I am playing on Flurry and there is no lag in PvE. There is still the same old "I am loading a new area" stutter from the old times. For instance, if you round the corner in Mos Eisley headed toward the cantina, the game will reduce framerate as all of the players load into the cantina. It can get down to 1 - 2 fps in this process. This has always occurred, however.
In PvP, the lag is most noticeable. I have had the misfortune of playing on extremely laggy connections and the server has no trouble keeping up with the client if the ping is about 400ms. If the ping is 100ms or less, the server DOES NOT respond in a timely manner. I can easily run behind battles, drop all of my specials and be headed back to friendly lines before the server draws my position for the opposing side. How do I know this? Because all of the shots that people take at me when I appear to be behind their lines get displayed when I return to the friendly line. There is easily a HALF SECOND delay in medium sized combat. When the combat approaches 60-80 players, the lag can INCREASE up to 30 seconds for actions to be returned from the server. I have seen lag approach two minutes for an answer from the server on the high ping time connections. In some cases, the client will disconnect altogether in high calculation times (ie lots of specials and players in a small area). THERE IS a problem with lag. IT IS acknowledged by SOE. If you have not experienced it, then you must exclusively PvE or you are not very perceptive.
I Xfered from Lowca to Flurry as well and my ping was better (Lowca 120ms vs Flurry 90ms), more people but they're always in Restuss (obviously), I stopped going there after I checked it out the first day and I was getting that 30-2min delay when people were fighting.
