoon to the mass public?" lineage 3 should keep the same difficulty as lineage 2 because if you've ever played Lineage 1 you'd know they dumbed down the difficulty when lineage 2 came out =((

this interests me actually i had no idea they were gonna make a star wars mmo i know they have one or w/e maybe not? i had a vague thought that they may have but i played all the jedi games since xbox into xbox 360 and such,i think there shouldnt be specific classes just like "jedi" and you can level up whatever you prefer as a stat like the more you use it kind of thing and after a certain point u are able to gimp yourself like... level quickly using only one thing or slowly level each aspect of the class itself eitherway most ppl will only use one thing anyway

i think WoW will have around 2 years after WoTLK of high gameplay numbers but it will decline after that, the story is over - there's no more to add unless the make up bullsh*t just to keep it going like they did with arena's and honor gear

you dont really get a basic idea of your class until 70 where everything changes about your class... i enjoyed leveling my hunter, hated endgame with it, hated leveling my warrior, loved endgame with it... u just gotta take some chances, if you feel the need to be needed roll a paladin because if you hate tanking u can go healing, people say druid, but druids truely are the jack of all trades, theyre mediocre at everything, people say they dominate the healing spectrum but they have horrible mana consumption, just try em all..

this MUST be a joke because guild wars has this SAME EXACT system where exploration, doing things or killing things a certain amount of times grant you titles, what a joke.

if you like guild wars you'd probably enjoy an mmo named Rappelz or Rapplez i forget the spelling, i played it for quite some time, it's a dungeon grinder but there are plenty of quests per level, the graphics are similar to guild wars and the pvp is alright.

To all the fanbois of this game please turn away now..

This game is very out dated, it wasnt very well liked when it came out and as time has past with new expansions the game is somewhat less liked now then ever, the leveling is difficult and boring, leaving everything to pre-set macros and a generic group system like no other. some classes are unique such as the theif that helps the tank get aggro and the black mage has a unique skill system but it really is a boring game.

But i wont leave it at that allowing myself to be flamed, the game is very boring due to the fact that it really is a grind, of corse there are a few quests but nothing really meaningful, people say it follows lore but not enough for you to quest out each level, groups take a very very long time to gather due to the fact that very few people play anymore and anyone that does still play probably has a 60+ to help them level like a whitemage main that can just spam heal them through mobs.

Gear is boring too due to the fact that there is very little distinction between a level 10 and a level 75, of course as a weathered player you'll learn what is what but in the long run the graphics are a bore, people say they enjoy the realism but seriously, it's not a pretty game to look at even on max settings..

The moving is very hard to get used to along with the camera adjusting, selecting skills is a pain and in order to get to somewhat useful classes you have to level less useful ones to 30 to unlock them, some require 18 but still, starting over at level 1 because you couldnt start at the class you wanted is a pain, especially when after level 6 it still requires over an hour to level, whereas in the later levels it takes days, the game is settup so that it doesnt require too many kills to level but you die so often that it's a very aggrivating system.

Gear isnt bound to you like many games so you can buy all of your gear for the right price, but like most weathered games you can buy money online with real dollars.

I played this game for a very long time as a Bard/WHM and of course i was welcomed in parties but the gameplay is very one sides, and if you enjoy pvp this is deffinatly not the game for you, endgame is killing gods or some other bosses that have a chance of helping you in some way but all in all isnt fun, i remember when i hit 75 i felt no joy, i wasnt releived that the grind was over, because it had truley just begun, unless you have 10 to 15 hours a day to dedicate to this game, expect a long and strenuous grind to an even larger grind at 75..

after i quit wow my life kind of started to suck, i had nothing to fill the 6 hours gap in my day, my best friend still plays and doesnt wanna hang out during his playtime that he's able to and we cant talk anymore, i keep thinking about other things to do besides wow thus not allowing me to truley focus on anything, i figured i'd go for my permit even though there's nothing interesting near me to drive to and i failed many times because i would just not focus i'd wonder how my hunter was doing all lonely in the log-on screen.. I basically just sit on my comp downloading games that i either dont play or delete 3 minutes after character creation... oh and i started shaving again...

druids are terri-bad tanks... paladins have a way of staying up in the mana for a long time, priests still output the most, in my guild thought normally shamans top the healing charts..

WoW has kept my attention on and off for 3 years or so... i stray to each new game coming out but i always come back.. WoW just has everything where as most other games glamourize a single aspect of a game... Warhammer is calling itself a pvp game, that in itself will be its downfall and i know a lot of ppl love pvp, the game wont be a bad game it just wont be AS big..  because theyre revolving everything around pvp... and aion is.. well it's just going to be very slow.. i mean i know youve seen the videos of aion, it's slow.. the combat looks slow.. the pvp is slow.. the graphics are 4 years ago.. but yea.. WoW has a decent future

Would be my fave system tbh for class based mmorpgs and the ability to switch classes so you don't have to keep making alts.

It's called fury online and it failed miserably
