Yeah well... I'm guessing it's the case where the one's who like Rift are all playing and the rest are crying on the forums. Personally, I'm just here to take a break from a crazy open beta rampage. Played pretty much all day, every day and been staring at healthbars too long. :) I'm thinking on calming down now and maybe joining back once the early start begins. Don't want to burn myself out.

Oh and I guess I need to give extra attention to my wife candidate so she leaves me alone once 24th comes. :D

I was trying to do a fugly looking necromancer wench in Rift, then gave up since it always turned out to be a "hotty". :)

To me it's like any other mmorpg:

• Grind quests - solo or with group. 
• Do instances - with group.
• Have fun.

Nothing special, nothing wrong. It's just nice looking and polished and the Good Guys / Asshats ratio is around 1:20, just like in any other mmo. 

But it's still nice. The only mmorpg currently that really is worth mentioning. 

Cool guys stay at mmorpg.com forums. Venturing deeper, into game's own forums is always a tragedy and no one comes back from there alive - or sane.

I guess I'm allright with Wow players coming into Rift. (not much I can do about it :D ) I just hate how the chat is nothing but wow-talk, the topic is like a rotten disease that you can't get rid off.

In short, OP does have a point there - BUT, I'm pretty sure that with a little time this game is really going to be awesome. Even I can admit that, me, the guy who's always been about graphics! I can lower my standards for once if rest of the game outshines it.

The problem is that people roll into PvP severs, thinking PvP means the fighting is honourable and you can always pick your fights. No, it's not.

Of course you use the element of surprise. Of course you every dirty trick your class has. And the funniest part is this: everytime you get a kill, well that's a kill. Everytime you get killed, that's a gank with no skill included.

People play such "victims".

Can't say for certain if there'll ever be new UO, but I'll promise death will happen some day. All we can do is to run away from it - or maybe write a petition that we aren't ready to go out yet. :)

And from those games you listed, Xsyon is the one that I'm personally the most interested right now. It looks like it could be very fun game to play. My only question is, if you leave out the cool landscaping (that most utube videos are about) and the possibilities it offers what else is there?

I don't want to be just hunting food or gathering resources all the time.

To me it looked like a rogue working in his element. And when you'r in the mood for hunting guardians, you don't "search" people around your level, you don't think "hmmm, is this ethical killing this lvl 24 cleric when I'm 27?".

And what are OP techniques? Stealth and backstab? I guess he should just charge the opponents face to face, maybe even send a /PM "Hey Turd! I'm coming out of stealth and killing you. Prepare!". And of course that wouldn't be idiotic - it would be fair. Attacking enemy while he's fighting mobs? Well of course you can't do that. That's just rude and blah blah blaa.

As long as there's people playing rogues - there's people who are getting owned by them. Only thing they can do is to whine how "He had no true skillz." to themselves while walking back to their corpse.

There is one thing in Rift's rogues though. Getting kills as a rogue is just way too easy since you can slash melee or shoot and run. There's literally no escape from a rogue's wrath.

Edit: OP why did you cut the part where you were fighting against the "u are so fcking bad"-Sylar in clip 2? I'm guessing that fight didn't end in your favor? :D

So, I was kinda bored on waiting for Rift's next play session, then fell asleep on my keyboard AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED!

I was so happy for a moment, then died and resurrected back into reality. :(

I'd love find more finnish players, since I'm kinda tired of playing with random heroes and spitting english into voip all the time. Just... As long as the guild has at least +18yrs requirement.
