There's no Mythos anymore, they jumped into Torchlight.

To OP,

So you managed to get someone's loot and when the guy said it's cool, you kept pushing and pushing and pushing? It's not like you are the cool guy here. To me it seems like you are just an annoying asshole, who eventually gets on everyones nerve.

I bet you spammed him lots of whiny PMs when he first killed you, but didn't bother to post those here?

I wish there'd be even one decent MMORPG to play. I'm just so bored with the current state of games.

Good luck to the next reviewer, hope it pleases the community.

Also, just as a side note for anyone reading who may not have been told this yet: Just saying that your game is innovative or ground breaking or any millions of other positive descriptors doesn't make it so.

Oh so true. It just get's ridiculous in some point when the gaming company's spokesman keeps throwing these sugar coated words to us in all his videos, blogs etc. Using few of the most used adjectives in your game presentation and press conference is a clear sign you don't actually have anything here. They are just words to fill your empty sentences.

Good show Jon!

My suggestion: wait for the NCSoft to fix the queue and bot issues. Those are the two main reasons this game isn't worth buying yet.

How much would you pay from an untouched metal box with dev team's signatures and soundtrack? Comes in a Fallen Earth branded messenger bag with a survivor T-shirt.

Well, if you like the design and don't have a problem with the price, then go for it. Saying "Don't buy Alienware cos they are so expensive" is like saying "Don't buy Mercedes, get a Lada. It has four wheels too."

Haha not true at all. When a Mercedes as has a different motor then a Lada or any other comparision. You get what you pay for, when buying an expensive car, except some is towards the name, but its a hell of alot better quality.

Buying an Alienware over another computer when you can build the same for easily $500-$1000 less, when using the exact same components, then again, not compareable to buying a car. Nice try though.

A clear sign you haven't obviously ever owned something like Alienware, Sager, Falcon? Ok it's cool. You know you get the components cheaper. That's about it. High end computers are so much more than just the CPU and GPU inside it.

Bioware made Neverwinter Nights, so they'll always have my heart. :D

Wow, pretty soon the gold farmers have to sell gold to each others. :D

I'll just bought Borderlands since I got it so cheap. I'll probably get Dragon Age too, somewhere in future, when it's slow on multiplayer game frontier.

It's just hard to get excited from single player games nowadays.

Played the FE game for 45 mins.  that is the 2nd game uninstalled in 4 days.

Seriously - 45 minutes is a joke. Uninstalling an MMO you paid money for without giving it a few tries first is ridiculous.

You must have money to burn.

It's not easy or enjoyable to play a game that isn't working properly from the start. Why force yourself?

I was in FE's alpha and beta and decided to skip the release versio since they couldn't hammer out these graphical issues OP is having. I encountered this problem too, when sometimes some graphics didn't load properly (Sometimes I had buildings and characters with a mix of high and low textures which really looked awkward.) - or didn't load at all (like invisible stuff, barrels, doors, walls, missing heads etc.)

Invisible horses, check, had also a problem in Embry where the sky sometimes suddenly turned into bright purplish blue. I knew that the client is about to crash in 1 minute. Even bugging these issues for 1,5 years didn't solve the problem, so don't get hostile protecting you favorite game, it's good but not perfect. People DO have some issues with it and the problems do exist.

Don't get me wrong, I really did like FE but it really wasn't in the state where I could enjoy the game without having to face these small annoyances.

Piivot, I know you are nerd enough to have tested the game with latests graphics drivers etc. so I'm not even going to give you any technical or hardware tips. The game seems to favor some systems more than others. Just put the game back into shelf and get back to it every now and then. I'm sure they'll get the graphics stuff fixed eventually. It's a good game after all, it deserves another try. :)

Excuse my french, but this is pure BS. Try the game at this stage, and THEN write about it. None of the issues you listed happened to me in the last 3 weeks.

And yeah, I was in the beta, and in the alpha as well.

DB

Yes, since you didn't have any issues with the game - no one has. Got it. Thank you for clearing this out.

Well, salvation is here!

Install STEAM. You can use Click and buy through that. I just added Fallen Earth into my shopping cart and it shows Click and Buy as a payment method... And PayPal, JCB, AMEX, Discover, Visa and Mastercard.

Edit, damn smellysocks beat me. :) Hope you get it working man!

Do you have Visa Electron? I use that mainly because I don't want a REAL credit card, it would only get me in trouble since I suck at taking care of my bank balance. :D But Visa Electron still acts like plain Visa card, (Not all bank's Visa Electron work like this, so you have to verify it from your bank. And I think there isn't even any requirements for Visa Electron - like normal credit cards require a steady income or a job.) so you can pay all your online purchases as long as you have some money on you account.

After you get the "take the test!" -email 3 times, it really starts to annoy you. Spam isn't really helping Funcom. But yeah, I'm Illuminati.. So secret society, that I can even mention it here on the forums. :D

I'm sure you know there are lots of games with a free PvP? EVE, Dorkfall, Jumpgate E, Vanguard...

Personally I have played more MMOs that are still in alpha or beta stage, than the released versions. It's some kind of sick hobby of mine, to actually like tracking down bugs or possible exploits and report them. And as a reward I get to play the game and still have a chance to affect on some of it's features.

And usually the community is pretty tight and very friendly during alpha or closed beta stages. That's the moment when the atmosphere in MMOs is still very enjoyable. That's the moment where Devs still listen to you and react if you have a great idea that makes the game even better. That's the moment where people still have the time to talk with each others. After launch, most people just exp exp exp and run around like headless chickens.

Usually I just lose my interest in most MMOs during the open beta or after launch. It's when the dark side of Internet roams in and the community IQ drops below zero. Chats get swarmed with ignorant questions "How do I attack? What key opens inventory?" etc. when every game has the options and key configs... The kill stealing starts, the "cool kids" swearing and spamming on every possible channel makes the chat unusable and people just start acting like complete assholes on every possible level.

Eew, no thanks. The game has to be really good to put with all that. I still like the betas more, but no, not so much I'd pay them. I think being a beta tester that does bug reports is enough.
