So if we bought the game we get nothing?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 11/17/12 6:31:32 PM
That's a healer operative, the only way to play an operative after the nerfs. I'm left handed so I put the keypad to its best use as well as the 6 buttons above the arrow keys. That layout I use is identical in every MMO game I play with multiple rows like that (Aion, WoW, etc) and I place stun, interrupt, heal in the same locations. |

Why is Everyone who purchased the game, so upset with FTP?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 11/17/12 6:21:20 PM
Jimmy, of those 25 MMO's has any of them gone F2P? If so, then you know how F2P models work, and you'll be shocked at SWTOR's F2P- it's in a league of its own and you won't like it for very long.
- you have to sub to redeem the "awarded" cartel coins that you earned from the amount of monthly subs you paid.

That's from my pyro merc, ctrl+5 is always interrupt on all my toons but merc/trooper didn't have an interrupt before 1.4 and holo cubes are supposed to be in the Fkeys but they disappear on each login. Point out which abilities are useless in the bottom 2 rows so I can fit all the reactive abilities that are binded to my mouse. |

I have 5 level 50's, all of them had all 4 rows filled. 2 rows obviously with abilities, 1 row of buffs, vehicle, fleet pass, and a couple quick abilities (like alternative heal), and last row with mouse binds for shield, force run or similar, things I can react quickly with and consumables and stances (with certain classes).

Worth coming back? Can someone point out the "new" stuff ?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 11/16/12 10:20:25 AM
So far no one in my guild is the least bit interested in going back to SWTOR, the F2P stuff has put off many people. We got a full guild bank (3-4 tabs?) and you either have to pay 600 CC or sub to access it, not very helpful for our guild. Our guild leader for SWTOR is the biggest Star Wars fan I know and he is so put off by SWTOR now, he cancelled his sub over a month ago because no one in the guild was on anymore, so he has 3K+ CC waiting for him and he can't even access our guild bank nor do anything useful in the game unless he resubs again to get the 3K+ CC. |

LOL reminds me of a commercial in the mid 70's, Ford advertising the Pinto but it was in a dull blue color and wasn't attractive looking at all. And the Pinto lived up to its ad, it was a piece of shit. |

Some of the prices in that list are a bit steep, I'll probably dump it all on quickbar unlocks and be done with it, if I guess right I'll have 1350 cartel coins.

I don't like this, I've played a handful of MMO's with a gear treadmill and I'm through with that and GW2 is where I can just play and have fun without dumping hours per night into the game.

For those who quit: Would you ever play a cosmetic gear only game again?
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 11/12/12 1:58:23 PM
After years of playing MMO games, I'm done with gear progression based games, I'm not going to sit for 6 hours to do raids so I can get a chance in looting a neato chestpiece.

SOE disabled 3rd person in PS2 because in PS1 people stood around corners in 3rd person watching around the corner and ambushing you. Certain people like TyzaL, XFactor and many others abused this (they've been at the top of the leaderboards for years). |

PVP with lv 50 = impossibru
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 11/12/12 8:13:05 AM
The whole thing with what Bioware has done is a stupid joke, they ditched Centurion which was very viable (all my cent gear had +power stat changed to +defense, which was completely useless on my operative) and they changed the bags too many times then did away with them and then added War Hero. The biggest one was when they released a patch where you can create augment slots from crafted items and BM/WH crafted gear came out where people rushed to get all those crafted with all augmented out and then the VERY NEXT PATCH they released an augment kit that can aug any gear you want- kind of a punch in the face for those that wasted time crafting BM/WH gear. This sort of thing is what Bioware intentionally does.

You're kidding right? Recruit gear is TERRIBLE, but yes you have to buy it if you want to get into pvp, people will bash you for not wearing any gear with +expertise if you don't. Recruit doesn't help you because you only get 13K health and can still die to a single rage smash.

Main reason why SWTOR flopped?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 11/11/12 7:21:24 PM
Are you referring to SWG or SWTOR? I remember participating large fights and not experiencing any lag, look up "Lost battle of Lok" from Lowca circa August 2004, best pvp event I've ever been in. SWTOR could barely hold 25-30 people, Ilum proved that. |
