Asheron's Call: 10th Anniversary Celebration!
News Discussion « General Discussion 11/02/09 5:48:03 PM
Happy 10th Birthday to my first (and I still think most fun) MMORPG! Now pull the plug and bring forth Asheron's Call 3. |

My feelings as well. FE does not deserve about a 6.9 rating no matter who is doing the review. |

I think Mediocre sums FE quite good. |

Turbine really needs to do a REAL sequel to Asheron's Call. AC2 was not worthy of the Asheron's Call name. I still feel it was just a tech demo for Turbine that helped them procure rights to DnD and LOTR. I also think it is fair to call Champions Online a sequel to City of Heroes/Villians...because that is what it is. Same goes for WAR and DAOC. I am surprised SW:TOR wasn't discussed because it really is a done-right-this-time sequel (prequel acutally) to SWG. |

Poll: What type of MMO are you looking for?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 8/31/09 9:01:27 AM
Open RVR game world. No safe zones. Able to level through PvE and/or PvP. A new interesting theme. I am tired of the same old fantasy setting.
Too be honest I really am still holding out for a well-done Deadlands or Weird West MMORPG. After the let downs AoC and WAR were I have not cared about a single new MMORPG coming out. Champions Online? I played and liked it the first time around when it was called City of Heroes. Aion? EQ with Asian graphics and flair? No, thanks. Fallen Earth? Good premise but terrible implementation. Mortal Online? I sadly think this is going to turn out to be the next Darkfall. |

That was my thought as well. I wish it wasn't the case but all I saw was a WoW Warrior with a Lightsaber...which even that isn't all that special seeing you can make your sword glow red in WoW too. |

Dungeons & Dragons Online: Turbine Sues Atari Over DDO

It's not hard at all to side with Turbine on this one. I am pretty sure Atari is guilty as charged. |

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Set for 2010 Launch

Just like the others are saying Blizzard will release it just prior or a week or so after SW:TOR is launched. |

General: Turbine Raises $6.6M in Funding
News Discussion « General Discussion 8/12/09 8:10:18 PM
While AC2 was one of the biggest disappointments to me ever in gaming history, AC1 is still the most fun MMORPG I've played. And while DDO wasn't/isn't for me, LOTRO was/is a solid MMORPG and one I chose not to play only because it lacked "real" PvP. I am glad to see Turbine is still doing well and working on new projects. Though please don't let it be a freakin' Harry Potter game. |

Outrageous... $75 for the normal version? $115 for full-loot version? Obama... I need a bailout!

MO is just going to be a more expensive Darkfail. A shame too. |

Faith in Cryptic after Champions Online cash shop model?
General Discussion « Star Trek Online 7/16/09 10:11:13 PM
It's too bad they made that decision as I will now not being buying Champions Online and it does in fact make me question if I should even bother following STO just to have them do the same. |

Asherons's Call 2! F2P (Free 2 Play)...

Funcom: AoC will last longer than Anarchy Online

Not hardly. Sadly besides WoW I don't see any MMORPG released in the past couple years having the longevity of earlier MMORPGs. |

Seriously? There goes all hope of SW:TOR being worth playing. You would think after the flop WAR was that Bioware would be smarter than this. |

The Chronicles of Spellborn: Spellborn Works Bankrupt, TCoS Going F2P
News Discussion « General Discussion 6/30/09 1:18:45 PM
It's too bad. TCoS was a breath of fresh air. I have to agree with others it is the fault of the SiL for the piss poor way they handled the games publishing. I am sure POS Acclaim is celebrating though since now they can transform TCoS into one of other POS micro-transaction games. |

Champions Online: Champions Release Date Pushed Back
News Discussion « General Discussion 5/18/09 9:19:08 AM
Seriously when was the last time a major MMORPG was released on it's original announced release date? I can't remember one. Developers need to just start announcing dates with at least a year longer then they expect. That way a game can be launched on time or be a big surprise and be released "early". |
