Don't feel bad for them. They are making this game to make $$. There is no passion involved like in some others. They give a *#*$% about you, they only care about your money. Don't you dare shed a tear for them.

My guess, and hope, from the beginning was that this would one day be the case. I could see it happening, but then I could see it not happening. Depends on the road they take. I myself have all but left the game at the moment due to a broken game and a less than stellar patch.

The problem that I see is it took a released game 2 months to have even just a few GMs and to fix some problems, after it had been out a year. I don't want to play a game that I have to wait 3 to 6 months for problems to be fixed every time because it's all done in Korea by a company who cares more about their Korean version. I don't want to see a major problem arise down the road and it never gets fixed. I mean 2 months without GMs? Give me a break.

The game is done, has bled subs, and will have a mediocre based of subs for the mediocre company who cares about $$. Move along, nothing to see here.

Slow,but not horrible. Somewhere in betwen WAR and Lotro. Definitely not as responsive or fast paced as WoW or EQ2.

Lot of face rolling in the end. Definitely not a technical in regards to abilities as WoW or EQ2. I'm not a WoW fanboy, just being honest.

They are ok. Better than most of the MMOs that have come out in the last year or two, but nothing to write home about. Definitely doesn't have deep customization. Pretty cookie cutter, but that could change over time.

 

WoW is AAA in all these categories, that's why it has by far the most exiting PvP gameplay, of all the MMOs I've tried that is, but I tried many.

I think you will find, Rondo, that in any game (and I am only just starting tonight) that the # of cheaters is usually far less than the normal players, and eventually they get caught, bored or alienated.

The only game this doesn't hold true in atm is Aion.

I am utterly convinved whoever reviewed it didn't get past level 15.

Wow (again, just being honest) is a much more polished game. Don't give me the being out 5 years thing, it should still have a higher rating than this Aion garbage, good game or not. Aion has been out a year. Anyway, sorry for the rant, just pointing out that reviews on this site don't mean much, because they have a comparison criteria that is flawed.

This game is getting the hits LEGITIMATELY, because there is a vacuum right now. Why? Because I came back to it and started clicking, and so did all the other "I just bought it" people.

Aion is sucking hard and bleeding subs, even with the new patch. AOC is a great game now, but too little too late and no one in minigames. WoW is a kidfest now with Mr T grenades (but still has the best raiding), EQ2 is a great game, but the changes are two years too late, and Lotro has its crowd. The rest old or mediocre.

This is the game everyone shied from at first or didn't try and it's the closest thing to UO. And no, I don't play it yet, so you can't call me a fan boy. Fact is, the hits are legit cause everything else is boring or sucking atm.

You will ALWAYS have a revival in an MMO when a new one comes out, sucks and bleeds subs. You can look at all past releases and see this. That is why all of the mmos have free come back to me promos right now. You think that timing is just coincidence, and it's coincidence they are all doing it? They are trying to scoop up or get back disenfranchised Aion people.

Careful talking about this. MMORPG.com isn't getting their chunk of change, so you can't talk about it or link it. It's amazing how many people use this site, when this site is just amount raking in $$

Umm... last I checked, this was in beta.

I am in the MMO business and have heard nothing. Unless this person can provide documentation or links of this supposed proof (which sounds shoddy), I would guess that they are someone who was already praying for the doom of Warhammer some time ago, and they are merely trying to make themselves feel better by proclaiming the death of Mythic. I don't even play Warhammer, though I've started the T1 lately, so I am not a Mythic fan boy. I can only say that none of this makes sense from an MMO business standpoint, especially without backup.

I couldn't agree with you more. That and the world wasn't populated, but it is a closed beta, that will come. The #1 thing that I saw wrong with the game is that it was a grind. Similar to Aion, and people are bleeding out of that game.

I was going to pick up Darkfall, but now that I know guys who worship Gary Numan are running around in there, I'm not so sure.

Does anyone have any information on what is coming in the next update? I plan on doing a review at www.angryguildleader.com and on the blogs here at mmorpg.com

My expectations were very low.

They have been exceeded greatly.

While I will not say this is the best MMO I've ever played, to me it's like Runes of Magic but with a better story and setting. More Sci-fi. ROM is just a wow clone, this is a wow clone with a twist.

I suggest trying it when you can and it gets released.

My only complaints are the mobs are a bitch to kill and the server is unstable. Otherwise, so far for the little I've played, I am VERY impressed.

The beta keys handed out are useless, as you can't even log into the game. States the population is low,but the server is full.
