game is almost dead now..im a member of one of the big legions on telemachus (elyos side) and i can say since this news almost the whole guild has switched to swtor. just a week ago we had 20+ on at almost every time. now there are max 10 ppl on and that only in the evening. u also see less ppl on day by day. i will play it till february then take a break from mmos.

The current EU servers will be left intact, and as someone who has paid already into the game you will be a 'Gold' memner from the start...

All this can do for you is rejunvenate your game, and maybe save you some money.

I mean... if the launch an abomination of a CS then by all means bail to NA, but I don't see why you would do that just based on the fact that you will be getting more players on your server and don't have to pay.

first of all i wont be a gold member but a veteran..different is that gold members will get higher rewards for sieges and also have a lesser cool down for instances.

and as i said u dont need to believe it. im playin mmos for so many years. i know how publishers work. and i know what they mean when they say "in pvp everyone will have the same chance". it means nothin else then everyone can have the same succes rate to upgrade his gear if they pay enough money on the cash shop.

so yes i will try to transfer to the na server..otherwise i will just take a break from mmos till gw2.

so you mean what GW did till now is not true? and since L2 and most of koreans MMo never asked for us buy expansion packs, because the sub we pay cover the dev costs and server running costs too.

 

its not because sony sold expansion plus sub and blizzard liked this idea to milk some even more money from they player base, this means its ok

did i say anywhere what gw did was not true? they sold expansions and earned money with it. never heared of pay 2 win items in their cs.

u can believe what u want. but everyone who played mmos long enough know that 90% of what publishers say are lies. and that there will be 100% succes rate stones in the cash shop is not an assumption. they are in the korean cs and they were in eu/na cs for few weeks and they will be in f2p versions cs for sure. result is that the game is goin pay 2 win like any other f2p game.

 

Actually, until we see Gameforge's CS it IS an assumption.

You say I cannot know, because we haven't seen the CS, and then you go on to tell me how it will be, 'for sure', despite you not having seen the CS...

You are hung by your own assertion.

 

Like I say, right now I will be working off the publisher's statement, because I have been following MMOs long enough to know that 90% of what I read by random posters on internet forum are lies. 

I have no more reason to trust your assumptions then I have their words, so far.

well in this point i have to agree. i cant say its for sure...but u dont need to be a fortune teller to know that the cs will almost the same like the korean one. and for the point to believe everything what a publisher says..well u will be very disappointed :)

i always hated high lvls with full pvp gear goin on lowby areas and killin ppl..but the day its goin f2p i will perpetrate a massacre on those lowby areas untill gw2 release :)

u can get to max lvl just in a few weeks and the pvp gear also just in a few weeks (thanks to the new 2.7 instances).  2-3h/day by just doin inis or qs is more then enough for that.

so either u are just trolling or u are talking about the game before the 2.0 (we have now 2.7;) ) patch.

seems like only ppl who have no clue about the game are postin here. at the beginnin when rifting wasnt nerfed alot of ppl were complainin about beein ganked (ofc they didnt expect that in a pvp game..) so ncsoft put rift buffs in the game..then pvpers started to complain about killin the riftin so ncsoft decied to change it every week..so 1 week no buffs and 1 week with buffs. for me a good agreement for both sides.

and now we have ppl talkin about low lvl pvp...sry but just lol...u can reach lvl 50 in just a few days..when and with who do u wanna do pvp? most of the ppl let their high lvl m8s powerlvl them..u wont see much ppl to pvp with in low lvls. and with lvl 46 (imagine thats just reached in few days) the pvp starts everywhere u go.

also when i read here ppl complainin that the 2 new pvp instances are not enough for pvp i have to laugh again...u guys rly have no clue about the endgame in aion do u? im a pvper mysel so what am i gonna do when im done with those 2 inis? yeah i will go to inggi/gelk/silentera  and start doin my daily and weekly pvp quests. and when im done with that i go to gelk (im playin an elyos) and beat the shit out of the asmos (just for fun and to farm some abyss points). and in between i also go sometimes for dredgions when there is time.

so yeah there is more then enough pvp and i hope ncsoft wont bring more pvp instances to the game since imo the open world pvp is much more fun then fightin a few ppl in an instanced world.

moreover with the new instances the gear grind is almost gone..just take a look on the pvp gear u can get there..u can get the whole gear in just few weeks. even faster then the pve gear. so there is no point anymore to complain about that.

btw yeah the 3.0 is on the korean (not chinese) pts but thats bc the game was released in korea months before the west. it takes time to localize the game for the whole west since there are more then only one language to translate.

well there were an item in the cash shop for 2 weeks which allowed the ppl to success on socketin manastones by 100%. but as i said it was for 2 weeks. hope there wont be anythin like that in the future anymore otherwise i would quit too.

You missed the part where you need it for 7 gear parts with up to 6 slots. It's 7*6*(5 to 7)

actually only idiots would use them for all 6 slots..ppl use them for the 5th and 6th slot since they are the hardest ones.

so w/e since wednesday they removed them again from the cash shop and i hope we wont see anything like this anymore. maybe the complaints on the forums are enough for ncsoft to recognize that alot of ppl in the west dont like stuff like this. but actually if there were enough ppl buyin those items then i guess we will see more stuff like that in the future.

yeah your gear sux badly dude. u need an abyss set and should use only mr manastones. to gain the ap for that u should do alot pvp and also do the lower abyss chambers in the lower forts. and try to go to every dredgion as soon as u lvled up. the e30 and e40 gear shouldnt be hard to get this way..but i would advice u to go for the e40 since it has a good amout of mr bonus. anyways u should know that sorcerers will always nuke u if they have a normal gear.

instead of the wall of text filled with gibberish u could just write "i have no idea about grp and solo dungeons, can someone explain pls".

1. aion is focusing on end game with pvp and pve. so if u wanna do pve only this game is not made for u.

2. solo dungeons on low lvls have been implemented to allow ppl to lvl faster to reach the end content asap.

3. almost all dungeons in the end content are for grps + there are world bosses (bosses that u can find on maps where u also do quests and stuff) which u can only kill in raids.

4. from what u wrote it seems like u are a dungeon grinder and just wanna do them 24/7. this way of playin sounds totally boring to me but well each to their own. anyway aion is focusing on pve "and pvp". so once again if u wanna do pve only this game is not made for u.

btw there are 4 grp dungeons (Indratu Fortress, Draupnir Cave, Dark Poeta and Theobomus Lab) not listed on the link u have posted for aion. there are even more just i cant remember the names. also the abyss chambers (instanced dungeons) are missin. every fort in the abyss has a dungeon too. there are 8 forts = 8 more dungeons (all for grps ).

and the link is kinda out of date. since patch 2.5 and 2.6 there are 3 more dungeons. 2 for grps and one for solo.

yep u didnt get it. aion is still a game with an open world pvp. if they would make the arenas awailable 24/7 that would kill the open world pvp. and anyways a rvr mmo should be about zerging in first point. now they will bring a 1vs1 and a grp arena and that should be enough. if u wanna do only 1vs1 fights then go play street fighter, mortal kombat or tekken.
