You know this is an excellent point. If WoW has that many active subscribers...where are they? They sure as hell aren't on the NA servers, I was bored last weekend and didn’t have much to do so I cruised around WoW's servers. What I found mostly was complete ghost towns. Even on the mac daddy Argent dawn......it was down right deserted save for the twenty or so level 1 gold spammers shouting their ads in the middle of Stormwind. I log into LOTRO the cities are bustling you can see people are playing, same thing with EQ II since the expansion Qyenos has become a major crossroad and on most servers it's downright crowded. But the King WoW servers are eerily lacking in people and that is what is confuses me . This isn't a WoW bash I play and enjoy the game I just can't for the life of me see how the NA servers even have a million people much less what Blizzard is claiming. |

Well to be fair you did start it by calling me a Troll nes pas? I wasn't Trolling, I am just voicing some very disturbing trends that I am seeing. And you’re right I am going to point out that it isn't a democracy. CCP is playing with it's credibility here.... "better than nothing" is going to cause them to lose subs. The EvE community by and large are smarter than your average bears and they can smell bullshit a couple light years away. |

And when I say mature, I mean you don't see players form these games running around with names like didurmomhard, nor do you read about how they ask if the Virginia Tech victims dropped good loot on their own official forums. I understand that isn’t representative of all WoW players, but Blizzards Doctor Spock philosophy (IE. Games for leet d00d Asshats by leet d00d Asshats) certainly encourages it. And honestly more doesn’t mean better, (Runequest anyone? ) I have played extensively WoW, EQ II, and LotrO. And I find EQ II and LotRO has much more depth, along with more exciting quest. WoW’s popularity is basically a fluke like the pet rock or Ben Afflack, and in the U.S. market it’s not doing that much better than other MMO’s. |

The Goons, BoB and every other uber corp is jockying to get there man or woman as the case may be in this. What we are going to end up with is a bunch of buricratic bullshit that only serves a corp or two while joe player gets screwed. I guess Hilmar wanted it to be just like in the real world. |

Honestly I'm glad WoW is doing well. Thanks to WoW games like LOTRO, EQ II and EvE have a much more mature community. I hope that WoW is popular for a long long time. |

Upper deck is a endles source of cash for me; pick up a few boosters sell them individually for retarded prices on ebay. The spirit tiger I sold went for 650.00 U.S. Thank god for fanbois with more cash than brains. |

Yet another reason to be ashamed of the gamer community. Here we have a game that was made for 9-11 yr olds, and we have the over 40 year old basement dwellers raising hell about the games PVP and lack of crafting.. The arrogance in thinking that every MMO is made to serve their demographic (I.E. white and nerdy) is astounding. A good friend of mine is actually one of the producers on this and they asked my seven year old daughter to help beta test the game, she is enjoying it because hey they designed it for kids....let me repeat that for the comic book guy sitting in the basement with the pirate hat on..FOR KIDS. He told me last weekend that a never ending source of being creeped out was grown men writing these passionate emails about how cannons didn't have AOF damage and that chat wasn't totally open. This is why some gamers keep thier hobby a secret.
