If they had titled it with WoW in the title, I would not have been able to tell that it wasn't WoW and it was actually WAR. |

AoC will not look as good as Crysis, I think it will be quite some time before a game is released with graphics even on par with Crysis. AoC still looks great though, watch some videos, www.stage6.com has alot of decent quality AoC videos to watch. |

An AoC beta key Christmas giveaway thing would be awesome, I wouldn't mind my chances of getting into beta being risen for a small amount of time. |

Originally posted by Qaze Yes it will work with your DX9 setup, you don't need DX10, but it's there if you choose to use it.
I'm not quite sure I'm glad to hear this about AOC.... I was sort of hoping for a greater challenge in AOC than WOW.... or they'd better have a terrific end game planned.... And I find quest based games, while great for solo play, don't do a lot to foster the community..... (at least in WOW/LoTRO they seemed to hinder it quite a bit) Sorry, that must have come out a bit wrong, it will be just as easy to solo as it is to group all the way to level 80, I don't know the actual difficulty of leveling to 80.

Wait for AoC, it's coming out in March 2008 but the wait will be well worth it. The graphics are awesome and when released it will make use of your DX10 video card, if you have one. The dev's have said that there will be no grinding to reach the level cap (80) and you will always have a quest to get you there, on top of the fact that soloing all the way to level 80, if you choose to do so, shouldn't be difficult at all. Perfect World gets to be a complete grindfest after level 35 or so. |

AoC Video - Best MMO to Date... whoa...(6mins)

Originally posted by DeaconX I can't agree with you more. AoC is going to be ridiculously awesome. And yes, WAR is crap compared to, well, pretty much everything, especially this. I just pray they don't push back the release date again. |

Originally posted by briansommersCheck out Tabula Rasa, it's coming out pretty soon and seems kind of like something you might be interested in. Maybe Anarchy Online, but that's a little old. Maybe even the Matrix Online. I'm personally looking forward to Age of Conan, it doesn't really have anything to do with sci-fi. I don't know of any undercover spy type MMORPG's really. I would recommend looking into Tabula Rasa or Age of Conan(even though it's not your type). |

Originally posted by HEYuSHOOSH There isn't much endgame. Overall it's pretty cool if you find a cool guild to run with, but without one it would be dull. There is a type of PvP called PvMP(player versus monster player) but it seems like Turbine is having a bit of trouble balancing this and making it fun for both sides, on top of the constant zerg from either side. There is currently one moderatly hard raid, but once you know what to do it's pretty much cake provided you have the right people. At the end of this month another patch will be released including a new 12 man raid, and player housing, which I have tried on Roheryn(the public test server) and it is all pretty good stuff. There's little to no diversity in builds because each class is only good at one thing, no matter what stats you build up or gear you have. A Minstrel will always be a healer, a Guardian will always be a tank, a Lore-Master will always be crowd control, along with the fact that there seems to be only one good set of gear per class at this point. |

It's overall a really fun game. There's alot of diversity in weapons, and build styles which is nice. Instances are pretty dull it seems until the last boss which is exciting and the loot is pretty good. The quests are repetitive "go kill x amount of y," but that doesn't make this game bad by far. The map is fairly large. There's alot of different mounts which is also cool. Open world PvP starts at level 30, and you can just go PK someone out of a safe zone (towns, etc). The English translation at this point in time isn't great, but Cubizone does have English speaking people (people that speak English as their first language)editing out the rough translation. It is pretty bug free, and is overall worth the download by far, this game will keep you occupied for awhile. |
