Anyway back on topic. Who gives a crap if its an RPG or not, if he thinks it's like CoD or not then whatever floats his boat. It's gonna be a fun game eitherway i really couldn't care less what genre it's under when i go searching for it on amazon.

Reminds me of every other bioware game to be honest. Very statis and lifeless. Never felt immersed into the world when I played any of their games. The story is ok yes but story means nothing to me If it doesn't have a world around it that can make me feel like a part of this story. It's just like reading an average book. So this SWTOR story might get like super epic by end game and you'll praticipate in some Empire/Republic battle.  I imagine it being in some empty barren field with just a bunch of NPC's standing around waiting for you to attack them. 

Lots of people might find this game fun and will blindly support it and neglect anything wrong with it.  But you can't disagree that for a 2011 release with such a powerful IP and all the fan base behind the Star Wars franchise, as well as the millions of dollars in production value...we get what? the same generic hotkey mmo that we've all played in some form or the other.  It doesn't even attempt to be different. Story driven doesn't mean much (Lotro is a story driven mmo,its not perfect or has the money spent into voice acting like swtor does but it's there, so you can't say that this is anything revolutionary) 

I'm not disappointed with the game, because I already knew it was going to be like this. This is just my opinion on the game and I hope you can respect that. I am not trying to persuade anyone to think negatively about it, it's your money and your time so you do whatever you want with it.

Sorry but Beta does not mean what it used to mean back in the days. Releasing a beta a month or so before release is more of a marketing strategy than anything else. Replying with "ITS BETA" to someone who does not find the game enjoyable and then bashing them for it is retarded. I didn't find SWTOR fun, I thought its just yet another generic mmo with light sabres. You can't throw the beta card at me since i'm not complaining about the technical problems with the game, I just don't enjoy the gameplay and the style of the game. No amount of bug fixes or the release day is going to fix that. 

So tired of everyone screaming "it's BETA"  Whenever I see that this image comes to mind.

They've gone too far imo. Transformations should have been relegated to a seperate class (BeastMaster, Shapeshifter, PieMaster?). This just seems too rediculous now, and I'll probably pass on GW2 now :(.

It is part of the lore that this particular race can shapeshift so they didn't just randomly pull that out of their ass... It's not like they're pulling some Liu Kang shit and everyone can turn into dragons.

What about werewolves? They aren't some shamans or druids they are just people who are able to shapeshift. So shapeshifting into animals is FUCKIN CRAZY AND OVER THE TOP but having some big ass dragons and battle cats(Charr) with rifles isnt...

Personally GW2 isnt enough like GW1. I want my instances/dual class system and monks damn it. LFGing healers makes the game last so much longer.

Wasn't too impressed with the gameplay vids.

All the big numbers flying on the screen and the flashy moves looks a bit over the top korean mmo style.

The UI looks strange as well some diablo style HP sphere? I hope not. 

Necro spell effects all look the same, just big green/black clouds. All spells seem to be spammable without any significant cast times.

Although i will most likely play it and love it, I would have prefered it to be more like GW1.

Don't really like the layout of the char creation :(

I found the one in the 1st game to be a lot nicer. Character looks weirdly out of proportion aswell.

Damn why are US prices for time cards the same as standard price.

EU ones are pretty much 2 months for price of 1.

Is there any place i can buy 60 day game cards where i can get the keys sent to me by email for US version of the game.

I live in UK and i don't particulary want to pay through my card. It'll probably be cheaper than standard price as well.

F2P option is a piece of crap. It's like a trial why not just lower the subscription costs to like 8.99$ or 10.

F2P option is technically a trial, premium is a waste of time so just subscribe because its so much eaier and no hassle with those online stores.

Nah, maybe 40-50 pence higher or maybe the usual 8.99.

Probably the 1st though, cause ive noticed on my current MMO's the price is £9.49

Are you serious? A "real" opinion, is what everyone presents.  An opinion can be different than your own and be "real". Maybe you do not see as many opinions like yours about AOC, because the game has improved. At launch just like any game there is bound to be outcry. Because a game is not what a person thought, or was lead to believe it was. You do not have that problem anymore with AOC as people (lots of people) have played it.

People have a clear picture of what to expect, in that case there is bound to be less disappointment. Which leads to less rage quitting, which leaves less negative chatter. It is a clear cut trickle down effect.

I also find a poster with a history such as yours, bringing up viral marketing to be hilarious. The O.P. has a clear non biased posting history, in regard to the purpose of this website (discussing the MMO genre). As do many posters who post in this section, and here you are with a clear agenda (one only needs to glance at your history to see that) making accusations toward others. Just remember everytime you point a finger there are three pointing right back at you.

AoC sucks....you can  go on about improvements all you want. (FC should get a medal because the game doesn't crash every 5 minutes?--yeah it a real Masterpiece). Yes AoC is the worst MMO on the market---your're right...that is my stand. Because it's the truth. Not hard to carry that bias.

This game is built around a 1999 game engine-and the client can't handle al that pretty artwork. The game has de evolved in the last year, and Craig Morrison should be fired with extreme prejudice. Anything good this game has to offer is pretty broken.Defend this pos all you like, but at least the population has spoken...and keeps speaking by leaving. You won't fool many people with this BS about  AoC being worth anyone's time.

If you like this game (which most gamers don't), then perhaps your taste in gaming should receive a reality check. Giving this title an -A is the equivalent of saying the movie. "Gigli," Should have been nominated for an Academy Award.

the grades and percentages don't compare from game to game. WoW might get 90% and WAR gets 90% That doesn't mean there both of the same quality.

That just means that the game is good at what it does and its everything it says it is.

A- imo is a good score. Although I still wouldn't return to it since theres nothing to do other than combat and more combat.

Weird thing is the game actually works a few seconds after the error message..

Since EQ2 forums are all quiet, i'll post here too.

Hope it has the same art style as EQ2.

Vanguard was a bit too dark and too brown/green.

Hopefully it won't be like the generic new mmos and will have that magical feel that EQ and EQ2 had.

More armor styles than the ones we got in EQ2.

Keep the EQ2 music don't change it into some crap.

Better animations for running and sort out that anti kiting system, things look so retarded when they run faster than they should.

To be honest, I'd be happy if EQ3 was same as EQ2 just uses a better optimised engine with better character/spell animations.

I don't know what everyone is on about..

I've never had any problems with SOE and i think their games are great, they just lack the money or dedication to advertise their products.

I'd love EQ2 to have more players I would definately resub to it.
