I think i just threw up a little bit, if Blizzard's next MMO going to be more casual then WoW....................................... yea i threw up. War 40k > SC anyways, hopefully THQ doesn't screw up with the 40k mmo, but they more then likely will. I like to see a Diablo MMORPG, with all out action combat, but that will never happen. |

New MMO To add to next years list
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 11/12/10 5:17:37 AM
Yea, that certainly brings it back.. to when i played PSO on the Dreamcast. It was the very first online game i ever played, and while it was basic as dungeon crawlers could get. I still had load's of fun with it, up to Episode 1 and 2 for the gamecube.. which is still my favorite (except the double save bullshit ughh). PSU was ok.. but i have to agree with club.. it was a kick in the ball's. Hopefully they can go back to the golden day's with PSO 2, its on my radar.... but I'm not going to get my hopes up though. |

Some of those games only got better, because they were given time to get better...... hard concept to follow i know. |

Was that a good thing now a day's.. no but im not about piss moan and bitch about... till i see SE actual takes the step of NOT making a effort. Then laugh my ass off when the drones here, piss moan and bitch... because they forgot how it use to be like. |

Originally posted by eyeswideopen The first few years of FFXI was not pretty, it took them two years.. to really get the game as good as it got. How people expect everything should be handed to them right away with a fucking MMORPG is absurb. If people don't have time to wait around anymore... they honestly should find a new goddamn hobby. Blame does go to SE, but honestly expecting everything should be a-ok and fine at launch is a load of bs..... and is our goddamn problem. And saying we have no blame in any of this, is a wuss ass cop out. |

Originally posted by Alders Funny thing is if SE was releasing FFXI day one right now... people would be saying the same damn thing right now. How flawed the combat, mechanics, and general fun of the game is. People in the western markets were spoiled with the release of FFXI, as that game was worthless as worthless when it came out in Japan. People expect way to much now a day's, when not to long ago... most of everyone was lot more forgiving, and willing to give it time. It's sad, MMORPG's have grown to big for their own good. Media outlets that surround them, and the bigger spoiled brats the MMO consumer base has now... don't help matters at all. Cause if people think this supposed train wreck of bad MMO's is going to stop some day... they will be sadly dissapointed time and time again. |

Then SE just need to hang their head in shame for a very long time. Setting goal's that high in the MMO world now a day's is just as bad as punching yourself in the family jewels for the hell of it. Especially releasing the current state piece of worthlessness, known as FFXIV. |

I just find it a bit amusing, FFXI went through the same bs when it first came out in Japan. Game was actually worthless, with not much to do. Then after time it got a lot better, it came out to the western market with Rise of the Zilart and lot more polish. Which l kinda wish they pulled the same stunt with FFXIV. But that was then, and this is now... with a consumer base that's a lot less forgiving, and a lot more fucking spoiled. I'm not taking SE's side at all, they knew damn well they shouldn't have released a 2nd MMO... in the state it was. Though i will give them the benefit of the doubt they will indeed get things back in order with FFXIV, just because how FFXI was handled. Now there is a chance they won't, but for me until i see they won't make the effort to advance.. then thats when I'll say this game is a sinking ship. However for now, i still think SE will get things turned around with time. |

Oh god, back in my days with FFXI. I was part of a good guild, got to know them quite well. Then apparently one of the guy's wife in the guild decided to take a liking to me. Then talk to me about a bunch of random shit, then she went off about how her husband beats the crap out of her, and chokes her... just straight out treats her like crap. I said ummm maybe you should leave him???????!:????????????!??????????? EH????????!???????? She told me she couldn't because, he said he would kill himself (who cares???)... if she did. And she couldn't live with her self.. if he actually did.
I was like okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk you have fun with that... BYE!!! lmao, oh my.. i don't get that, but that creeped me the f out. |

They totally screwed the pooch with TR. For me anyway's it never felt epic, it ended up feeling pretty much any other game out there... with a lot less to do. Was it so hard, or wrong... to actually put raid's in the game, that are not your typical raid bs. I thought it would been so fricken cool, if a truck ton of AFS vs truck ton of Banes....in a huge battle raid on a huge map... to battle for bases, resources (which could've helped in many ways.. ammo, stuff for a better crafting system, actually supply bases with materials could've needed made better or repaired, weapons, armor... or load of other shit they could've added), and strategic battle locations. Totally dynamic random.... PEW PEW WAR fest..... nope all we got is hardly ever seeing a another player, scripted short lived battles, and asshats... that were more busy making TR's chat channel look worse then WoW's trade chat, then actually play the game. Game felt all to small and linear, crafting was craptastic, and the game offered no fricken content.... it's deserves what it got. I actually loved the idea of the game, had a decent time with it for a lil bit, but Richard Garriott proved... he's just a one trick pony that couldn't pull it off and TR was one of the biggest slap's in the face... in MMO history in my eyes, because it could've been epic. |

I want Jeff Hickman to apologize!
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 8/14/10 4:32:01 AM
You have a better chance of seeing a pig fly, then get a apology from Hickman. As someone else said, it's time to get over it. He was simply doing something he loved, and was in it to make money. You think he was going to say "Well see thing is.. the game is nowhere near being done. It's a complete utter turd, that need's a couple more years in the oven. But we wasted all our money.., and need to release this piece of shit w/ half ass game mechanics soon as possible, so we don't piss off our overlords EA. So if its a piece of shit MMORPG that you want, WE GOT IT!" |

Originally posted by twstdstrange I gave a general answer... to a pretty general question. It really doesn't matter what class it really is, if it looks intresting enough to someone. It will bring in all walk's of life... to the really good, to the decent, and to the right down terrible. Just because you had a bad time with Hunters. Doesn't mean everyone else is, and like i said I've met plenty more dumb people.. who want to play Warriors, and BROSTORM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it up. You can't simply just point the finger, at one type of class, and say they bring in the biggest group of idiots. When i played Warhammer for example, some of the best players i knew where Squig Herders, or Shadow Warriors... that are the Hunter/Ranger classes. Some of the worst players I've come across that game, were Chosen/Knights, Witch Hunters/Witch Elfs, Choppas/Slayers. Same time I also knew plenty of good Chosen/Knights etc etc, and came across bad Squig's, and Shadow Warriors. |
