Although i applaud your "faith" the fact of the matter is, WAR wil not make much of a dent in an already dull and boaring genre that the fantasy MMO has become!

 

 

Well good morning and welcome to MMORPG. MMORPG are 99% of the time... kill X to get this and that or get X and craft this and that. That's MMORPG.

Take a look at the GTA serie, they are most the same and still people buy that game everytime it comes out. Same with FPS game, most are the same and still people buy them. Thats how games are.

Action is Action, RPG is RPG, Horror is Horror and so on. Do I need to go on?

One thing you forgot, WAR is a game about war. Sure it will have kill X, still it have more focus on killing other players then Wolfs like for example in LOTRO or WoW.

FACT - When large guilds leave on servers for other games, the rest follows. The way of MMORPG. Who wanna stay in a empty world?

Well... the thing is... 10 million accounts have been made over the years... it's not 10 million are playing right now. I have an account, I do not play anymore... but my account is still there...

Ask someone from Blizzard if they count the gamecards also in the 10 million. Trust me they will try talk about something else.

It look good in the News to say that you have 10 million accounts...

EU servers was kind of empty last time I checked. Sure a lot of people in the big citys (afk), but around the world WoW didn't look so full of millions of people. If it did have 10 million... wouldn't the PvP for exmaple have less time to wait before a match? =D

No other game can fail like AoC. The wounds are too many for FC to heal and soon FC must pull the plug and let it rest. AoC will not be able to stand against WAR and the coming WoW expansion.

Think back a little on try remember what FC talked about and what they did show us before AoC came out. What I can remember was A LOT of talk and not much "talk and let's have a look at this video".

Now look at WAR, take a look at www.warhammeronline.com , what feeling do you get after? That WAR will fail? I get the feeling that WAR will do great. Devs seems to have fun and they give us a lot of information and show us some nice clips from the game both ingame and how they work with it.

I'm not a blind fanboi, I just don't think WAR will fail like AoC. But sure it will not be perfect. No MMO is.

Yay! No stealth class! I just hate stealth people. Show yourself and fight! =D

If you have Patch problem.

It may sound wierd, but close the game after it fail and keep trying. It helps. Just when you don't think it's going to work, it does.

I remember fishing in SWG, Stormtrooper without boots on standing in the water fishing and talking to the guy next to me. It was fun and looked stupid. =)

AoC isn't a great game. So the forums will not have threads like "I LOVE THIS GAME!" or "AoC pwnz WoW" and so on... FC failed with AoC. It's sad this game looked good...

I don't know how it is at the US servers, but EU pop is going down fast. Not fun to play in a empty MMO.

FC failed so much and still not doing it better... Maybe FC make it free like they did with AO. =D

LOTRO sucks! One side too cute and no risk. And the PvMP system don't work.. Hero side in pvp is not the way to go Turbine.

Why I think PoTBS will not succed as a game or as a full priced game.

• SOE. Bad history, not good for this game.
• Avatar combat. I don't think people going to like that.
• Ship speed. Some like is slow and realistic. I think it's way too slow and I think more people will think the same. Today everything is fast, fast, fast.
• Low population. MMO's with low pop is never good. Myself I leave a game if it's going down. I think this is a big problem.
• Too many servers at start. Better start with less, then when they are full you open up new ones and people become happy. That FLS didn't know this is a little wierd.
• FLS pushed it too much. Sure low budget. I still think it was a bad move. Saying relax more will come is not the best when the game is new.
• FLS MMO knowledge. I think they need to study more.
