Best thing for you to first do if decide what it was that you liked about WoW, then take note of what it is about WoW that your unhappy with. Once you get those two, finding a game doesnt seem as daunting. I think the biggest decision for any MMO player is to decide if you like PvP or PVE most. I wrote an article on how to find a new MMO HERE Hope this helps |

Well, as we all grind up in AoC and work our way through the mid to upper levels, one of the biggest annoyances players talk to me about is travel time. This is certainly not unique to AoC, it is often complained about in most MMOs, even in ones where travel is almost too easy (WoW). However, players are an ingenious lot, and it didnt take long for us to find a way around without using our walking shoes. As such death porting has become a common practice. NOw, I am not some MMO purist who feels that "Death should only have negative consequences and should be sought after for primary gain" (although one could make that argument). I am wondering what alternatives we could develope to the death port. Any Other ideas? |

I would also add that the succesful patches only continues a trend that began weeks before AoCs release. FunCom has been going full steam in ironing out issues with this game. I expect this kind of effort to continue for some time. |

I agree with Kyler,
However a HoX may be something you should try in AoC |

I believe that takeing a small break from AoC is a much smarter play than screaming "I quit!" and canceling in the heat of the moment. Fact is this is exactly how I experienced WoW when it first came out and players were lagging into lava trenches in Ironforge. A lot of my friends quit WoW only to return later. I expect the same issues will come about with WAR soon after its release Take a break, Cool off, Give it time, it will come around and be a solid game

I like being able to pass waypoint files to one another. brings people together to help one another. But in the aspect of the game where the nodes are in short supply, yes it compounds the issue |

I like to believe that so long as there is the ability to have significant amounts of Roleplay in a game, they can use the term MMORPG. It may not be prevolant, but there are significant clusters of roleplayers on all these games (WoW, AoC, lotro, etc) |

I honestly believe MMOs have been tame, and were lagging a far distance behind the Console games. It seems that they are only now catching up. Even with AoC I still believe there is a long way to go

Thanks guys. Yea, I speculated in the article about the high competition and the rare drops/gems rate need to be upped. I think a lot can be fixed by increasing the resource node recovery time |

I dont know if its the best character customization...COX players may dispute this. However, it certainly draws you in as soon as you start up the game. When I wrote my review, I noted the Immersion was the strongest aspect of AoC |

After running Tortage 4 times each archetype class for the Tortage Walkthrough, I can tell ya, it can get a bit tiresome for Tortage run #5. I know that a lot of players would certainly want to know if there was a way to leave tortage before lev 19/20. If there is a way to leave (Legally), then I'd put it in the article. |

I thought the smuggler wasnt useable before Lev 19. What level can you use the Smuggler at? Is there a bug that allows Smugglers to be used by low lev charS? |

HOwever, I will say that the hottest topic of discussion is about AoC ..this will fade with time Im sure. I dont mind AoC discussions here any more than I mind looking for MMO discussions that are not posted on the LFGame board. |
