DF is just doing like aoc did, showing other devs that you can do whatever you want with a mmo, say it will have 3000 features, make something really shitty and the soullesss fanboys will still defend it.

Nice lil cv, the big 0.0 alliances could prolly use you in their high sec based corps. I was in the recruiting corp for intrepid crossing and left eve because I had to choose between eve and rl, but I had great fun with these guys doing raids in lowsecs, running missions hunting plex...

First you'd have to play the f5 game to get an accoutn and thus you'd prolly give up after a day or two.

There is no sensible reason to buy an account until they make another serv where all the alliances were build via macroing and hacking.

This topic would be better if we put how much hours it took us to reach god walking.

Why the hell cant people on these boards see the difference between forced grind, and grind quests/content available.

You dont need to grind to go on with the game, try f2p mmos like rappelz and you'll understand what forced grind is. Forced grind is when you cant go on to the next area without spending at least a few hours killing mobs or redoing the same quest on and on.

Why does the game fascinate the OP so much that he thinks about it instead of thinking about the game he is playing?

The reason is because there's something there. The game has what a very large percentage of players want. It's too bad that it's being developed by a small dev team led by an ego maniac, but even with all it's flaws it's what I'd choose to play over every other MMO out there.

So all the trolls can say how smart they are and how dumb anyone that tries Darkfall is, but they're here posting for a reason. They probably dreamed of playing a game that was what Darkfall was meant to be.

 

 

Let me be the first to say, if Darkfall was sold to a legit developer that had half a clue what they were doing and did not intend to cater to the .0001% pure PVP crown, I would be pretty excited about a game of its type.

That said, it hasn't been, it doesn't and I'm not.

I do, however, greatly relish the sort of intense forum pvp that only hardened Darkfall fanatics can provide. Ergo here I am. lol

legit dev that releases a pay to play beta of a game? Gimme a break, if av is legit then I could creat a flash game that allows 2 people to play and release it as a mmorpg with great graphics and be legit.

Quite funny how according to these forums tor went from being a sandbox to full pup to no solo game. You'd think people would get tired of speculation liek crazy after the failure that aoc and df were.

Ok well please tell me in what way you are forced to grind, is there a seperate area where there are quests that you can only acces after having done a lot of grind?

Forced grind would be you cant go on with the story/ go to the next area without grinding, not I dont have anything left to do therefore i'll grind to max rep and get me those shiny items.

Explanation is simple the only way it could have gone lower would have been if funcom closed all servers and ran away with the last subscribber's money

Those that say that book 7 forces you to grind are very wrong, unless grinding now means doing varied quests. I just got enough rep to enter the center of lothlorien and didnt do 1 repeatable quest more than once to get rep.

Concerning performance issues i guess its varies from one serv to another kauz when I play i get at worst a disconnect, but never had a blue screen playing wow, and even though i'm on vista I cant complain about the performances.

And since when do you need to have all lyour traits maxed, thats like saying the game is forcing you to do the rift because thats the only way to get rift armor.

Most of the unhappy people are the super hardcore players because the new 12 man raid was delayed. The dont lorebreak crowd is starting to learn that respecting lore fully will kill the game very fast.

Most non hardcore players are vry happy with the new update, lorien is gorgeous.

Yeah but buying the game expecting subpar and paying same price?
