Do you think Obama will now govern differently from how he campaigned he was going to govern?

Some liberals looked at his senate votes as an indication of how he would act as president. He never campaigned to govern as he voted in the senate. It's a different job and requires a different focus. I'm not sure why people can't understand that a politician can acknowledge all of the populace when they make decisions. The president doesn't represent one political faction, so it's unrealistic to expect a president to cater to only one group.

The people who wanted a far left president took him because he was the only liberal choice. Anyone who thought he would enact a liberal agenda missed the memo.

I'm not bothered at all. I voted for him because I think he has the better judgment. I think he will take all views into consideration, and all advice under careful scrutiny, which is exactly what we need.

Stages of grief:

  1. Denial
  2. Anger
  3. Bargaining
  4. Depression
  5. Acceptance

I'd list that campaign under the bargaining banner. You are moving along quicker than I expected. Then again, it could still be denial, in which case, you have a long way to go.

I think Texas and Texas Tech would both beat USC.

Then again, I have no leverage for making predictions

OU was impressive. I'd really like to see them play Florida. That would be the most competative championshp in my opinion. Of course, there's still a couple of games left before we can print the game programs, and we still may have to let the computers decide who the best team is.

Oklahoma State Baylor Texas A&M Kansas
Oklahoma 61-41 49-17 66-28 45-31
Texas 28-24 45-21 49-9 35-7
Texas Tech 56-20 35-28 43-25 63-21

A couple of notes:

  • Texas played Missouri earlier in the season, which gives them an extra ranked opponent
  • Oklahoma and Tech both played Nebraska (which probably would have been a top 20 team without their loss to VaTech)
  • Both games between OU/UT and Tech/UT were close, but OU dismantled Tech

Texas Tech is out of the running. The decision will be between Texas and Oklahoma, which makes things a little more convoluted. I would say that Oklahoma has the advantage, seeing as they just ripped apart the number 2 team in the country, and they still have a ranked opponent left to play (big games late in the season are worth more points).

With that said, don't be surprised if they give the spot to Texas since they did have Mizzou on the schedule.

I've been testing Runes of Magic for about a week and I have to say, it's the most impressive F2P that I've experienced. There's still some work to be done, but it's the only F2P MMO, that I've played, that isn't laced with reminders of why there's no subscription fee.

If you are into the fantasy genre, you should definitely check it out.

Well, I wouldn't kick her out of bed.

Personally, I'd rather spend some quality time with Kat Von D.

That depends on whether you still like it now. If you do, then yes, you should be embarrassed. I won't hold your passed transgressions against you though.

Here's another one I'm a little ashamed of.

I agree, I don't think the SEC championship will even be close.

This OU / Tech matchup should be dramatic. I think Tech will pull it out, but they better be ready to play four full quarters. I'm not quite sure what it would take to get Harrell out of his rhythm. I think the only operson that may know is Stoops. We shall see.

I've never received a ticket when I was driving alone.

Every time I've been pulled over with passengers, I've been ticketed.

I think cops are much more lenient when there are no witnesses.

Are you trying to defend the defenders or bash the bashers? I can't tell.

Wait, are you trying to defend the bashers? Surely you aren't bashing the defenders. . ? Your allegiance is unclear.

Hold on here! You're bashing both defenders and bashers. What kind of sense does that make? You just eleiminated 90% of the forum posters. You should be banned for such a rediculous idea.

Yea. The first one is The Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up, the second is Korn - Freak On a Leash.

And of course, awesome music video.  They just don't make them like they used to.

Yea, I saw it on MTV once (unedited version) and my jaw hit the floor. I think they caught some heat over it.

Another great video.

Do you actually believe a society could reach that level of technology without destroying itself in the process?

Perhaps they are built on a far different model than Earth.

Assuming it's possible, I'd say the only way we could accept foreign life forms would be if we disccovered them and were able to study them extensivly before the general public was alerted.

The thought of an impromptu meeting between a human and an alien is quite funny for me to entertain, though, even if it were me (maybe moreso).

That's the big "IF". I'd love to see the Hero's Journey concept make it to market. However, the longer it goes without press, the more certain I am that it's only a platform for selling engine licensing (albeit a very successful platform).

Really, I couldn't balme them for not taking a plunge, considering the investment required to make a contender in the MMO market. My hopes were once high, but fading fast. At least I do have SW:TOR to look forward to. The HeroEngine might be as close to Hero's Journey as we ever get.

Crunch the numbers. Take the added interest over the months you would finance and see if it's larger than the difference in the down payment you could save over the next 6 weeks. Should be easy to see which way you come out better.

Of course, the best option is to keep the Saturn until you can pay cash for a new car (if it's not nickel and diming you in steady maintenance).
