At least the CCP guys have a sense of humour. when they add little side notes to the patches in the readme and other little things in game.. On a side note, besides the new graphics upgrade to DX10, were they not talking about also adding new effects to the engine for DX9 users? The game still looks great after 4 years. |

I am currently in a NPC corp, awaiting the application to go through in a friends split off corp from our old one. Can't wait for Rev III to come out. |

Star Wars Galaxies: Chapter 7 Producer's Note

Why even bother adding chapters anymore? I used to play on Bria (up until middle of sept.) The servers are empty..I am lucky to find people in the Cantina, let alone anywhere else, space, starports, restuss. Who are they making content for? I think the devs in SOE need to take a giant step out of LA LA Land and realize SWG is Borked. Let it die, pass the license to a game developer who can breathe some life into this great franchise. All they are doing is delaying the inevitable. I would not be surprised if by middle of 2008 the game will go into the great MMORPG heaven unless they Bring back pre nge and CU which i doubt will happen, or they radically change the fundemental game elements. Seeing how its pushing out the next chapter and then hammering away at the bugs is a never ending cycle, i doubt to see any "Great" changes to the game to make it any better. I remember when i first got the game and i ran on a Athlon XP 1800 a gig of Ram and a Radeon 9800 just fine, and now this thing Chugs along on my New Desktop... Broken...broken...broken... |

I've played SWG on and off since Aug of 2003. I just finished with the 21 Day Veterans program and my toon is on Bria atm, server population is still very very low, and finding a similar lvl group or individual is quite hard (Im a lvl 51 Jedi). After 21 days i decided that re-subbing is not worthwhile considering the low Server population and that i would have to pay to go to a more populated server. Alas the game has turned for the better since NGE but i think SOE is way past the point of no return with this title, im hoping the franchise will get some new life breathed into it soon, albeit another game or another developer takes over. |

Eve is a very complex game, i started playing in October of 2004, back then the tutorial was unforgiving and confusing, i had no clue to what i was doing. But i persisted, and three years later i am still around, granted i have taken a half-year haitous in between but i always manage to come back. There is nothing more exciting then the rush of the game, let it be trying to escape a gate camp and warp bubble in a shuttle or hauler, or ambushing a convoy in low sec space only to have reinforcements warp in and warp scramble you as you try to flee. This game takes a lot of patience to get into and is very detailed when it comes down to equipment and outfitting, after 3 years only now do i grasp the concepts of optimal range for weapons, ammo types and how they affect dmg, equiping modules and how it affects ship performance, this game has a lot to offer to somone who is willing to be patient and willing to learn. But the greatest strength is the community of players and corporation support, i play with a dedicated group of people and most of us have been around for a few years and Eve, and we still recruit and play with new people and pass on our knowledge of the game. |
