Give Aion a chance! Seriously, i know its a large grind near the max cap. But think about it, this game reuqires people with a giant determination and willpower to get through to level 50. So all you criers out there, give it a shot contiune to play and with a good determination and willpower you can reach high level.

Sorry, my giant determination and excessive willpower are reserved for things that really matter such as my career and my relationships in the real world.

A meaningless game? Not so much...not even close.

Exactly my thoughts!

Interesting...I thought that would be another DARKFALL (Epic Fail), but maybe this is becoming a good MMO. Gonna  track this with more attention.

Its the best news for this month!

Q1:  1 server with 100 cities with capacity for 100 players each.

Q2: Dont know, but I hope we can swap Cities.

Q3: I think we can choose the City.

Q4: They always call players who u have a change to beat. What could happens is: Imagine U have a squad of four players level 4 and u rob a bank. They could call a Enforcers squad  with 4 guys Lvl 4 or...they could call only a enforcer Lvl 10!!! But dont forget one thing. U can always beat the oponents! Thats what I think is amazing in this game! U can do the same mission 10 times, but U never know what will happen!! They could send 1 guy, 2 guys even 4 guys to intercetpt U, or they can jump on U in the start of the mission, or in the middle of  transport . They could have good tactics to take U down , they could be really shitty!!...U...JUST... DONT... KNOW!!! Just awesome!

I just saw this trailler at least 10 times already!!

"SPRING 2010"??!!?? Im going to cry....I WANT THIS GAME NOW!!!

I was in the Closed Beta. All I can say is that is looking very good! And Im very anxious about the Campaign Map stuff, because is going to be the core of this game.

Hummm...I Choose...NONE!!...Thank U very much.

Im going to choose Enforcer! Because something tells me that will be lots of people choosing gangster, and that means...lots of targets! HEHEHE....

Cant wait to play this game! Tracking this one for a looong time! I might Pre-Order.

Most people Hate Aion because they say the game lacks content and only the graphics is whats attracting players. i see a lot of " i got a couple characters pass lvl 10 and it all feel pretty much the same to me yadedeyada" but with those people is that they failed to realise MAYBE Aion's game content happens at laters lvls? im sure beta only goes up to lvl 30 and people to grinded to around that lvl over and over again must feel bored with the game. use common sense! Wow doesnt have all its content shown at lvl 10s do they!

Im sorry, but if I dont  like a game in the first hours I considerer a Fail! This game is just another Asian grinding festival with nice graphics and lame quests ( Bring X baskets of fruit!!??!!) Im fed up with this type of MMORPG! How about some interesting story? Plz no more "Kill X rats because I want to get rid of this pest in my village"!  If this goes on, it could be the end for  MMO Genre. No Imagination! Just using same old formulas! Maybe "APB "makes the diference or "SW:TOR"...

Its too early to tell. But for now it feels very cool. I have become a Illuminati member!

I got one too!!!! Awesome!!

Im so happy like a dog with 2 d&%ks!!! All thanks to MMORPG.COM! Finnaly gonna try this game!

Solid review, definitely agree with most of your points (though never got past lvl 20 myself, too many alts...).

One thing I will say though is that a decent proportion of the negativity of your review revolves around issues of balance and competitiveness. Clearly you're approaching the game with a very PVP-centric perspective, and that's fine (I do enjoy PVP myself) but keep in mind that this is not, and has never been, the main direction of Cryptic's work. Just as with CoX, it's sorta been tacked on more as a fan service afterthought than the central focus of the game, probably once again with the intention of fleshing it out with later (paid) expansions.

With that in mind then, I would qualify my agreement with your review by saying that fans of PVP may be frustrated by having to go with cookie-cutter power sets in order to stand a fighting chance, but this will not be an issue for PVE fans (especially those who tend to play in groups rather than solo) - there's plenty to do, and plenty of viable powers to do it with, and against mobs the only thing your power choices will affect is the difficulty level of the game. If you're a diehard PVPer with a penchant for spandex, I'd say hold out for DCU which is (according to the hype) built around player hero vs villain conflict right out of the box.

I agree that PvP was what I had the most major issue with, and yes as a PvE game it probably doesn't get much better then CO.  Now for a slight down turn though, I think Cryptic has been planning PvP with Villains in the future...  as they've said already they already have 2 planned expansions and are working on the content.... the nemesis system, the one I love so much, could easily be flipped into a villain system.  Personally I think the Devs wanted to get the jump on DCUO so they've let PvP fall to the wayside until they can polish out the balance and maybe flip the switch so your nemesis can be a controllable PvP character later on.  Then again I could be wrong, but it just seems like such a setup.

To LoboMau:

The missions are not cookie cutter CoX,  I like the open missions style of CO, every now and then you'll get some surprise missions where they'll ask you to do something out of the ordinary.  Between the two I like COs missions a lot better.

THX for the reply. I might try this game then.
