The sad fact is, no matter what online forum you venture to...there will inevitably be "fanbois", "trolls", naysayers what have you. It's the nature of the beast.

I think you are expecting much more from a forum than what's intended. It's a central social hub where all people from different walks of life/ opinion all come together...mashed into one.

What this forum is not, that I think some forget sometimes, is a buffet where you can selectively choose what you wish to hear/see with convenience.

I've seen critical player reviews on this website for almost every game i've been interested in, you just have to really dig and wait for them.

I would start ignoring users more often, find bloggers that your opinion seems to gravitate towards.

I suppose the ironic thing about all of this, you are asking for an alternative from the very source that you are complaining about.

 This guy is the SH*T, right? Of course he is.

 I think Rohan is one of the best F2P games in development at the moment and yet, there is little to no recognition of it at mmorpg.com. Can we atleast get a forum thread for Rohan in the "games in development" section? Anyone else agree? Has anyone else tried this game yet. I highly reccomend it.

Strange, I tried to play this game (exteel) but, every time I attempted to log in I got a disconnected message then I checked my network connection it was disconnected. I reconnected it tried again and over and over about 5 times this happened. Stumped me so I deleted game and moved on. i still would Like to try if anyone can figure this out, me being a junior tech, I have no clue. I'm thinking author software but, who knows.

 Hmm Hellgate London you say, it does have a good item system? Downloading demo as I am typing should be able to try it in an hour or so LOL 1.4 gig. Ok Ok, I have played everything I think, not the witcher though, do you know if there is a good item system, with levels of weapons and armors (IE normal, rare, unique)?

 I would love to play Mass Effect theres just one problem, I don't own a 360, yeah go on ahead and laugh. I just put too much money into my comp is all. ME has no plans on releasinf for the pc either, good idea though keep them coming. Until then its Loki for me.

 Rappelz isnt too recommended by me either but unless your in Europe Cabal Online isnt an option either. What kind of game are you looking to play? Give us some info for a better chance of finding a good title for you.

 Woah, heroin and crack just give the guy an answer to his question. Try RYL2 ( Risk Your Life 2) its free to get and play or maybe Archlord although the rogue class isnt there its open PvP past level 15.

 I am getting irritated with most of these mmo's out and coming. If its not kiddy looking it lacks a good item system, or even both. Why can't we get a game that looks simular to GuildWars with a item system close to Archlord, with a high level cap, Loki has a good item system as well. The game should have a great PvE and PvP isnt of consiquence.

 Anybody know what I am talking about? All this hype for games, then you play them and your like WTF is this?!? I realize they are free but, come on.

 Actually, you know what I had been just clicking on them and would only get the store.. So needless to say I got very frustrated and closed the game then about 10 minutes later when I got my sanity back I restarted the game, low and behold, there were more updates, this is one game it pays to restart a few times before playing first time. Now it;s working fine.

 I do also hope that people don't think I so stupid, that I would atleast atempt to try and click on them, I mean if that was the case I shouldn't be allowed to operate a computer let alone touch one ^^. No offense to my responder. And I do thank you alot for responding.
