As of next week , (The week of June 4th thru June 8th) We are holding auditions for the high anticipated "List of Lies" Re-written and ready for production! All my opinion ofcourse, but eh, been in the industry long enough to see the ins and outs.

I use to be dead set against this title at one point (horrble initial concept) but they have turned it around, stil intrested in seeing the final product, but if something comes before that, well ..sadly it's something I can easly just as well pass on.

Engine 5 years old? How do you know that they had a complete engine 5 years ago? How do you know the engine wasnt upgraded multiple times since? And in what screenshot or video does the engine look dated or lacking?

And only 4000 subs? Are you that retarded? Go to the forums and click on Members List, youll see it clearly state: Showing results 1 to 30 of 124842

because it was going to be release "as it was" and well there was such an uproar because of no avatars, no land walking etc... it was ships in water. If you followed this title you would know that. However they have changed that all around which is a good thing. For the low graphics on the avtars etc? The devs recently said "we did that for the smooth play" not a quote, but close to it, basicly saying our old engine still looks descent. No argument, it still (even today) looks good, but there are other titles in the work that will (big suprise) offer the same thing.  Eh, Wish them all the best and hope to play it soon, but with more delays I know what is coming and if other titles beat them to the market, well it's just a no brainer there.

Sure just like swg they might sell an inital 500,000 just because it's startrek, but look at all the startrek games. Legacy for instances(the latest in the ST genre) promised so much, but because of faulty horrid controls, it's on the shelf after about a week of play as most ST games of the past are. For some reason, because it has an ST tag, developers think it's ok to, "just get by".. Fans of ST want just as much immersion as those that wanted the same in Starwars. Someday, one dev will actually undestand why something like this is most cruitial in a title such as this.

I am with Dracus on this one,

All information currently released points to no interactive interiors with personal ships. Suprised I am to hear this actually, being that ST is based just on this concept (crews interact within a ship, go on away missions etc). SWG has been mentioned here allot and I am one of those that went back and now love it again. The space combat they have there is by far the most fun space sim to date. Reminds me allot of wing commander series which makes sence because it was those devs that were hired to make that part of the game.

Walking inside a ship on the move and looking out into space seeing combat going on or astroids flying by is nothing but aww struck when you are there. No screen shot or text can really give that justice. Not to mention the interactive play when repairing our ship on the fly as one guy jumps off a gun and goes into the ships interior (runs around inside) repairing critical damaged points while you can hear the fire of lasers and the battle around you. That is just awsome!

To think that STO is really going to for go or basicly think "this is not really a top priority" just tells me were this title is going. While it may be purly viable that there could be internal walking of the ships during flight, from what quotes many of you for and against this topic have posted, it is obviously clear that it's not a priority and will be just for "looks".

This in itself as many has turned me away from this game faster then a speeding bullet, sure it's not going to be out for sometime, but if the devs keep this line of thinking, they can also keep their game. Argue all you want about "they didn't say this or that" but the fact is there it is obviously not a priority that many players obviously think it is. In this , they have no concept of what their real player base wants other then "we have to make it like WOW!" .. Keep your WOW space sim, I will go play UNO!

LOL keep spinning that web rumor mill... but no were in the past has bioware indicated doing another sw game, they infact when asked directly on the subject stated they are open to the idea in the future, but right now they are working on their own license for a new world they are making. So all this licensing crap is ummm for licensing, you make a world you need to protect it or some other dum dum will come along and rip it off.  So nice digging and flipping for the rumor mill and wanting it to happen love, but as with many things in gaming... Get your facts right ,

For those intrested in truly checking it out, just read the update notes to chapt 6 release. Allot is coming, the med nerf woopeedoo, so you can't chain heal, about freakn time if you ask me.

- Commandos are being put in line finally
- The resist in all armor are back in
- The CH class is coming
- Rebs get new missions that continue the reb theme park
- PvP damage reduction is being taken out finally
- Buffs mean something but are not the "I win" button anymore

And a freakn ton more, not to mention DEMOLITION! finally kiss all the old player crap goodbye and good ridance to those that never come back. I wouldn't want them back to be honest. While SOE screwed things up , fine I left, but came back later and now love it. So it's time to clear the planets up and let us play "our" game :) can't wait!

But seriously to the old players that are actually intrested in coming back with an open mind I can say a few things, First the game is WAY better then it was, bug wise etc.. Second the combat leveling sucks, plain and simple, once you do all the missions that there are to do (sadly only get a new character to about 60) you have to grind the rest or get help on quest that are so obviously miss leveled for the time you recieve them.

All in all it took me with a new toon, a month of questing (I am a casual player) and then about 2 weeks of grinding to get 90. Non combat such as entertainers (which btw are awsome again) and crafters (still need love) can easly level up in a day or two if you got the cash to buy resources and or what you need to get there.

Beyond all this thou, I enjoyed all the quest, loot drops, pvp is a blast and so much more. I definitly have changed my toon from the past and if you can "leave" the past behind you, you might find a pretty dam fun game again.

All the negativity hehe, well I don't blame you all, but as many know i went back to swg and have been loving it. Seems I am not the only one sence I have plenty of bounties to choose from. Nothing like in the old days for sure, but still plenty there and lots of pvp. So eh, I like it now more then before and that my opinion on it.

As far as the other stuff, gods and heroes I have to say I have been following and looks really sweet, definitly going to try that one out. As far as all other SOE products in current standings i have no intrest because they are to me "past the time". But swg keeps me busy and with the CH class coming back along with new content and more, the new dev team rocks! Anyways, bash away.. you have for over a year now and i doubt that will ever change.  Salu!

I have to say that most of your sigs are ummm intresting, but it's the people like you that no one wants in their MMO , take a guess why that is? I mean, name a MMO coming soon? not for a few months, it was good timing on their part on the release date, there is nothing out worth playing atm so the choices are slim. As far as CnC goes it has been out now for awhile and was in first for a bit.. not an MMO mind you, but as far as computer games goes there really isn't anything out worth getting, Heck I have to wait for another month before i can get my hands on Overlord :), now that should be fun, always loved the dungeon keeper series.

LOTRO I think (an opinion) is a good game, great no, but good. It all again comes to your flavor of what you are looking for in a game. If however one is new and is curious about this title, it is easy to look threw many post here and get a good conclusion of what the game is about. It is simple to play, a challenge for vet mmo players probably isn't there, but if you love the Token world, this is a great place to visit!

When it comes down to preference, many people here say "eh it's all the kids that don't like it, thou there are exceptions"... I am 40 in rl, Love Token lore; don't care for the interpretation depicted in this title. It is decent, but I prefer to go back to daoc or even swg, which I play both currently.

Point to all this? Read what you post and realize all you are doing is double talk, some have real good points and this game, others just spam allot... Like it , love it, hate it or just don't care it's all an opinion and everyone is welcome to their own. If you’re going to make an argument for it back it up with something that makes since. Not the "well" statements above which just show your own ignorance in your posting.

Companies that permaban did it for a serious violation and won't let you re-sub unless you file a greavence and beg for forgivness. Even in SWG, because if this was the case, my friend's account wouldn't be banned and he wouldn't have to had started a new one. You might have had a suspension, but I think your just bosting your post. Why I have no idea, swg is were it is, people play it now like it or not. People play other games like it or not. No I was permabanned.

I had made a rather unkind post on the forums directed at Garva. When I tried to log in to the game, later that day, I got a message saying I was banned. I then contacted a CSR who told me I was permentantly banned.

Then a month later I got an email from them saying my ban was lifted "after careful review" and would I like to check out the changes to SWG with a great new free vet trial.

Believe it or not I really dont care. Its no skin off my back. SOE does this crap all the time.

Oh and remember the "fight club" incident? Alot of permabans there. But many came back in the following months. I know of one player who was permabanned for duping power crystals but I saw he was back.

The fact that I and others have gotten over 9 months of free play time in an 18 month period says it all. If I was a current paying player I would be pissed no end. There they are paying every month while vets are getting free time like mad. All in hopes the vets will come back. Guess what SOE? They aint came back yet so its safe to say no matter how many free trials you offer they aint coming back.

Yeah, in one house I had the emperors sword from the theme park, a full set of tusken armor, ST armor, A couple Nym's slug throwers, some of the stealth clothes, Some of the rare paintings! A lot of this stuff was pre-Cu stuff too! Some holos, rugs , glass top tables, and odl stim packs!

EQ, DAOC, WOW, you name it , all are the same game, they are MMO's, massive multiplayer online games with the same concepts of level, kill, farm and ofcourse the "monthly fee"... I think it would be safe to assume many here are going to LOTRO because WOW is now old to them, just as I leave daoc and goto swg yet again, back and forth I go waiting on a good game to come out. I tried LOTRO and didn't like it to be honest, but then again I didn't like the graphics in DnD online and this game looks just like it and plays the same in my eyes, (well beyond the instancing) it all comes down to preferances.

WHO might be good to me because of the game being based on pvp.. but then again STO could be good because I am a fan of ST as much as LOTR, thou STO latly has been releasing info about their game that is a huge turnoff, so at this point out of all known massive online games coming out the only one with intrest to me is ...... eh you don't care, .. but allot is coming and I only think one will be actually unique and fun to play.,.,. but again that is all subjective to begin with huh?

Anyways, I was a nay sayer sometime ago, I come and go in swg and some other titles. My RL bro told me of some cool changes in crafting etc, have to say pretty dam cool for those that are intrested. The old game , lets face it was broken while the new I have found only slight issues. Would I suggest a full time return? nah , not really, I mean the game "as is" now is descent, but I still hold some grudges, the new coming pet trainer classes are a pure revisit to the old with only twist to the line.. not that it's the same thing, but eh, in a way it will be... I think that will end up being some over glorified riding pets, lol.... I mean, if you are thinking of going this class for actual pvp stuff (which btw, GCW SOOO much better!) .... I think your in for a rough suprise.

Anyways, decscent, getting better.. is it were I would come on here, face the flamming and recommend it? nah, not that good yet, getting there thou.
