I've seen a lot of threads for PC requirements but I was wondering what kind of bandwidth might be suitable for this game. I have a basic DSL package that gives me about 1.2Mbps (which is about a 150 kilobyte/sec download speed). Will I see lag caused by poor connection in siege battles and such? |

These are the kinds of things that AoC will solve. There are hundreds of discussions in forums that can't be solved by simply negotiating, this is why we need wars. We can solve these pointless arguments by killing each other in wars. Its the same reason why there are wars in real life. Wars succeed where negotiations fail. If someone is dead then the argument dies too. People like me look at the good side of all these fights in the forums...at least it will mean some pretty intense fights in the game too. |

Hey all, I'm looking to recruit people that have a strong ability for leadership and organization. The Vithar empire is a new guild made for AoC and is looking to get membership up off the ground. If you want to play an important role in a strong guild with high goals come apply for a captain position. Captains and leaders will be a huge determining factor in deciding how the guild develops in AoC. Of course we're also recruiting anyone else who may want to join and be a Vithar soldier so go check out our website |

Hey sinistrad The D'Haran Empire is recruiting. We're a brand new guild for AoC so we're still looking for a player base. We're also trying to fill in leadership roles and captains and our focus will be on PvP. We're setting up 3 sqauds or 'Files' that'll work together in PvE and raiding when there is no PvP to be had at the time. If it sounds like something you're interested in check out the website www.dharan.co.nr |

I haven't played this game since back in December, but last I checked when you walked while riding your horse, the running animation is still playing. In return, your horse looks like he's running, but moving really slow. Does that still happen? If so, a new walking animation for those horses would be nice. |

Here's what I recommend your system specs be for running this game smoothly and with good quality. Textures are big so get a graphics card with at least 512mb of memory. If you wanna be on the safe side, grab something similar to an 8800gtx with 768mb of memory. If you're running vista, 3gb of RAM is a must, 4gb would be preferable. To reduce loading screen times the Hard Drive RPM is important. I suggest getting one at 10000 RPM, but if its not that much of a bother ur average 7200 RPM SATA won't be a problem. For the processor, I haven't read into how much it works the CPU, I expect your average dual core will be fine. Any other odds and ends are up to you, but the big thing will be the RAM and the Graphics card. Go for high end on both of those. Good Luck. |

The game uses HUGE textures so when getting a graphics card, your deciding factor should be how much memory the card has. It was reported that outside you can use upwards of about 512mb of video memory on 1600 x 1200 res and up. The game is not programmed to take advantage of SLI as of right now either so don't bother doubling up on lower end cards. My suggestion is going with an 8800gtx with 768 mb of RAM or similar card. For more information on system performance check out this thread: http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/177019
That should give you better insight to which card to get. Good luck. |
