Imagine if some of these games were put out before internet and patching was available. It seem as though developers use patching as a crutch, basically ah screw it will fix it latter, just get it realeased.

Or even worse, lets not realease the whole game and then charge for the rest of the game as a download content.

Ultimatley I feel it will go F2P as other MMO's in the past have shown that its more lucrative to do so unless you hold a huge subscription base, which I'm not sure this game will do in the long haul. I think one of the test to see how you feel about a game is your eagerness to reroll another character, and after going threw the game to 50 once I have no desire to reroll and do it over again anytime soon.

Pros to me,  Companions                                   Cons to me,     Planets linear, static

Combat is fun                                                          Single player feel

Voice acting on quest givers                                    enviroments feel a bit empty,

skill trees felt pretty good                                       Bugs Bugs Bugs

I know forums and I will be bashed for my pros and cons but these are just some of my opinons after getting to 50.

Tell you the future....Free To Play!!   This is a single player game trying to sell itself as a MMO

yea but wouldnt it be nice to have option not to have to deal with companion?  I mean give me the choice to solo without them, and don't say you can solo same level mid bosses or mobs same level, not happening.

Just cancelled today, made it to level 38, had enough. No one was ever on my server either , always dead...not the reason I cancelled by the way

Oh and I dont like them but most people do I think   which is great for them but give me the option to not have to use them!

I am one to avoid pet classes in most mmo's, And swtor gives you no choice in the matter, you have to have one, every single class does., you will die without one, game was made from ground up with excpectation your using your pet. exuse me your companion

As this is an MMO, its unlikely it will ever be "finished" but yes I do hope this next major patch at the end of the month fixes the items they've detailed it will fix.  Servers are currently down to fix some stability issues brought on by yesterdays minor patch.

While your original post is assumed at this point as  pure baiting , it appears it has some merit, as your title says it best,  this is a great game.

Thanks for your breakdown "Dwight from The Office" lol.

I can't wait till they finish it!

There just is not enough here to justify around $200 a year.  If  This game had a lower sub rate or even a small fee when they start to add additional content would be far more justified. People get upset when you compare it to wow, fair enough but when you charge $15 a month you put yourself in that arena. This not a bad game just a bit pricey.

Thats it in a nutshell..its a single player game ..period. the chat and the classes are completley based an single player period. This game is NOT worth a $15 month sub.

. . . I think DCUO would be a FANTASTIC single player game with mulitplayer PVP and NO SUBSCRIPTION.

I would agree completely, if SOE doesn't come out with monthly content updates like I've heard they proposed to do.  The thought of monthly content updates, sort of like a comic book, to extend the stories and such, is a great idea and can really extend the life of the game, for me at least.

+1 here.

In fact if they lumped 3 to 6 months content together and made a reasonable (small) charge that would be acceptable too. "Here is some content, pay me" would be more palatable then "Pay me and I promise to deliver content"...especially with Sony's rep.

Thats it in a nutshell...it really is a single player game so the $15 bucks a month is a killer to me. This game needs to be f2p.

how do people have such strong and diehard opinions about  a game that hasn't even been released?

This is his point , its lame that gear is the motivating factor or the reason to progress. He saying is should be about the game not gear playing the same damn raids thousand times to get "gear"

I agree. I loose all motivation to play endgame as you grind to look like every other level cap character. They just keep dangling that carrot out there, "oh you spent months grinding for the best gear well hear is the new best gear let the grinding start all over again" Playing the endgame and beating bosses is fun but not 50 times.

WTF!!??

Game has been fun, but the powers need alot of ironing out, also I'm level 13 and already have more powers than I can assign hotkeys for, very frustrating it makes gaining new powers feel usleless

Just me who finds it annoying that the would release games on a Monday!

At this point I have had my account locked out several times for "suspicious activity" when I leave the game for any amount of time. I am continually bombarded by e-mails for Blizzard Entertainment telling me I am trying to change the e-mail adress(even though i have not) associated with my Battlenet account, as well as spam from gold farming sites. I set up a new account to use the 10 day free trial and that account within the first couple hours of being active received spam for world of warcraft gold.

So at this point it feels as though when you log into Wow or battlenet your logging into a untrusted or phishing website.

If you're using an ASUS brand video card and have installed the Gaming OSD software, this has been dropping framerates to very low numbers.

There are other reports where the NVIDIA nView software may contribute to low framerates. Try removing nView.
