Awesome, thanks for the quick reply!

Ok, so just for a little bit of backround before I start. My head start ended on monday, and I received my game on tuesday (yesterday) which was perfect timing. So after I activated my retail key I went to log into the game and my character was magically lvl 1 again.

I submitted a GM ticket for this last night, and what I am wondering is this; Do I have to be logged in to get them to fix this problem? I ask because I have extremely limited play time due to RL obligations, and I'd really like to not have to re level my guy.

Also, if anyone can give me a general amount of time it takes for a response from a GM ticket that'd be nice too.

I play a WP and an Iron breaker. Both have insane 1 v 1 capability, but the WP is just more fun because healing rules.

Hi all, I just registered my cd key from the actual game box, and when I logged in my character is now lvl 1. When I last played he was lvl 8 which was I think sunday night, and now he is lvl 1 again.

Has this happened to anyone else going from headstart to full game?

Sorry, I think both extremes are pretty bad.  The people that say "WAR suxxorz!" are just as bad as the "WAR is DA BEST MMO EVA!!!". Both are terrible in their own ways, but actually share a lot of common traits. Both of them exaggerate things in completely opposite ways in order to further their cause while completely ignoring basic facts about the topic. The people that rate the game a 1 on the ratings are just as bad as the people that rate it a 10. I don't do that, I just state my opinion. And just because you don't fall into a generalization doesn't mean it isn't true. Just look through the forums at the WAR fans boasting about WAR's playtime.

But certainly, because I don't like something, and state my opinion about not liking it on a public forum dedicated to stating opinions on this subject, I am a basher, but the rampant spamming of how much the fanbois love this game is perfectly just in your eyes.

I didn't say anything of the such. All I said was that trolls and fanboys are cut from the same cloth because all trolls are just fanboys of another game.
 

Anyways, you are entitled to your opinion, but I don't think it's entirely necessary to come bash a game you don't like. I don't go to the AoC forums spamming what shit I think that game is, and I spent my own hard earned money on it.

I don't hang out in the vanguard forums bashing it either and I didn't like it.

I'm not in the WoW forums right now, and I absolutely HATE that game...

This is not about bashing anything. The facts are there and I think he has a valid observation. WAR players have actually been referencing xfire multiple times as a source of information for WAR gaming activity... I can understand that Abrahamm thinks you are making up excuses to cover up a fact you do not like.

But you weren't doing that for AoC in the post that's been quoted here many many times? You fail to respond to that quote with anything other than that it is off topic, but I'm pretty sure it is exactly what you JUST replied to me. So please, enlighten us on how Xfire works for WAR, but not AoC?
 

Again, I don't use Xfire, nor do I look at the numbers for it. I also don't make excuses for games I like. Plain and simple if NO ONE else in the world liked WAR and I did I would still need no excuse. My personal taste is my taste, and yours is yours. You like AoC, and I did not ( I played for 2 months, and paid for it so I am completely entitled to my opinon). I like WAR and you do not. Simple as that.

Dude stay on topic... this is WAR forum and the xfirenumber show a devestating drop of 40% for WAR not for AoC... Out of interest, are you saying that WAR and Xfire also have compatibility probems?

Out of interest are you completely ignoring your own statements about the validity of Xfire numbers to purposely downplay WAR's population because you are upset that everyone hates AoC?

This guy is obviously trolling, and it's really sad. If you like AoC play AoC, and have a great time. Why come trash on another game? I mean, I know everyone does it now and then, but seriously to completely contridict another of your own posts just for the sake of trolling? Honestly, you can't be having too much fun in AoC if you are busy wasting your time posting about WAR and Xfire....

I think it's all a matter of subjective taste because when I started beta I went in thinking I was 100% going destruction, but then I played Order and I LOVE the classes. The only destruction class I really liked was the Black Orc, but then I played and IB and it was all over from there.

Just find the class that you have the most fun with and run with it! If it happens to be destruction then just make sure you aren't in my way on the battlefield =D

Hey, Glad you are having fun! I am as well, and I LOVE that I can do multiple things to level and get gear and have fun.

WAR is not everyone's cup of tea and I know that, but it's definitely mine. I dual sub though with DDO because my GF plays DDO and we perma death together so it's a good distraction.

don't start making this "oh they're doing great" bullshit.  if it's fixing bugs that annoy folks, people would like to know that, if annoying bugs weren't fixed, i know i would like to know what to/not to expect.

I agree, i like to know these things to. Which is why I go to the herald or warhammeralliance. Takes 5 minutes and I don't even have to make snarky comments about official forums every time.

This guy just took the words right out of my mouth on this one. If you didn't attack everyone who replied to this thread then people wouldn't treat you like a kid. Kids tend to lash out when they feel they are being insulted, and I think that your replies to this thread really make it seem like you are doing just that.  I think everyone assumed that if there is a patch without patch notes then it's just some server maintenence or something else we really don't need to know or care about.

I will agree that it would be nice to have some official forums, but I'm not going to go slinging mud about it because I'm enjoying my time in the game as it stands now.

My advice to you is to do some anger management exercises, try taking deep breaths when you start feeling tense, and always remind yourself what you are getting mad about. Like in this case when you start freaking out about the fact that you have to click accept to the EULA when you want to play the game just take 2 or 3 deep breaths and tell yourself "It's just a video game, not the end of the world". See of that helps. Deep breathing has seriously saved my latest set of headphones from being thrown across the room multiple times playing various games   =P.

Feel free to insult, or generally flame me for my constructive ideas...I see that coming anyways.

I hate to say this because it's so commonly used to insult people, but Go back to WoW. If you love that game then play it. Don't come here and bash WAR because it's "not WoW". WAR isn't WoW, and I think people should applaud their differences instead of crying about it. If you want WoW, play Wow.

To answer 3. I personally love the pvp compared to WoW BG's. The first set start a little smaller, but set up a lot more strategically, and they just get better as you level.
