Number 1 should be your only answer. If someone doesn't like the game for reasons only known to them then it's pretty easy to see they've played it and made their decision.

Personally I quit AoC when Diablo 3 was announced because I couldn't get myself to care about Conan anymore.

This sums up my feelings after 1 day of the open beta they had on Fileplanet. Think also hints that only people enjoying the game are people who's first game was WoW and is looking for something different.

I am enjoying the game currently, and I've been playing MMO's for 10 years. The way I do it is to play casually and not try to eat up all the content as fast as possible. I think what your post "hints" to is the fact that you are a power gamer.

Though, I will admit there seems to be a dry up of content past lvl 40, but I just roll new characters when I get to that point.

It's just funny because he seriously used to post like 600 times a day over here. He'd literally reply to EVERY post on this forum, and now he is completely gone....and he stopped just around the time Conan released.

This game pwns if you are NOT an assassin in PVP. 0 stuns, 0 knockbacks, and no armor= instant death. Other than that I am loving the game, and taking my sweet ass time leveling.

That guy used to start multiple threads a day, and the only one I see looking today is one from the 14th of last month....maybe he's busy playing Conan.

Was it added in this module? I remember them saying they were going to add in a new starting area with this module a while ago, but havent heard anything since.

Can anyone tell me if its in?

My log in screen freezes every time. Tried both full screen and windowed and both are messed up. Can anyone help?

Btw... there is a very clear reason why they limited the early access. They are not ready server wise for the large group of folks coming. Im sorry that you didnt do your research into AoC. If you did you would of known for quite some time now that the 3 day headstart was a limited thing on a first come first serve basis.

 

If eveyone could of ordered then you could potentially be looking at a million pre orders. A line had to be drawn somewhere. Its also been stated by them for some time too that they have the capacity/ infrastructure  for around 600k people on the servers for launch to be on the safe side.

The clear reason is your pissed because you weren't informed enough. Thats sucks I know, but its not the companies fault. They advertised this on the official forums, on websites from press releases and in their financial report.

Anyone purchasing a pre order for early access should of never been under the assumption it was guaranteed. Because it wasn't.

The there is not point trying to pass the buck, the responsibility falls directly on you the consumer to know what your getting in too.

Here is an example. You travel by public transport, You purchase a season ticket for rail / bus whatever. When the transport comes and is full and there is no room for you to get on, your pissed but understand, there is physically no room for you. Your ticket, prior purchased means you dont have to pay, but the ride is never guarenteed.

 

Though I am happy with my war mammoth just because it's cool sounding. I was really disappointed though and I don't feel like that is my fault. Game stop should've told me that when they didn't have a key for me. Funcom should've made that bold and bright red in their preorder ads.

I am still planning on playing though and I'm not THAT pissed. I was on the wire during beta until they opened up the pvp and did the lvl 20 boost. My guardian was taking on 3 guys at a time, and that made me happy because it was really more about me knowing my moves and when to use them than being an overpowered class.

When I load the game it shows me a completely black screen with only the mouse visible, and nothing else. I can hear all the music and sound effects from the different things that start, but can't see anything.

I updated my drivers and everything, but nothing works.

Can anyone help me?

*Edit* Alt Tabbing does nothing, and I have no options or anything to mess with. HELP!!!!

Well I ended up getting a key. I'm DLing the client now, but I still don't like the limited time thing. I got lucky and refreshed at the right time.

Get used to it, because this is how EQ2, this is how LOTR, Tabula Rasa, Requiem, DDO stress test, SOTNW, RFO and countless other MMO's are doing their betas.

yeah, unfortunately it doesn't support quad-cores YET....will only make use of 2 of the cores. I'm still going quad core myself, though.

 

I did manage to run the game well enough to play at about 30fps, low settings (with a few things jacked up) with my old AMD64 3200, but I wouldn't want to play in release with it.

Well that is just on the specs and you were only playing on a 2-3 month old engine,You can expect alot better on release :)

I'll eventually move to Vista and upgrade to 4 gigs of ram, but for now I'm waiting till the kinks get worked out a bit more.
