Oh, I was not familiar with the forum here on mmorpg.com, thought this was the place for most posts, sorry for that. However I can't seem to edit the post. Is it possible to report this to some kind of a admin?

Fist of Europe
Guilds « Darkfall

The Fist of Europe is made up of those individuals that seek a mature environment, and a place that offers a sense of belonging. The focus of the Guild is to provide a safe environment in a world of violence and malcontent. We defend our borders and those of The Realm of Kirdain with dedication. This is our home, our land, our people and being such we will protect what we have worked so hard to achieve.
We offer an Organized Military Structure, and also a Structure for those who are not militaristically minded.

Both Types are welcome!

We would like be the ones to say we have developed the best system for ourselves and you as the individuals but we'll let you decide that for yourself! For you battle hardened types out there we offer you the room to grow within our guild through the Army, while we still offer growth and the ability to increase your fame in our Realm by the means of Crafting and aiding the realm in a more peaceful manner. We welcome both types!

Here you will find a group of players dedicated to a friendly atmosphere. This seems a pretty standard thing to say but we actually mean it here. We try to ensure everyone has the best gaming experience that they can. So no matter how old you are or whether or not you have a family you shouldn't ever feel out of place in our clan.

The Fist of Europe is based on the feudal system of government that was common throughout Europe during the Medieval Age. The Curia Europae are the leaders. Unlike their European counterparts, the Curia Europae are not made up entirely of nobles but rather elected officials aside from the Baron himself, they also disagree with the belief that their Citizens must serve them. The Fist of Europe replaces that belief with one that states that both the Nobles and the Citizens serve the Barony not the person or persons ruling it.

Fist of Europe is inhabited by the Mirdain, Dwarves with Humans making up the majority. Fist of Europe is not a military-stricted Barony but one who also enjoys a prosperous economy. We welcome the pure-hearted fighters along with the tinkering crafters into the Barony's borders.

The Barony is a Sub-guild or Vassal if you will to the Realm of Kirdain but enjoys complete autonomy and even has a say in matters regarding the Realm as a whole.

We recently became a memberstate of the Hyperion Kingdom.

Here are a few commonly asked questions and answers:

Q. Does the guild have restrictions in Darkfall? Race/appearance/playstyle?
A. The Fist of Europe does have restrictions. We only accept applications from players from the races of Human, Mirdain, or Dwarf. The plan is to have a guild uniform for use during events. All playstyles are welcomed though we do look down on random player-killing or any other griefing actions.

Q. From what region are most players from?
A. Our member base consists of Europeans only at this time, though we have had Americans in the past.

Q. Am I able to play even if I’m from minority region?
A. Yes, even though the majority of the members are from Europe. We have no problem filling in the gaps with North American players

Q. Are you allowed to be a hybrid soldier (Some melee, archery, and casting) or must you focus entirely on one so that you better fit within the Hierarchy Ladder?
A. We expect our soldiers to be some sort of hybrid when it comes to fighting but they must have a primary characteristic that is identifiable for strategy purposes.

Q. Will lower ranking citizens have any say in what goals and activities the guild takes on?
A. All members have a say in what the guild does but they must be voiced properly through the chain of command. The chain of command is used so that the Nobles do not have to micromanage every situation that arises but leaves it to officers to deal with. Only if an officer is unable to help than one would approach a Noble. But I must say the majority of the Nobles have an open door policy that allows a member to approach a Noble at any time unless he is in a meeting or busy with prior entanglements.

Applicants, head over to www.fistofeurope.com find the correct subforum and write your application using the template provided.

A great idea, more of these stuff should be incorperated in to mmorpgs.

Look who is saying it. Please sir, give me some hard evidence that the majority of the people have the same oppinion as you do? The majority of the people playing Eve like a hardcore sandbox game., how is training queues hardcore?

And besides, come on? How hard is it to log in for 30 sec and change once skills? Only way you can't do that is if you are in a foreign country and your eve online computer is not available - or if you are a retard and need an hour or more to do it. I my self work more then full time, I workout 6 days a week etc, and I calculate my skill training time to get the most out of it. It's a skill! you have to train to be able to train your skills in the most efficient way, just like everything else in eve and other mmorpgs.

Cant see how training queues will be good for the game, would be far to easy to level and never loose a second of training. Just lame.

I my self and several of my friends sees Walking on stations as the perfect expansion, far better then anything else and more important.

Why? Because we think the game should have a more evolved social aspect, and more "mindless fun" in it.

Been looking forward to this for ages!

Damn, that some neet stuff, I pray to god that I win :) Great stuff.

How in god's name have I missed this game!!! Thank mmorpg.com for the 14 days trial commercial, I am now joining in to see if this fits me or not.

See you in game!

Best regards, Davoud

I would love to try it, but I would never buy the hole game after the first failure. Shame they are not smart enough to give people 5 days free or something like that. Perhaps it will come.

Oh, I thought I could start today. So it's on monday the 27 that we can start playing Runes of Magic. Thanks for the information.

Best regards, Davoud

Let me see if I got this right, are we able to play for free until october 18, or during just that day?

How can I downloading the full Vanguard without having to pay a monthfee? Someone got a link please?

Thanks in advanced! :)

Sandbox?
General Discussion « Darkfall

What I think marks a sandbox game is if the economics of the game will be player based or not. Like EVE online etc, hopefully it will.

As long as they make the game Blizzard style, I will be happy. Which means they make it almost perfect before release, not months after...

Only thing disturbing me is those hovercrafts, I say wtf? Where in hell did they get that idèa? I love what Darkfall could become, but seeing those in the video made me a bit dissapointed. What ever happend to the old ballista, catapult, trebushe, ram and canon sieges? Why in gods name to they have to have hovercrafts in the middle of everything?

You joking? Are the actully bringing dead characters back in game? Aint this AoC game supposed to be played out after all the book's and its time frame?

15.2 What part of the Conan lore is the game based on?
We're basing the game primarily on the original works of Robert E. Howard, but we're also drawing upon over seventy years of books and comics. The game itself plays out shortly after the events that are described in the story “Hour of the Dragon”, which is considered to be one of Howards’ finest novels.
In this world, filled with cruel gods, mythical creatures, lost civilizations and a struggling human race, the mighty barbarian has finally seized the throne as king of Aquilonia.

Oh thanks, I forgot that I read that some months ago. Then i need to find that novel and some before that time frame to get a grip on when the game is played out.

Hopefully they have some actions in mind when it comes to fighting third-party-programs and gold-selling.

Any ideas here how you actully can fight that on a good level? For the cheating part I recon good communications with the community and key bans would be good. But the gold selling is a hard one.

Because almost all players going in to this game are players that can handle a death or two and most know that AoC is focused around pvp with pve material included. I don't find it strange at all that it won't have a rp - pve server in the beggining. For me however I dont care, I plan to play on the rp - pvp!
