Honestly security had to escort one ...psycho for lack of a better term from the last Gen-Con because he felt like it was his moral duty to shout threats at one of the AoC devs. The conduct on these forums hasn't been much better, |

That's really odd my wifes PC is a AMD3200 with 2 gigs of Ram , and a Geforce 7800 GT she runs the game on balanced and has yet to crash once. You really should have made sure all your drivers were up to date, but sounds like you really didn't dig the game that much anyway, |

I still enjoy EQ II, I can understand why some choose to move on, but I don’t understand the personal Vendetta, nor do I understand the Mods allowing this when we all know that if it was someone bashing oh say WoW or EvE they would be looking at the Business end of the ban hammer. |

No one really gives a damn about hype. What will make WAR a phenomenally sucsessful MMO is it is quite simply incredibly fun to play. WAR will have challenges, it will face the same Hate that rabid WoW fans lay on any MMO that dares shows promise, but unlike other MMO's it dosn't have the game play and devloper issues that recent releases had. Personally I could give two craps about if WAR will be a WoW killer...Blizzard is doing a fine Job of Killing WoW all by their lonesomes |

Well lets see. in the past two months I have seen on Argent Dawn the streets of Stromwind go from Bustling to where the hell is everybody on Saturday night, several larger guilds are no longer larger guilds and several more are no longer around. There is a reason for this and that reason quite simply is WAR.

It's a shame what they did to WoW....thankfully Mythic has built a game that is going to ravage WoW and leave it's dead corpse in a alley. War is coming and Blizzard Trembles at it's aproach. |

I see Blizzard is in trouble with WoW..no one really cares about WotLK, the game has gone beyond absurd with the Motorcycle mount, and Positive Buzz about WAR from Beta testers grows almost hourly. Don't worry Blizzard you still have D3 and SC2 (Not to mention the eventual Diablo MMO) to fall back on. |

I dunno, it just didn't capture the feel of EvE to me. I remember the old Battletech novels did a fantastic job of capturing the Battletech/MechWarrior gestalt...this was really full of fail. |

This will not be your Sandbox pre CU wet dream. Think more Force Unleased and Mass Effect. Lucasarts or Bioware dosen't really care for you to begin with, spout off just once when their forums go live and see if I'm not right. |

Smed is a lot like Jeff Kaplan in that regard. Kaplan has a "special" Smed has the ability to keep the powers that be that he is the right choice for the company, Anyone who was at Comic-Con knows that DCUO is going to be a License to print money for SOE (The crptic guys were Visibly and I mean Visably shaken.) Smed will take full credit even though he had zero to do with it, and will be around for another Five years. |

Uber Raiders and EQ Devs backing down every time they whine is the reason the vast majority of folks left EQ like Rats from a sinking ship. They thought they would basically get the same treatment in WoW until one of their own (Tigole) basically gave them the finger. |

Aside from Jim Lee , they have Dave Parker Ex CoH developer and designer of some of the best missions in that game, as well as Jeff Smith Ex Bioware Wiz Kid, and Jon Sato of Squaresoft. The project is well funded and well monitored by DC..it the sort of situation that Cryptic would have killed for, but the hitched their wagon to fickle Microsoft that kills every MMO that can not Guarantee WoW like subscribers and a development cycle of 24 months
