Hello, its time to get a new PC and I have it narrowed down to 2 pretty much. The one I have now I built in 08' and just want to buy one this time pre-built. Can some of you guys that know more than me help me out? Between these 2 which one would be best (will be playing Guild Wars 2 mostly)? They both have the same basic processor I want and extra RAM slots to upgrade later and similar graphics. Thanks for the help.

Just play Mortal Online, it has all those things plus food and sleep. |

I think the problem is that the OP is talking about tactics and others are talking about strategy. Altough the OP is being anal about it he is technically right, from a certain point of view.
"1. In military usage, a distinction is made between strategy and tactics. Strategy is the utilization, during both peace and war, of all of a nation's forces, through large-scale, long-range planning and development, to ensure security or victory. Tactics deals with the use and deployment of troops in actual combat. "

Daniel Erickson: Closed beta maybe, No open Beta!
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 7/13/11 11:22:02 PM
Also playing the game with the way the story is set up kinda ruins it. It would be best to start fresh and not play throu and have to have ur char deleted and re-created to do the same story. Although u can just play Jedi if at launch u plan on playing Agent persay. They can get the testing/bugs straight with a smaller group since open betas are basically free previews as a few people have said. |

This was the game I was waiting on as a long time Marvel comics reader and MMORPGer. Started comicing out with CoH and loved it, tried the Marvel turned CO and it was horrible. Glad they dropped Cryptic, altough at least we would have had our own chars in it lol. DCUO isnt quite there for the MMO thing and now the game Ive been wanting turns out to be a F2P browser game with 200 Caps running around doing the same thing I am as Cap, lame. At least the story may be good enough to play it free for a bit. I'm not getting my hopes up at all thou. I saw about a year ago or more on Gazillion's site that you would be "able to play as your favorite Marvel chars" even then I knew this was going to be bad. |

DC Universe Online: Let's Hear from YOU

The game is simply awesome. Takes abit of getting used to the controls coming from CoH and other MMOs. Once u do it feels good and smooth, I'm starting to prefer it to other MMO control set-ups. The enviroments are incredibly sweet and detailed like u stepped into a comic. The combat is fast and fun, I like the combos and occasional use of powers set-up. All in all when it is released I will be there the first day. With the way powers/speacials/combos/movement powers are done u can create ur hero/villian lots and lots of differnent ways, enough to make me happy and I'm a long time comic reader and CoH player.
EDIT: I'd also like to add I am playing with a mouse/keyboard and like it. Never used a controller. |

DCUO looks like the best MMO in years and I love comics. Definite pre-order from me. |

Thats one reason i never really like Superman or DC for that matter. The Marvel version of Superman is the Sentry but to tame him a bit instead of kryptonite they made him bat shit insane and it works better. Despite my Marvel preference ima still play DCUO thou. |

Originally posted by Khalathwyr Your video card is the issue, I'd bet. With nvidia cards it's not so much the first number in the series (in this case 8500) as it is the second number (8500). I had heard this a few years ago. One of my friends started playing FE with an 8400 card and experienced some issues. He upgraded to a 9800 and no longer had them. Heck, my wife's machine runs a 7950 GT KO and she doesn't experience the issues you talk about. Not even once. Of the old nVidia line of cards I never bought anything that was X500 or lower. If you have a friend with an nVidia that is X600 or higher see if you can swap them out to test the game. You should see a marked difference.
Yea i do really need to update my card, this one came with my PC and i had planned to update it but never got around to it, thanks. |

Originally posted by maskedweasel Oh yea, i /bugged it in closed beta all the times i fell throu the floor. its probably fixed by now then. Update us and let us know!
If i can get it DLed before the 15 free days run out, lol. I think i will really like this game if i can ever play it. |

Originally posted by maskedweasel When I played through my first time and got to the junk fortress, it magically wasn't there. When I went to where it should be I fell through the world a bunch of times, and i have an 8800 gts. I put in a /bug report after it happening 3 or 4 times to me in a 3 day span, sent in screen shots and the crash file, and a day later I got an e-mail message saying the problem was resolved. Sure enough I went back and was able to go into the junk fortress without relogging or anything.
Moral of the story. If you have a problem like that /bug it and they'll fix it fairly quickly. Oh yea, i /bugged it in closed beta all the times i fell throu the floor. |

Im having the same kinda problems, basically the same ones i had when i was in closed beta for FE. I was setting FE out after the horrible closed beta experience i had, but i want to like it and the free trial sucked me in. First off i started DLing FE SUN and its still not half-way finished, same as beta where it took almost a week and a half to finish the DL after many many attempts and it would just stop. Then i never got outta the tutorial because i would always fall down under the elevator and /unstick or what ever it was just brought me back to the beginning and then back down the elevator, hehe. After 4 or 5 chars created and deleted and multiple falling throu the gameworld and freezes i gave up. I play SWG, CoH, LotRO and CO on and off the last 5 years and havent had any problems and have a new PC with lasted drivers and updates. I have a AMD 64 x2 5000+ with 4 gigs of RAM and 8500 Nvidia w/ cable modem so i would think FE should run as smooth as the other MMOs i play. If i can get FE DLed before the 15 days run out ima still try it again and hopefully the falling throu gameworld/floor will be fixed. |

I feel pretty much the same way as most of u. I played in closed beta and liked the game but there was just something missing. No villains, no world PvP and no real end-game content. So i didnt buy the game and was goin to set it out, then i found a copy of CO on ebay for like $16, so i bought it and tried again. This time i was really happy with CO at first and went throu the same cycle, loved it, thought it was a sweet game then got tired of it after a couple weeks. Just not enought non-combat stuff to do maby. It is a good game with fun combat, but i am just looking for something more outta a superhero MMO i guess. |
